Entering the classroom of 10 grade students wasn't just walking into a room full of teenagers; it was like stepping into a vibrant collection of individual worlds, each with its interests, passion and perspectives. Observing these young individuals, I was amazed at how much a teacher truly influences these developing personalities.

We're not just imparting knowledge; we're also subtly shaping their perceptions, encouraging their interests, and providing a framework for their understanding of the world. Every interaction, every lesson, and even our own behavior, serves as a potential sample for them to imitate or adapt.

They (EFL & Literature teachers) are the elect that have the privilege to render the power and beauty of a word to the learners who are eager to absorb knowledge, respond to the personal appeals and experience a variety of feelings.

According to D. Kidd and E. Castano, reading fiction contributes to the development of emotional intelligence, since the process "uniquely engages the psychological processes needed to gain access to characters’ subjective experiences" (Kidd, & Castano, 2013, p. 377).

The teacher's primary role is to foster the student's holistic development, encompassing their intellectual, creative, emotional, and social dimensions, as well as their unique talents. To achieve this, the teacher adopts the stance of a guide rather than an omniscient lecturer.

A true educator transforms dry facts into captivating discoveries that ignite genuine interest. Through this unique reinterpretation of material, the teacher doesn't merely instruct but inspires students to embark on their own intellectual quests.

For instance, as a trainee teacher, I aimed to bring the material to life. I adapted it to the individual characteristics of the students, connecting it with their personal experiences and interests.

I actively implemented interactive learning tools – projects, discussions, games – which allowed students to actively engage with information and significantly boosted their motivation. According to Özen, motivation of students has important effects on their success (Özen, 2017).
