Prolouge

Prelude:  The world is full of fighting, as humans often fail to find peaceful solutions when someone else disturbs them.  However, what if there were a world where you didn't necessarily have to fight to win? What if in this world, instead of fighting, you could be kind to the enemy, and then the enemy would be kind back? If this happens, then there is no reason to fight. That peaceful world is the one where the characters in this story will visit. In a story, it may seem that the choices these characters make in their journey are important. However, remember, reader, their choices will not matter as there will be only one possible ending to this story. The choices they make will lead to only one end. This end was foreseen 30,000 years ago when the characters in this story had not even been born. This one ending has multiple meanings to it, and the only person who had foreseen this end was the phantom sorcerer. Yes, there are sorcerers in this story, reader, but also much more. These sorcerers and other magic-related organisms are the villains in this story, and it is up to the heroes of this story to defeat them with kind acts or violence.

           Chapter 1

Oh great, now I'm about to be late for school. I wish I could have woken up earlier. I'm standing here with my hair messed up and soaking wet because it's raining outside. As I felt the water touch my skin, I wished I had grabbed my umbrella. "Come on, Davis, stop standing there and get inside the car," Davis's mother says. Davis's mom, Tori, tells Davis, "If we go fast, we might be able to make it to school without being late." I got inside the car, but before I could put on my seat belt, my mom hit the pedal, and the car zoomed across the streets. When I looked outside the window, the buildings and people outside looked like a blur. When we reached school, my mom hurriedly said goodbye, and I bolted inside. I ran through the hallway, catching a few teachers' attention. They gave me a glare as the national anthem was playing. After it was done, I ran to my homeroom and reached my desk. As soon as I sat down, the bell rang. I made it just in time! My teacher, Mrs. Winston, announces to the class that there will be a group project we will have to do. Hearing this, next to me, Sam, my only friend, taps my elbow, signifying he hopes he and I will be partners.

Mrs. Winston read out loud all of the students' groups, and to my surprise, I was with Sam. As soon as Sam heard both of our names, he high-fived me. Then he said, "dude,  we're going to crush this thing together." However, since there was an odd number of students in the class, Mrs. Winston said that there had to be another person in our group.  So it could be a group of three. The person who did not have a group was Chloe, whom everyone was afraid of because she was tall and had a really bad temper. She is impertinent and believes everything should be dealt with by fighting.  Also, she is part Raxoid. On Earth, humans and these alien creatures, Raxoids, who know how to walk and talk, coexist together on earth. Raxoids have learned to adapt to the human world thousands of years ago. They are sort of like regular humans, except they look a lot different. Raxoids can have different skin colours and may look like monsters or animal-like monsters. Sam is an orange Raxoid with human attributes, but has claws and dark blue eyes. His hair is brown, and he has a comical personality. However, Chloe is a different Raxoid as she has both a human and Raxoid form.

She was a typical laconic and mean girl in her human form, but when she gets angry or annoyed, she transforms into her Raxoid form. In this form, her skin colour is purple and pink. Her eyes are red, and she has a tail, which she is ashamed of. Since Chloe is the only student left, Mrs.Winston made her join our group. Chloe walked toward us with a nonchalant expression on her face. Judging by the expression, she doesn't care about this group project. When she came forward, she quietly said to both of us, "Both of you are going to do the project, not me".  Sam then looked at me with a bruh I don't care if she works or not expression. Then suddenly Mrs.Winston asks me, Sam, and Chloe to grab some worksheets from the printer in the storage room.  While all three of us are walking to the storage closet, Chloe begins to threaten us. However, Sam doesn't listen to her, and she begins to get more annoyed. When all of us reach the storage room, Sam and I carry the worksheets. Chloe is too annoyed and lazy to carry any.  Inside the storage room, she finally rages and turns into her Raxoid form. She threatened to hurt us if we didn't respond to her. Before both of us could reply, the room turned dark, and a glowing purple portal opened. 

When I finally opened my eyes, I couldn't believe what I saw. We were falling to the ground.  As all of us felt the wind flow through of hair and blow it back. We were falling at high speeds from such a huge height, so we had to find some way to break our fall.  Sam and I located a huge trampoline on the floor, so we adjusted our falling direction and safely landed on the trampoline. Chloe landed after us, scowling about how her day had already started badly.  Sam laughed and said," That was awesome, even though we could have almost died".  I began looking around and blurted out the question all of us were thinking about," Is this real?". Sam followed up by saying, "This should be a dream or something, right?" When I looked to my right, Chloe looked up in the sky, trying to find the portal that brought us here. It disappeared from the sky, though, and now we were stuck in this green sylvan landscape filled with herbs and bushes everywhere. We decided to follow a path that might lead to a way out of this mysterious place. Chloe tried to trip Sam while we were walking, but Sam moved to the side. Susise then says," You guys are too slow" and runs off. Sam then shouts," We're better off without you anyway". 

 Shortly after Chloe ran off me and Sam saw two paths in front of us, one of which was filled with spikes, and the other had lamps on both sides of the narrow, long path. Using common sense, we chose the one filled with lamps. As soon as we stepped foot on the second path, the lamps glowed brightly, and one of them shot a fireball. Sam noticed it first and yelled, "Duck!" I barely managed to dodge in time, but then more fireballs appeared from the other lamps. Sam and I ran through the path, dodging each fireball directed toward us.  When we finally made it to the end of the path, both of us were able to catch our breath. I told Sam that I think," I have a feeling the fireballs were just the start of it." Sam replied with," In that case, we need to get out of here fast." At the end of the path, we found a hill which both Sam and I slid down. Chloe was at the end of the hill, staring at a big door that was made out of gold. It was super shiny and probably was worth a fortune.  I saw both Chloe's and Sam's eyes light up.  However, a mysterious hooded figure walked through the door. All of our attention then changed from the golden door to the mysterious hooded figure.  Suddenly, the hooded figure spoke up," You must be the lightners." 

