Mikey lived in the pallet town. He had grown
up with his friend, and each one had a special
part in his life. When he wanted to play marbles,
he called Ron and Steve. If he needed some one to
help him he can just go ask Foxy or Ray. But he
never thought about making new friends until a
new family moved in near the lake.

Mikey was curious about the newcomers.
He rubbed his eyes as the workers unloaded
their things. The beds were made for giants,
and lamps is tall as trees.
When he saw the family, he was speechless
he ran away.

Mikey never met a giraffe before. He had heard about
them. He had learned about them and saw some
pictures of them. But he never had actually seen one.
Even the smallest giraffe was big and tall.
Mikey was so scared that he raced home.

"Mom a giraffe family moved in!"

"That's nice," said Mikey's mother. "Maybe you'll
make a new friend."

Franklin shook his head. " I don't think do mom they look terrible."

"I expected you to be nice when you meet someone
new," warned his mother

Franklin scowled.

The next morning john the giraffe joined Mikey's class.

"please give a warm welcome to your new
classmate," said Mr. Bird.
"Hello giraffe," said the class.

Giraffe mumbled hello and looked down.
"He doesn't look friendly," whispered steve the sheep
"I know right, anyway he looks terrible and
mean," mikey whispered.

Mr. Bird told everyone that giraffe had come from
a different place that is so far from here.
"Franklin," said Mr. Owl," I'd like you to helped
Giraffe,"
"But Mr.Owl he can do it by himself, his a big guy
and also his weird." Mikey replied
"Mikey that's rude," Mr.Bird scolded
"Fine," Mikey said.
Mikey tried to be confident in front of Giraffe but
he was nervous. Giraffe was so big!!

Giraffe didn't say a word all morning.
At recess, Mikey ran outside with his friends
to play soccer, leaving giraffe behind.
But Mr.bird reminded him that he was
giraffe's buddy.
"Hey giraffe wanna play?" asked Mikey."
"No, thanks," giraffe replied.
Mikey was so relieve.
