One afternoon, 4 year old Prince Joshua came to his mom with a huge
problem. Even though he lived in a huge castle at the top of a hill, he had gone
through his entire room and could not find anything to play with. He was bored
and wanted his mom to help.

"Mom" he called from the top of the long winding staircase. "Where are you?"
"I'm in the living room Joshua." his mom responded.
"On my way" Joshua called back, climbing on top of the gold hand rail and sliding all the
way down to the floor below. After all it was the fastest way for a Prince to get down the
stairs.

"Mom" Joshua began looking very sad. "I have a problem."
"oh no. What is wrong with my sweet prince." his mom bent down and kissed her
son on the cheek.
"I don't have anything to do. I am bored." Joshua explained and collapsed in his
mother's arms.
"There. There. Sweet prince." His mom comforted him, trying her best not to crack
a smile. "I am sure there are tons of things to do in your room. What about a
game of basketball?" she suggested.

"Nope. I played basketball yesterday." Joshua shook his head.
"Soccer?" his mom replied, putting him down on the chair next to her.
"Nope." Joshua shook his head again.
"Toy train? " his mom tried again, this time shaking her head as well.
"Nope" he replied right back.
"Blocks? "
"Nope"
"Dinosaurs? Race cars, robots or mud pies?" she smiled, thinking one of those ideas
would make the young prince smile.
"Nope. Nope and Nope."

The queen was stumped. She didn't have any more ideas of things Prince Joshua
could play with. She could tell by the look on his sad little face that he was serious
about this problem and she wanted to help. She thought and thought until she
knew exactly what the young prince could do.
" I know!" The queen smiled. "You can take the train to the magic forest and play
with the Prince of the forest." she concluded matter of factly, causing Prince
Joshua to smile momentarily.

"But mom, where is the magic forest? How will I get there?" Prince Joshua asked, loosing his smile
once again.
"Oh Don't worry, Joshua, it's easy to get there. You just use your imagination."

For a moment, Prince Joshua felt better. His mom had given him a great idea for
something he could do. And the magic forest sounded amazing. The only thing is,
he had no idea what an imagination was nor how to use it. His smile, was once
again turned upside down.
"What's the matter Joshua? You seem sad again? I thought you were on your
way to the magic forest with the trees filled with blueberry muffins and
strawberry bees."

"I do want to go. I want to meet the Prince and have a wonderful time with him." Prince Joshua
paused. "Only, I don't know what an "imagitation" is or how to use it." he began to cry.
"oh my sweet boy. Don't cry. Your imagination is that magical place in your head that only you
can create. Let me show you." She wiped his tears and walked him into his room.

"An imagination is something magical and wonderful that each one of us has. We can
close our eyes and see things in our mind that other people can't always see." the Queen
began "We can go to wonderful places and meet amazing people when we use it. Now
look out the window, then close your eyes and tell me what you see in the magic forest."

Let's see..." The queen took a look around Prince Joshua's room. "ah hah! I see it" she
exclaimed pointing to his window.
"See what mom?" Prince Joshua got excited and climbed into his mother's lap.
"It's the entrance to your imagination and the magic forest of course. It has been here
all along. I just needed to show you where to find it."
Prince Joshua was still confused as to exactly how this "imagitation" thing worked again
but if his mom said he had one, it was definitely there.

Prince Joshua wanted to use his "imagitation" so bad, but all he saw were the fields
beyond the castle.
"I don't see anything but the fields momma." he strained closing one eye and then the
other.
"Look with your mind and not your eyes." she placed her hands over Joshua's eyes.
Joshua took a deep breath. "You can do it. Imagine the magic forest and tell me what
you see."

Prince Joshua closed his eyes as tight as he could. He thought of what the magic forest
would look like and finally his mind showed him what he thought. His imagination was
working. "I see the magic forest momma.I see it." Prince Joshua finally understood.
"You do? Tell me what do you see." his mom smiled.

"Right there in that mountain momma, see the trees with blueberry muffins growing from
their branches?" he turned and asked the Queen pointing to the ceiling in his room.
"I see them. Do you see the train with the pink car in the back? I bet it takes people all
around the magic forest" the Queen chimed in, reaching for the race car next to his bed.
" I see it momma. WOW! My "imagitation" does work. The trees even have googly eyes. "
Prince Joshua was very proud of his new discovery.

"I see the prince too momma." Prince Joshua grabbed his robot and held him up. "His
name is Luke. He also has a sister and a dog." he grabbed his other robot and stuffed
dinosaur.
"What are their names?" His mom smiled and watched him race around the room.
"Her name is Grace and the dog's name is Speedy because he is really really fast."
"Oh yeah. That is a great name for a fast dog."
"And guess what momma." "They wear their crowns crooked like me momma" he smiled,
disappearing into the closet.
