Collaborative Story 

"Journey to the 

Planet of Fun Mathematics”

Once upon a time there was a little boy who was playing with shapes. He tried to imagine what the shapes could be. He looked at the oval: « This could be a rocket and I would be an astronaut! » His girl friend arrived at this moment…

He invited his girlfriend to his game with shapes and they imagined that they were astronauts together and as the rocket was getting ready to fly into the sky, he counted 3-2-1 "LIFT OFF" and the flight began.

He show a lot of stars in the sky and he started to count them 1,2,3,,4,5…… but there were a lot of them in the sky shining and flickering..!!!

He immediately approached the stars with his rocket. As he got closer, he saw that there were other curious astronauts who had come to visit the stars.

Curious, they began to compare the stars between them, noting that some were big like the circles, others like the points, and together they tried to group them in pairs and see how many different shapes they could count on each planet.

But our astronauts also noticed a very small and bright planet in the far reaches of space! So they headed towards it to explore it. When they landed, they met a multicolored alien looking at them with a huge smile like a semicircle! He welcomed them and introduced himself. His name was Biribiri! "Come and let me show you around my small but beautiful planet," he told them…

Biribiri smiled at the children and said:

“If you have 3 stars and find 2 more, how many stars do you have in total?”

Then he added: “If each of you has 4 space pebbles, how many do you have together?”

The two friends started thinking and counting quickly, eager to discover what surprises Biribiri had prepared for them!

The little astronauts eagerly began to arrange the glowing shapes, carefully placing them in the dark sky to form patterns never seen before. As they connected the shapes, a beautiful new constellation appeared, shining brightly like a message to future explorers. Biribiri clapped excitedly and said: "Now, your imagination will light up the universe forever!’”

They stood up and saw a square-shaped spacecraft approaching them, inside of which were two green aliens, one big and one small. I guess they realized the message written to the universe and came.

The big alien stepped out of the ship and nodded friendly. “Hello, little explorers! We are from the Square Planet and saw your amazing star pattern. Your creativity has illuminated the universe and sparked our curiosity!”  The little alien looked around curiously and suddenly started jumping with joy. “Wow! This is amazing! Can we create another star pattern together?”  Everyone started to put together geometric shapes, mazes.

Suddenly, in the galaxy, a strange rain of shapes began to fall. Circles, triangles, squares, and polygons descended from the sky, flooding the universe. The little astronauts and the alien Biribiri looked on in awe. "This rain is unique!" said Biribiri. "Let’s build a city out of shapes!"

They began collecting the shapes and placing them on the planet. The circles became roads, the triangles roofs, the squares walls, and the polygons gardens.

Biribiri smiled and said, "This city shows how imagination and mathematics combine to create something beautiful and unique."  The city of shapes was complete, and everyone enjoyed their daily life in a world filled with harmony and imagination. The universe became more understandable, as each shape had its own value.

The little astronauts were excited about their colorful city! They decided to count how many shapes they had used to build it. "

Let’s see! 12 circles, 8 triangles, 5 squares, and 5 polygons!" – shouted the boy. "

How much is that in total?" – asked Biribiri. The children thought for a moment and counted on their fingers. "12… 8… 5… and 5… That’s 30!" – the girl cheered. 

Suddenly, something started falling from the sky again – this time, it was numbers!

-Wow, it's raining with numbers! I like the numbers! Biribiri, said happily.

-Let's gather them and place them in the right order.

- Good idea, says one of the astronauts! Or we can create a maze of numbers, it will be so much fun!”

The two astronauts collected many numbers and created a mathematical maze for Biribiri.  It was not difficult for him to go through it, because he liked mathematics. 

-Math can be fun, he said, when you have friends to play with!

And just as they were talking about how fun math can be, they felt somebody touching them out of the blue, but the little astronauts and their friend didn't see anyone.

- Hey, who touched me? They were surprised.

A gentle voice was heard:

-It's me, Rainbow Alien, but an evil witch has cast a spell on me to make me invisible until I give her the correct answers to the problems she asked me, one for each of my colors. But I don't know math. Please help me!

