My family Introduction

    My family contains me, my mom, Jessica, my dad, Daniel, my little sister, Caroline, and my older brother, Thomas. We also have three pets, our dog Coco, our cat Muffin, and my cat Stella.

           What is a family?

A family is a group of people that may live together or not, they share different responsibilities with each other and love each other. Families don't just need to be related by blood they can be related by marriage, law, or just love and care. Most families share special memories, spend time with each other and always help each other if needed.

Family types 

My family is included in three family types. The first family type we are is a nuclear family, because my mom and dad are still married and they have their biological children. The second family type is extended because I have many aunts and uncles, I also have cousins and grandparents. The last family type i'm is a multi-generational  household because one of my grandma lives with us in our house. 

          Family life cycle stage

The life cycle stage that my family is in right is the family with teenagers. My family is at that stage because my oldest brother is 16 years old and he's still living at home with us. 

                Family function 

A family function that my family does is provide basic needs. My parents make sure that we always have clothes, food, a cozy home, fresh water, and hygiene products. 

              Family functions 

Another family function that my family does is provide love and affection. We show love to each other by saying I love you and showing up to any sport events that we have. We also spend lots of quality time with each other when we are able to.

My family also provides economic support. both of my parents have jobs and go to work during the day to provide money to our family. My mom is a teacher and my dad owns his own business.

Education is another family function that my family values. Me and my siblings all go to school. My parents also went to school and college to get a degree.

Another family function that my family does is adaptation. My family shows adaptation by adjusting to anything that inconveniences us. A few years ago my outside shop caught on fire and we had to rebuild the whole thing, pay back anything that was lost, and give my grandma another place to live because she was living there.
