Hi, my name is Kaiya. I am in the 6th grade. My favorite color is pink. I'm funny ,kind and truthful, and I will be telling you how my first year In middle school was. 

my first day of middle school was amazing. when I walked in there for the first time, I was a little nervous, but as I warmed up I made new friends, I was building relationships with new people and crushing my schoolwork.

The rest of that month was ALL smiles. I was still getting to know the school and people in it. work was getting easier by the day ,and I was feeling really confident.

yeah, that was until things started getting real. I went to community meeting, and they started talking about red sheets and CIAs. me personally I was fine because I wasn't doing anything bad anyways, but they started making more rules that we had to follow. which made it a little bit challenging to have fun.

As usual I kept pushing and doing what I was supposed to do. it started to seem like DRAMA was coming into the picture between some of my friends , and I did not know what to do.

I had a couple arguments and someone came in-between me and one of my friends, but I did not let that bring me down. I just continued on being a good student, and focusing on the positive  

slowly but surely, they started to put flyers all around the school for sports tryouts, and it was my dream for the past year to play basketball so I already had it in my head that I was going to play.

basketball tryouts wear last out of all the sports and i felt left out because all of my friends made the teams they wanted and i was STILL waiting.

well i was patient that whole time for no reason at all because the day of basketball tryouts i was not at school because i was sick

 soooooo,  all of my friends started talking about dance, and  cheer and I decided I was going to tryout for the cheer team. since I was a really good dancer and there was nothing else for me to do.

 Not  going to lie I was very nervous but I found the courage to tryout for the cheer team. I did it with my  friend Reagan and we both made the cheer team. I was soooo happy and overjoyed because I couldn't believe it.

i was crushing all my cheers and dances, and I was so happy and proud of myself for doing so well. I was keeping up with my work and doing other things.

Speaking of other things as soon as cheer was getting good my drama teacher Ms. Ashanti started posting flyers for the school play. at first I was not going to do it, but between her and my mom they encouraged me to do it so I auditioned. 

After auditions I was waiting for the cast list , but after two long weeks I found out I was in the school play Moana serving as a chief ancestor !!!!!!!!!!!

cheer practice and play rehearsals were going great and I did some excellent work on my MAP test. (7th GRADE LEVEL)!!!

TIME FOR CHRISTMAS BREAK/MY BIRTHDAYYYYYYYY!

we got out of school on December 18th and my birthday is the 22nd. so with that being said, I got my hair and nails done for my party! 

on the 21st I had my birthday party at a first watch and i got a kurt geiger, a Stanley cup, some hoodies, some outfits, and some jewelry.   

The next day was my birthday I was turning  12 and first I went to the movies to see MUFASA with my family, then we got ice cream cake and ordered pizza to the house. I got a couple more gifts and my cousin slept over my house. we stayed up all night! 

On the 23rd my grandmother took me and my cousin shopping and we had so much fun at the store. I got so many things.