-We will help you, tell us the problems!

Let's see! "Three little bees, they went for a walk today. But one of them, in a big hurry, quickly fell on a flower. How many more are there for a walk? " . "Two ducklings are sitting on the lake and they are playing: poppy, poppy, poppy! Two more are coming on the path. How many are there? Count them!" The two astronauts began to think and count quickly, eager to discover the answer.

- Finally, I have escaped the spell, said the Rainbow Alien, now I can continue my journey further. Thanks to my friends!

Rainbow Alien continued his journey to his planet. But at the border he was stopped by the time fairy, who only let him cross the border if he named the seasons. Little Rainbow Alien failed to name the seasons, so he again asked for the help of the astronauts.

“ My friends, please help me!  Could you tell me the names of seasons? Fairy time doesn’t let me cross the border if I don't tell the seasons correctly!” said  Rainbow Alien. “Oh, don’t worry, beautiful Rainbow Alien ! Listen carefully! Spring, summer, autumn and winter and again spring, summer, autumn and winter and again….” said the astronauts “ Thank you, I understand the 4 seasons turn like the circle”  said the Rainbow Alien and ran immediately to tell the seasons to Fairy time. This time said the name of seasons and fairy time let it cross the border.

When they crossed the border the little astronauts and Rainbow Alien were very happy! So they decided to play hide and seek in space! One hid behind a large planet, while the other sneaked in between two small satellites. The Rainbow Alien, with its bright tail, slipped under the planet Earth, trying not to be seen. Suddenly a bright comet passed in front of them and everyone turned to admire it. Behind the comet came a strange clock-shaped spaceship.

While they were wondering who this clock-shaped ship belonged to, the ship came to a stop next to them. An alien with a clock-shaped body got out of it. He approached the Astronauts and the Rainbow Alien and said; -Hello, my name is the Time Ruler, time is my responsibility in space.

Hearing this, the Rainbow Alien and the Astronauts got excited…

-That's great, can you turn back time?

The Time King smiled at the astronauts. "If you want to turn back time, you must solve a riddle!" he said.

One of the astronauts asked excitedly: "What is the riddle?"

The Time King asked: "It comes from the past to the present, never stopping. What is it?"

The Rainbow Alien thought and shouted, "Time!"

"That's right!" said the Time King. "Your reward will be to see your beautiful moments in the past!"

In an instant, golden light surrounded them and their past memories came before their eyes. "Time is very precious!" they said and counted from 1 to 10, returning to their present time and preparing for new adventures.

The Prep B explorers were filled with joy after their time-travel adventure. They waved goodbye to the Time King and continued their journey through the stars. Suddenly, Biribiri shouted:

 “Look! A galaxy shaped like a giant number spiral!”As they got closer, they saw numbers swirling around, forming addition and subtraction problems in the stars.

 “Let’s solve them to discover a new path!” said one of the children. Working together, they solved the puzzles  and suddenly, a bright path of stardust opened ahead, leading them toward a new mystery. “Where will it take us next?” whispered the Rainbow Alien, smiling. Their adventure wasn’t over yet…

AMAZING ! ! ! 

What kind of planet is this … we have never seen something like this ! Flying watches everywhere! They fly higher than us. Look, there's a sign here too... FUTURE PLANET... it shows us what will happen in the future... precious!!!! 

Let's discover the future…

As they walked on Future Planet a robotic guide approached them. 

"Welcome! Here, numbers come to life!" it said with a smile. Suddenly the mumbers began forming a mysterious message. "Can we decoded?", they wondered excitedly. 

"Oh, yes. The munbers form the year of the future time."

"This is not the year 2025, but 2052"!

The numbers sparkled and formed "2052." "Wow! We are in the future!" exclaimed the astronaut. Suddenly, a kind robot appeared: "In 2052, schools are on floating clouds!" The children laughed, "Can we fly to school?" The robot nodded and took them onto a soft cloud. "And now?" asked the Rainbow Alien. "Now... we learn to fly!" they all replied, ready for a new adventure!