             Chapter 2 

The hooded figure grabbed his hood off, and it turned out that the person under the cloak was a Raxoid with fluffy green fur. His eyes were orange, and he had peculiar boots which were very dusty.  He was a fluffy green Raxoid, which there are very few of in the world.  He also has a red scarf along with a pouch around his waist. He wore green pants and a fluffy white sweater.  The fluffy Raxoid then said," Hi, lightners, my name is Kadin." Before he could continue, I blurted out the question," Where are we?" "You're in the Enchanted Realm, where you're supposed to be." Chloe then shouted out, "Are you insane? We are not supposed to be in the weird Realm; we're supposed to be at schoolworking on some stupid project." "A school project, huh? Well, that will have to wait because we're going to save the world according to this prophecy." All of us then looked at him in confusion and asked him," What prophecy?"  Oh yeah, you don't know the prophecy well, I'll explain it to you guys. The fluffy Raxoid began explaining, "The prophecy states that four people: a brave human, a monster, a kind fluffy raxoid, and an orange raxoid will all meet in the Enchanted Realm. All of them will traverse through the Enchanted lands, conquering the evils that may come and finally seal the Enchanted fountain."

 Sam then spoke up," Okay, fluffy dude or whatever your name is, we're not going to follow your made-up prophecy because we just want to get home." Kadin then began speaking up, "Correction number one, my name is Kadin, and correction number 2, if you don't follow the prophecy, then you won't be able to go home. Oh, and also correction number three, I'm stuck in this weird place, which in my opinion is hell for approximately 13 years, so I think that for me and everyone else here who is also living in this hell, all of us have to seal this place." Then I confusedly asked," Seal, meaning what?" "Removing this terrible place from existence is what I mean by seal," said Kadin. So please, you three, get to help me escape from this hell." Hearing this, Sam and I begrudingly said yes. Meanwhile, Chloe called both of us insane and abruptly said no to the offer. Suddenly, out of the bushes, a bunny rabbit appeared, but it looked very different compared to a regular bunny. It looked as if it were mad with red eyes and a raging fire on its tail. Sam and looked at it in shock. Kadin then spoke up," Oh, it's time for our first battle, I guess." Kadin began explaining how these battles work. You could either fight, defend, use an item, or act on your turn.

To fight, you have to hit the opponent with magic or use a weapon to deal damage to them. If you defend, you hold your fort with magic or your weapons, which helps minimize the opponent's next attack damage. Using items, meaning, consuming drinks or items that help regain health. Eating or drinking items can also restore health to the rest of the party's users. Acting tells people at your party or yourself to talk to the opponent or do something nice for them. If they are nice back and don't attack, you can appreciate them. Acting can also improve your damage or defence stats. It can help you win the battle without fighting. Kadin gave us all weapons. I got a wooden sword, and Sam got a basic bow. Chloe also got a wooden axe to deal damage with. I then asked Kadin," What will you be dealing damage with?" Kadin replied, saying," I don't use weapons, I use magic to attack." Then our first turn began, so all of us decided to act except Chloe, who didn't listen to us and attacked. All of us, except Chloe, acted by telling the bunny that he looked good. The bunny's red eyes slowly began to disappear after hearing this, but when Chloe attacked it and dealt a decent amount of damage, it began attacking us.  We had to dodge its first attack, which was burning carrots thrown directly at us.

Kadin then asked all of us to defend while he used magic. He then used a spell to put the opponent to sleep. That spell was called pacify, and it is a magic ability that only he has, so only he can use this ability. Kadin explained this all to us, and soon after, he explained to everyone that to get out of the enchanted realm, a special crystal needed to be broken. This crystal is in the hand of the wicked and sinful king who rules the Enchanted realm. So to seal and escape this place, or what Kadin calls it, to seal the dark fountain of the Enchanted Realm, we need to find the crystal. This crystal is probably in the kings mist castle right now. To find the king, all of us have to go to the mist castle. All of us agreed with this plan of going to the mist castle except Chloe, who called the plan a waste of time. Kadin told Chloe that it's the only way out of this place. Hearing this, Chloe reluctantly agreed but told Kadin that she didn't get the point of acting. Kadin told her all about acting again, so Chloe understood how to act as well. As we turned around, three switches were on the floor. Kadin told us that Sam, I, and Chloe should stand on the three switches respectively.  

Then he opened a switch on the wall, opening a door. Before going inside, he told us all that there would be puzzles like this throughout our way to the mist castle, so we should always be ready for a quick brain teaser. We walked through the path in front of us, and soon enough, we encountered another puzzle. This time, there was a riddle on the wall: what is enchanted, dangerous, and green at the same time? All of us were confused after reading the riddle, but after a few moments of thinking, Kadin had a spark in his eyes. He went to the board on the wall to write the answer, and wrote the Enchanted Forest. A few seconds after he finished writing it, the door on the wall opened. Kadin told us that once we enter, we will have to walk through the Enchanted Forest, which is full of magical beasts we have to fight and also deadly carnivorous plants. So we all had to huddle up.  Once we entered the forest, Sam and I began talking. Sam  asked Kadin," How exactly is life in the Enchanted Realm?" Kadin then responded by talking about how terrible it is to live in the Enchanted Realm. The King only allows you to live in a small hut and takes taxes from you every month. The rules are so tight. One of the rules is to never have more than 9000 dollars in your pocket. If you have more than that, you have to give all the extra money to the king.
