The first international meeting of the Erasmus+ project “Millennium: Modern Inclusion, Learning, & Leadership Ensuring New Notions In Universal Methodologies” took place at Bifa Ortaokulu School in Karaman, Turkey. Teachers and students from Turkey, Italy, Poland, the Czech Republic and Lithuania participated in the meeting. Ukmergė Užupis Basic School was represented by the school principal Miglė Kavaliauskė, the project coordinator, computer science teacher Virgilija Markevičienė, the English teacher Rusnė Valeikienė, and grade 7a students Austėja Lunytė and Arentas Auglys.

The event was opened by national dances, which greeted the guests with joy and respect.

Each team presented their school, their hometown and country, and demonstrated the activities their team was responsible for in the project.

The project activities were focused on technological creativity - participants engaged in practical workshops. One of the activities was working with Arduino microcontrollers. Through construction and programming, students and teachers gained practical knowledge and experience in creating interactive projects.

One of the creative activities was the production of nesting boxes from secondary raw materials, during which students from different countries worked in joint teams. This activity not only promoted ecological thinking, but also strengthened international friendship. Angels made from secondary raw materials symbolically “arrived” in Lithuania, carrying a message about friendship and cooperation. In a creative art lesson, students, using various methodologies, made flags of the countries participating in the project. Later, each team planted a symbolic “friendship tree” – a cedar – as a sign of togetherness and long-term cooperation. The planted trees were marked with the created flags, and the trees growing nearby were decorated with the created birdhouses.

One of the most memorable experiences was visiting a solar panel park and a factory that produces components for wind power. Participants learned about the importance of renewable energy and how everyone can contribute to preserving the Earth's resources.

At the end of the mobility, students and teachers created a colorful gallery of paintings using various artistic techniques. Particularly outstanding was the activity of painting on water - ebru - which is an ancient Turkish art form. With the help of this art, unique works are created, in which colors and shapes merge, conveying the spirit of harmony and creativity.
