After Jamie went home Jason continued working
in his brothers sawmill. He decided that he missed
Jamie so he started on a letter of what he wanted to
tell her the whole time time she was gone. It began
like this,
Dear Jamie, every thing has changed since the
time you've been gone, my brothers have made a
lot of money ,toiling, since we started making that
motel, charlie sent me a letter saying that he got to
see his mom and when he got back he brought his
mom a gift it was a portrait of the northern light in
canada, he had bought it from a guy on the boat on
the way back home. All I have to say is that I really
miss you, Jamie, and I wanted to tell you that me
and my brothers wanted to give you a little gift.

In the envelope that Jason had for Jamie he put
another envelope with a note on the envelope
saying,
Your gift is in here I hope you like it.
He marked it with a smiley face and and slipped
$100 inside then he put a note saying,
Here is some money for a boat ticket for you
and Homer! I hope you enjoy.
Then Jason put the note in with the envelope.
He closed it up and put it down, after he went back
to the sawmill and started working, his brothers
weren't even there, he continued working and then
he saw a shadow in the corner of his eye. It wasn't
any shadow it was an unusual shadow, when he
went

to get a better look and it was... "Abe, Ethan, what
are you guys doing out here and what was that
weird figure?'' said Jason.
"Well,'' Abe said, "that weird figure was" then he
got cut off with barking and the sound of claws on
the ground. Abe said "a dog!''
The dog was a cute little black lab whose fur was
as soft as silk. It was a boy dog. It loved Jason so
much it was like a little teddy bear that could never
get enough attention.''I wanna name him Teddy"
Jason said with excitement.
Abe and Ethan were inside now watching Jason
play with teddy outside by the tree. He was having
so much fun they didn't think he would be able to
get over the thing with King and except this new dog

into his life, but he surprised them.
When Jason was playing with teddy he realized
that he forgot to send the letter to Jamie,so he
went inside to get the letter and he put the
address on it and sent it to her, then he waited. He
waited and hoped that one day Jamie would come
and he could get one more moment to talk to her.
After he went outside and Teddy wasn't there
he had runaway he had look every where he could
think of but he didn't find him.
When Abe and Ethan got home Jason had told
them about what happened with Teddy. At that
moment they went outside to look for Teddy.
When they were outside they called for Teddy, and
all there was, was silence. Then all of the sudden
they

heard barking and there he was Teddy was running
toward them. Jason was so excited. He was glad he
didn't lose his new dog on the first day of getting
him.
When he was inside, he was playing with Teddy.
Teddy was so cute he kept falling off Jason's bed
and he would jump back up and lick Jason. Then he
realized about the letter that he had sent to Jamie,
and all he could do was think about her.
In the morning Jason woke up and took Teddy
outside to go to the bathroom, then he feed him and
gave him some water. All he could do was think
about Jamie and the letter. He was fretting about
the letter, and if it even got to her, or if she would
even want to come back.

On the way to work and the whole time there
he could not stop thinking of Jamie and the letter.
All day he was caught not doing his work, because
he was thinking of the letter.
After work he decided to go home and play with
Teddy. Then, he went to the field to let Teddy run
around. When he got home Jason was tired so he
laid down and he suddenly felt great consolation,
then fell asleep.
When he woke up one week later he went
outside to let Teddy go pee and then he saw a boat
pull in to the dock. The first person to get off was
an old man who had a cane and a top hat. Then he
could not believe his eyes it was Jamie! He was as
excited as a kid on christmas morning!
