Special thanks to my teacher and friends for giving me the motivation to write this book.

I couldn't recognize where I exactly was when I woke up. I feel my bare arms tingle from the sharp, tall grass swallowing me whole. I let myself lie there for a bit, my eyes fixated on the bright blue sky above me. All of the clouds were scattered away, and only the blazing sun accompanied the clear sky. This all felt too good to be true. Too good and too rare to see the sky be so bright once more. I decided to sit up and I froze when I saw where I was.
Around me were long, never-ending fields of flowers and grass. Every single flower stood tall and danced with the moving wind that blew by.
I couldn't remember the last time I saw so many different flowers. The way they symbolized the beginning of the upcoming warm seasons or the way they made everything more beautiful, more graceful. I wanted to admire these flowers till the day I die.
What brought me out of my daze was the sound of birds singing. I let myself relax and enjoy their melodies which were flying through the air.
Everywhere I looked, I saw more greenish fields. The fields rose and fell with the hills that were here and there. From far, far away, I saw a forest. I wondered what sort of mysteries the forest held.

The nature all around me looked alive and pure. Their lives still weren't drained.
I wanted to hold on to this beauty of nature, but I knew that would be impossible. I wanted to lie here forever, to feel the sun's tears grace my face and feel the wind flow by and brush my hair. I wanted to collect flowers and run through the fields like there was no tomorrow. I wanted to stay here, to feel alive and reconnect with life once more.
If only my yearns could be fulfilled.
I wonder how much longer I can stay here. Despite the feeling of happiness and wholeness that I get from this place, I can't help but feel the pain aching in my heart. The pain that this won't last. The pain that all of this is not real, and that I will have to face the actual world that I live in. Why can't I go back to start and save the city from the horrors that will corrupt it?
I sigh and fall back down on the grass. I take one last glance at the sky above me, soaking in every aspect of it, before I let my eyes close again.
Darkness consumes me, and before I know it, I open my eyes again. Instead of the clear blue sky that I longed to see once again, I saw the ceiling of my room. The dark and dirty ceiling that I was surprised to see was still holding. I glance at the clock on my nightstand and notice that it was past 12 already. I roll out of bed and look out the window. The sky was grey and sick, the clouds were even darker. The sun's bright light was hidden behind all of the clouds. I couldn't hear any of the birds singing, instead I heard the sounds of cars beeping, construction works and mad shouts

I leave my room and walk down the musty hall. The floor creaked below me from my footsteps.
As I entered the kitchen, I was once again faced with gloominess. In the middle of the room was a table with a few chairs. Dead flowers were placed in an empty vase, they were dead from dehydration. Also, due to the lack of sun in this place, the
flowers could not stay alive.
Only small lights passed
through the window, making
everything a bit more alive. I
decided not to stay here for long and left.
Instead of fresh air, I was faced with polluted air that made my throat ache. The streets were dirty, and there was trash in every corner. Plastic bags full of random stuff that began to reek after a few days. Papers and food were dropped all over the place.
The outside of the houses lacked color. Every single house was greyish and dark, windows were dirty and the houses seemed not to have been cleaned for a long time.
Some houses were barely standing as the wood began to rot from the long years that they had spent making the houses stable.

Walking further into the city, I saw many dead trees and polluted waters that weren't bright blue with creatures living in them. No one dared to get water from the rivers unlike before. Before everything went wrong.
I saw many fabrics, too many actually. The poisonous gas that flew from the fabrics made our air worse. The only reason our city was still standing was because of these fabrics. They were the key to everything now. All of the stores and items are run by fabrics.
