Thomas was sitting in
class think... think...
thinking.
He had to study but didn't know
the information that he needed
look over. He had fallen asleep
in class again!

Please study for your test
on Judaism and
Zoroastrinism tomorrow!"
His teacher said politely.

"I can't even say Zoroa-sti-awhatsit."
Thomas said to himself as he walked
home.

When he got home, he noticed a lot of
sounds coming
from the basement.

His scientist mom and
engineer dad were
standing there and a
time machine portal
was right in front of
his eyes!
"Hey son! Want to try out the
new invention?" His dad asked.

Thomas thought this would be a great idea
to help him with his research and before he
knew it, he was going nearly 4,000 years
back to the past.

He had made it!

Thomas heard speaking so he hid.

"Oh Sarah, after traveling, I'm happy that God hath blessed us with ason. He told me that our child will help our people and be prosperous
to our civilization." spoke an old man. Thomas assumed this was Abraham.

"God hath also told me to tell our people to go to the Promised Land. He will protect them if they follow his laws and covenant. We must
worship only him and be monotheistic which means to only worship
one God. We will put his laws into a book and call it the Torah." Abraham said.

When Abraham's son, Isaac, grows up, he has a son of his own named named Israel. The Hebrews begin calling themselves
Israelites for being descendants of his. But they end up being
slaves of Egyptians.

"I've heard that Moses was chosen by God to go free the Israelites in Egypt!" Thomas heard someone in the village
say. Thomas got the idea to go with him to Egypt.

!

Moses goes and frees the Israelites! "We're going to Canaan- The Promised Land!" he exclaims.

"Can I come with you?" asked Thomas.

Moses agreed and with that, Thomas and the rest of the Israelites followed him to the Promised Land. However, they made a stop at Mt. Sinai where he
Spoke to God at the top of the mountain.

When he had come down, Moses told them about how God had told him about rules that they must follow. They were called the Ten
Commandments. After that, they continued on their journey to the
Promised Land.

The Israelites finally made it to what they thought was Canaan, the kingdom of Israel, but soon things got crazy. They were captured
AGAIN! They were all scattered and were forced to run.

Right when Thomas thought things couldn't getany worst...

They got weirder
He ended up back in the portal.

And now he was in Persia!
