Jason was on his way to the saw mill when
he heard something, he heard a dog whimper.
He looked to the left of him towards some
bushes and as to his surprise, there was a
female golden retriever shivering in the cold.
Jason immediately ran over to the dog to see
what was wrong. Jason noticed the dog had
blood on its right paw.
Jason scooped the dog into his arms and
ran back to his brother's saw mill. He laid the
dog down in some blankets to warm her up.
After she warmed up, he found some
bandages

in the main office desk drawer. He went over
to the pup and bandaged her up like a doctor.
After some time, he got up the courage to
ask his brothers if he could keep the golden
retriever. His brothers were against it at first
until they saw the condition of the cold and
injured dog. The brothers then agreed to allow
Jason to keep the dog. Jason was relieved and
happy to have a new friend in his life.
The golden retriever was a girl. He decided
to name her after his husky, King, had passed
away. He named her Queen. Queen and Jason

became very close friends.
Jason was curious as to what had
happened to Queen. He was worried that she
would not get the right attention for her injury.
He anxiously searched around Dawson City for
a Veterinarian doctor that could help her out.
After a few hours of searching, Jason finally
came across an animal hospital where Queen
would be treated for her injury.
After finding the animal doctor, Jason
hustled back to the saw mill to pick up Queen.
Once they got to the animal hospital, they

met the doctor who was named Dr. Susan
Johnson. She was a very kind lady who was
more than willing to help Queen. Queen was
scared to be in a different surrounding, it
seemed. Jason stood next to her which calmed
her down through her appointment.
Dr. Johnson stitched up Queen's paw.
Jason could not thank the doctor enough for
saving his dog. After Queen was done with her
stitches, Jason carried her home back to her
bed of blankets at the saw mill. That night,

Jason slept next to Queen, comforting her
throughout the night.
