On Safer Internet Day, we talked with our students about the conscious and beneficial use of the internet.
We covered topics such as screen time management, safe internet use, digital footprints, and online kindness. Students Also shared their own experiences and habits at home, making the discussion more engaging and relatable.

On Safer Internet Day, our kindergarten students participated in fun and educational activities to learn about staying safe online. We joined a special webinar where we explored important topics like being kind online and protecting personal information. The children also enjoyed watching engaging videos that taught them how to use the internet safely in an age-appropriate way. Through these activities, our young learners took their first steps in understanding digital responsibility in a fun and interactive manner!

As part of Safer Internet Day, we organized various educational activities to help children learn how to use the internet safely and responsibly. The children watched short videos about internet safety and how to use online tools wisely. Together, we discussed which icons are safe to click and what they mean. The children explored emotions they might experience when using the internet and thought about the kind of messages they would like to receive online. We also explained the importance of telling a trusted adult if something online feels wrong or upsetting. To celebrate bravery, the children created their own colourful laptops with safe, happy content displayed on the screens.

First, we brainstormed with my students about safe internet use. Then we watched an educational presentation. I shared the same presentation with my parents. We learned what we can and can not share on the internet and safety rules.

The 1st Kindergarten of Agia Marina celebrated this day with activities such as 1. we met the Hero and Heroine of the internet and learned about Kindness (in which parts of the body it can live and we drew it) 2. we made our colorful kind hand that makes us happy and proud of ourselves. 3. we built the vest with the personal data (we stuck inside what we don't want everyone to know and outside what we want to share) 4. we talked about the courage it takes in some cases to talk to someone we trust and colored the elixir of courage with the emotions it includes. 5. we played with the happy and the sad face, each time moving the comment to one or the other, and we played with the on off switch, discussing when weneed to have our tablet on and when it's off.5. we created a poster with messages for a safer internet, we took part in the saferinternet4kids competition, we played digital games in Interland. Finally we read the fairy tale of @Papaki

We watched videos about internet safety and we learned who to distinguish between what is okay to do online and what is not. Then, we did a sorting game to apply what we learned.
