This story is about a creature that lived deep in the heart of a shadowy forest. They said it was large, with glowing red eyes, sharp claws, and fur as dark as the midnight sky. On nights when the moon was full, the beast would roam the forest, sending shivers down the spines of anyone who dared to venture too close. But was the beast truly as terrifying as everyone believed?

I’m going to prove
them wrong!
One curious girl named Lila didn’t think so. She had heard the stories but didn’t believe the monster was evil. She was determined to find the truth. One moonlit evening, when the sky was clear and the moon hung bright and full, Lila decided to enter the forest.
What was that?

As she walked deeper into the forest, her heart pounded. The trees seemed to stretch higher and higher, and the shadows felt like they were watching her. Suddenly, she heard a noise—something big moving in the bushes.

You’re not what I thought
you would be
Are you... lonely?
She took a deep breath and stepped forward, her feet crunching on the leaves. She followed the sound until she reached a small clearing—and there, in the moonlight, stood the creature. The Moonlit Beast was much bigger than anything Lila had ever seen. But instead of being scary, it had silver fur that shimmered in the light, and its eyes weren’t glowing red with anger. They were sad—almost like it needed help. The beast didn’t growl or roar. It just stared at the sky.

I don’t think you’re dangerous,
I think people are afraid because
they don’t understand you. You
don’t look mean, you just look... sad.
The beast didn’t answer, but it sat down in front of her, its huge body folding gently onto the forest floor. Lila watched the creature for a long time, feeling less scared and more curious. Maybe this creature wasn’t a monster after all.
