Behind Mrs. Elpiniki’s garbage bin, an old cardboard box was waiting.
Once, it had held a brand-new shoe.
Now, it was crumpled, dirty... and sad.
No one needs me anymore..

Little Orfeas was passing by.
He had a spark-filled imagination and a gaze that
saw beyond things.

You look like
a fallen castle... would you like to become something else?

With scissors, paints, glue, and masking tape, Orfeas began to create.
He cut out little windows, painted flags, and stuck on bottle caps for wheels.
The box became a ROBOT!
Your name will be Riky!

The neighborhood children stopped playing only with balls.
They started making things out of trash —
boats from old bottles and little animals from kitchen rolls.
Mrs. Elpiniki’s yard turned into a small museum of creativity.

At first, Orfeas’s mother raised her eyebrows. But when she saw the robot singing, she smiled.
So much trash in the house? Maybe recycling doesn’t only happen in the bins. Maybe it happens in ideas too.

The box-robot stood at the entrance of the school. Next to it, there was a sign that read: I’m not trash. I’m a second chance. Recycle me with love. And everyone, young and old, read it. And something inside them changed.

I’m not trash.
I’m a second chance.
Recycle me with love.

When Orfeas saw it, he gently petted it and whispered to it.
You're not trash.
You're a friend
I’m not trash.
I’m a second chance.
Recycle me with love.
