Sincerely, Jenna Deblasis

In the sunny town of Amherst, a curious boy named Milo loved to play video games on his game console after school. His favorite game was "Monster Quest", where players teamed up to find magical monsters.

One afternoon, Milo was playing when a message popped up on his screen, "Hey want to be friends? What's your name? What school do you go to?" Milo gulped. He didn't recognize the username: FluffyFox678. He thought "Hmm.. I don't know this person.""

Milo remembered what his teacher, Miss Clinton said in class: "Never talk to strangers online. If you don't know them in real life, don't reply." He also remembered she said, "Never give out your personal information such as your name, where you live, or where you go to school."

Milo felt nervous. He didn't want to be rude. But something didn't feel right. So he did something brave and smart. He closed the chat box and went to talk to his big sister, Jane.

Jane gave Milo a big hug, "You did the right thing!" she said. She helped him block FluffyFox678 and report the message to the game report center. She said, "If someone makes you feel weird online. Always tell a grown up you trust. You are never alone."

The next day at school Milo told his class what happened. Ms. Clinton smiled and said, "Milo you're a Digital Safety Hero!"

She asked the class to say 3 Online Safety Rules out loud:
1. Don't talk to strangers online.
2. Don't share personal information.
3. Tell a trusted adult if something feels wrong.

Back at home, Milo felt proud. He had stayed safe and helped others. From that day on, Milo made sure to always play his video games smart and safe.

The End.
