Trust vs mistrust
Linda was born in a small town near the coast of Belize. She was the first daughter and her mother was a young single mother. Linda depended on her mother to tend to her needs, however, Linda's mother did not have the support or the resources to provide for Linda. Linda spent long periods of time without food or a change of dipper. Linda's mother was not able to provide a nurturing environment for her baby. Linda was an unsecured baby that rarely smiled to others.
Autonomy vs Shame and Doubt
Linda's grandfather welcomed her and her mother into his home near the beach. Linda's mom helped in her father's business and was able to take care of Linda. Linda's grandfather thought her how to swim at the early age of three. Linda loved spending time by the shore collecting sea shells and fishing with her grandpa.
Initiative vs Guilt
Linda spent most of her days walking around the beach with her grandpa. She made some friends around the small town. Linda was shy but loved watching other children play. Her grandpa became her safe space.

Industry vs Inferiority
She turned six years old and it was time to go to school. Linda had a hard time separating from her mom and her grandfather. However she met new friends and got interested in learning new things. She soon found out that she loved doing math.
School became her favorite place. At school she played games, sang songs, read books, socialized with other students and met other children in similar situations as hers.
Identity vs. Role Confusion
When Linda was a teenager, she loved going to the beach to swim with her friends. Her mother and her grandfather did not like the idea of her spending too much time with friends instead of studying for school. Linda became rebellious and she started to hang out with teenagers that liked to get in trouble. Until, she saw one of her friends passed out and she realized her family was right.

At sixteen Linda felt attracted towards a boy in her town. They started talking without her family knowing. She felt happy and began experiencing new emotions. She would find her self daydreaming and couldn't stop thinking about him.
