Once upon a time, in a town brimming with technology, lived a curious 14-year-old girl, Şeyma. She excelled in her studies, loved hanging out with friends, and was especially passionate about the internet. In their home, they had a brand-new, state-of-the-art laptop. In Şeyma's world, this computer was a gateway to an endless sea of knowledge.

Every day, as soon as Şeyma got home from school, she'd turn on her computer, do her homework, and then spend time on social media. At first, everything was fine: talking to her classmates, watching funny videos, and learning new things.

But over time, without even realizing it, he began spending hours in front of a screen.
"Let me watch a video," he'd say... then another, and another, and it was midnight.

One day, her mother asked, “Şeyma, your eyes have been red lately, and your grades have been falling. What’s going on with you?”
Embarrassed, Şeyma said, “I’m just spending a little too much time online, Mom.”
But in reality, she had unknowingly lost her time management, sleep patterns, and motivation for studying.

One evening, Şeyma received a message on social media from an unknown account. The message read, "I go to the same school as you, I'd like to talk to you." Şeyma became curious. The profile photo looked normal, but this person wasn't from the school.
Şeyma wasn't initially suspicious, as the person sounded quite friendly.
But after a while, the person started asking Şeyma personal information: "Where is your home address?" and "What's the full name of your school?"

Şeyma was a little nervous at first, but then she shared some information without thinking.
The next day at school, her IT teacher gave a presentation on internet security. When the teacher said, "Never share your personal information online. They could steal your identity and deceive you,"

Şeyma's heart began to race.
As soon as she got home that evening, she deleted the messages she'd exchanged with that person and made her account private.
That day, Şeyma learned that privacy and security are the most important rules of the internet.

One of Şeyma's classmates, Büşra, had created a humorous social media page. However, Büşra would sometimes make mocking posts and use other people's photos without permission.
One day, Büşra took a photo of Şeyma and shared it with funny captions.
Şeyma was very upset. Everyone in the class started making fun of the photo.

Şeyma went to her teacher and explained the situation.
The IT teacher gave a serious speech to the class:
“Every post made online leaves a mark. Humiliating others is cyberbullying, and it's much more than a joke.”
Since that day, Büşra apologized. Şeyma forgave her.
They both realized the importance of being respectful and empathetic internet users.

As Şeyma grew older, her research assignments became more challenging. She encountered a lot of information while searching the internet, but was it all accurate?
One day, she looked for information on a website for her history assignment, but her teacher said, "This source is unreliable; it contains misinformation."
That's when Şeyma realized that not all information is accurate.
Now, she carefully examined websites, checked the reliability of sources, and turned to official websites and academic articles.
This is how she developed critical thinking skills.

One weekend, Şeyma's family suggested going on a picnic.
Şeyma initially said, "But I was going to play games with my friends online!"
Her father smiled and said, "Your real friends are waiting for you here."
Şeyma reluctantly went, but that day she listened to the birdsong in the forest, skipped stones on the lake, and laughed with her family.
As she returned home that evening, she thought to herself, "The internet is wonderful, but real life is even better."
She was now limiting her screen time and making time for offline activities.

Şeyma grew up and became a high school student. She had founded a "Digital Citizenship" club at school.
The club's goal was to instill in students a responsible, safe, respectful, and productive online culture.
They were learning to be producers, not just consumers, of the digital world.
They shot informative videos, organized social media campaigns, and created posters.
One day, Şeyma posted the following message on the school bulletin board:
"A true digital citizen leaves a mark on the internet, but leaves no harm."

Years later, Şeyma won a university degree in information technologies.
Now, she was using the internet not just for entertainment, but to learn, teach, and benefit society.
One day, when she visited her high school teacher, he said:
“You explored the dark corners of the digital world, but you managed to find the light. Now you are a guide for others.”

Stoica Gilda-Maria - Liceul Teoretic , Jean Louis Calderon''
Şeyma smiled.
“Using the internet correctly actually begins with knowing yourself,” she said.
And so, Şeyma’s story inspired not just one girl’s journey into the digital world, but a whole generation’s journey into the conscious world.

The lessons we can learn from this story are as follows;
1) Balance the time you spend online.
2) Never share personal information.
3)Don't believe everything you see; check sources.
4) Be respectful of others and avoid cyberbullying.
5) Strive for balance between the real and digital worlds.
6) Use the internet not only to consume, but also to create.
