Somewhere, deep below~
There stood the Kingdom of Marindor, towering above all coral reefs and stretches of the deep sea. Through the beams of sunlight, dolphins, octopi, jellyfish, and fishes of all colors and shapes would swim through columns of seaweed and in and out of coral reefs
But Marindor was ruled by the vain Sea Queen, who’s said to have the nastiest stinger of all the seas
One day, the Oracle of Marindor had a vision of a beautiful clam shell, that contained the shiniest of pearls- this was The Elysian Pearl, capable of restoring anything to its natural beauty.
The Sea Queen wanted such a pearl to herself.
A benevolent manta ray named Caspian was called to the top of the palace, to stand there before the Queen of Marindor.
“You have been chosen to seek out this pearl,” said the Queen, upon her throne. “You alone were prophesied by the oracle herself to find it."
“What?! But.. I don’t know where it is! And I’m not a good fighter or anything.”
“The Elysian Pearl is hidden in the outskirts of the seafloor. But it is surrounded by monsters which you are to pass through. Go now, and good luck!”
So Caspian followed his majesty’s directions through the trenches and hydrothermal vents.
The shell could only be hidden in the darkest of waters. Caspian needed light.
There, he saw a light, which sprung good thoughts from him. “Oh, what a relief! I can see!”
But then he got too close, and when he did, he could finally see that the light wasn’t just a light- it was a beast! It had the sharpest of teeth, taking up half its face.
“You need to floss you teeth! Here, I have some seaweed.” “Huh?” startled, the beast.
“Wow! My teeth feel a lot cleaner!”
“Thank you! For this, I’ll spare your life!"
Caspian continued to trek through the deep sea, finding and helping the creatures he met along the way.
Caspian was a kind soul, who always tried to kelp others and give them the benefit of the doubt. Unlike the queen, who was the most shellfish of all.
Caspian did not want to help a shellfish queen, but had no choice. Eventually, he saw an actual light coming from a tunnel.
There it was- the Elysian Pearl, in all its glory.
