Book 1:

That's Not Just a Girl Thing!

This is Ben!

Ben loved to jump, to spin, and to twirl.
He danced through the kitchen, made his big brother whirl!

He saw a ballet on the TV one day,
And said, “That’s what I want, to dance that way!

At dance class, the girls gave a stare.
“You do ballet?” one asked. “But you have short hair!”

Ben simply smiled and gave a small swing.
“Ballet’s not just a girl thing!”

He practiced each move, from plié to jeté,
And worked on his balance every day..

He soared in the air, light as a breeze,
Landing so softly, like feathers on trees.

At the big recital, Ben took the stage,
The crowd sat in silence, then burst from their cage!

They clapped and they cheered, “Bravo! Encore!”
Ben bowed with a grin, then danced even more.

Now kids ask Ben how to leap and to swing—
Because ballet’s not just a girl thing!

That's Not Just a Boy Thing!

Book 2:

Paige was a girl with a big dream—
She wanted to race cars that go vroom vroom vroom
