Scene 1: The Argument Begins

Milo 
Oh dear, oh dear! Here we go again! Every day, Babis the dog and Jack the cat fight like thunder and lightning!

Babis (barking):
Jack! You stole my bone again!

Jack (hissing):
I did NOT! You put it on my side of the yard!

Babis (growling):
You are always in my way!    

Jack (tail flicking):
You are always barking too loud!

Milo:
See? They fight about EVERYTHING! But… (whispering) they actually love each other!

(Enter Luna and Rex, shaking their heads.)

Luna (crossing arms):
You two are so silly!

Rex (nodding):
You fight like enemies, but you are best friends.

Babis and Jack (together, arms crossed):
NO, WE ARE NOT!

Scene 2: The Trouble Begins

(Suddenly, Tina the mouse runs in, looking worried.)

Tina:
Oh no, oh no! The park gate is open, and the Big Scary Dog from next door is coming!

(Babis and Jack freeze, looking at each other.)

Babis:
Uh-oh… That dog is HUGE!

Jack (gulping):
And he doesn’t like cats… or dogs… or anything!

Charlie (jumping in, excited):
Ooooh, this is going to be a BIG problem!

Bella (the wise owl, flying in):
Calm down, everyone. We must work together!

Scene 3: Teamwork Saves the Day!

Babis:
I guess… we can work together this time.

Jack:
Fine! Just this one time!

(They whisper a plan, then stand tall as the Big Scary Dog enters.)

Big Scary Dog (offstage, growling):
Grrrrr! Who is in my way?!

(Babis barks loudly, Jack hisses, and everyone else joins in, making scary noises.)

Babis and Jack (together):
GO AWAY, BIG DOG!

(The Big Scary Dog runs away! Everyone cheers!)

Scene 4: A Happy Ending

Luna:
See? You make a great team!

Rex:
You two love each other, admit it!

Babis (grinning):
Pfft. Love? I just like his help.

Jack (smirking):
Yeah, yeah. And I just like his big, loud bark.
