A is for Acceleration
Acceleration is a change in velocity
Ex. Sentence
The man accelerated as the light changed from red to
green.
B is for Battery
A battery is a container consisting one ore more cells
in which chemical energy is transformed into
electricity and is use as a power source.
Ex. Sentence
I need to put new batteries in the remote so that it will
work.

C is for Charge (Electrical)
An electrical charge is the physical property of matter that
causes it to experience a force when placed in an
electromagnetic field. There are two types of electric
charges: positive and negative.
Ex. Sentence
You get a positive electrical charge when you put two
opposite poles together on a magnet.
D is for Distance
Distance is how far something has moved in a given amount
of time
Ex. Sentence
Michael walked a great distance from his house to Walmart
in only ten minutes.

E is for Electric Circuit
An electric circuit is a path in which electrons from a
voltage or current source flow.
Ex.Sentence
Electric current flows in a closed path called an electric
circuit.
F is for force
A force is a push or pull or any strength that has the
ability to move an object.
Ex.Sentence
When you kick a ball you are putting a force upon it.

G is for Gravitational Potential Energy
Gravitational potential energy is energy an object
possesses because of its position in a gravitational field.
Ex.Sentence
If a roller coaster is at it's highest point it has lots of
gravitational potential energy.
H is for Horsepower
Horsepower is a unit of power equal to 550 foot-pounds
per second (745.7 watts).
Ex.Sentence
A Nissan car has more horsepower than a Honda car

I is for Inertia
Inertia is a tendency to do nothing or to remain
unchanged.
Ex.Sentence
A building has inertia because it does not move unless a
force acts on it.
J is for Joule
A joule is the SI unit of work or energy.
Ex.Sentence
The volt is equal to 1 joule per coulomb

K is for Kinetic Energy
Kinetic energy is the energy of movement.
Ex.Sentence
If a baseball is flying across the sky it has lots of kinetic
energy.
L is for the Law of Conservation of Energy
Law of Conservation of Energy states that the total
energy of an isolated system remains constant—it is
said to be conserved over time.
Ex.Sentence
The first law of thermodynamics is a statement of the
law of conservation of energy for a thermodynamic
system.

M is for Momentum
Momentum is the quantity of motion of a moving body,
measured as a product of its mass and velocity.
Ex.Sentence
This rotation can be described as angular momentum, a
conserved measure of its motion that cannot change.
N is for Newton(force)
Newton is the SI unit of force.
Ex.Sentence
We use Newtons to measure force.

O is for Ohm
Ohm is the SI unit of electrical resistance, expressing the
resistance in a circuit transmitting a current of one ampere
when subjected to a potential difference of one volt.
Ex.Sentence
The dipole has a built-in transformer to match the 72 ohm
balanced terminal impedance to 50 ohm unbalanced feeder
cable.
P if for Potential Energy
Potential Energy is stored energy an object has due to
position.
Ex.Sentence
A ball that is on a high shelf has a lot of potential
energy.

R is for Resistance Force
Resistance Force is the force which an effort force must
overcome in order to do work on an object via a simple
machine.
Ex.Sentence
Resistance force is measured in newtons or in pounds-
force.
S is for Speed
Speed is the rate at which something is able to move.
Ex.Sentence
In order to when the race John must pick up speed.
