The GAL bird began its journey from Portugal to Romania.

GAL began its journey in the city of Porto, flying over the Douro River where it found several rabelo boats loaded with barrels of the famous Port wine.

GAL traveled to the capital of Portugal, Lisbon, and flew over the 25th of April Bridge. Near the 25th of April Bridge is the Monument to the Discoveries.

This monument symbolizes the tribute to the historical figures involved in the Portuguese Discoveries.

At this stage of the trip, Gal was a little tired, so she decided to take a break and landed in Barcelona. She took the opportunity to visit the famous monument designed by Gaudi, the Sagrada Família. Did you know that this monument is not yet finished?

When she left Barcelona, Gal flew to Paris and took the opportunity to see the Eiffel Tower. At the end of the day she continued her journey!

Leaving behind the city of Paris, Gal crossed the skies to Romania where she met Ro.

               The flight of the Ro Eagle over Romania

   The eagle is the symbolic bird of the Romanians. It has watched over the path and destiny of the Romanian people.

     The Ro Eagle surveys with its sharp gaze the lofty mountains, forested hills, crystal clear waters, and fertile plains of Romania.

    Fierce or gentle wild animals, playful fish and enchanting birds inhabit the centuries-old forests of our country.

   The Romanian Carpathians occupy a third of Romania's land area. Herds of sheep graze on alpine pastures. The glacial lakes and cliffs sculpted by water and wind are breathtaking. The Transfagarasan is a spectacular man-made road.
