May every child find a place where they are accepted, not just tolerated.

Szkoła Podstawowa im. Janusza Korczaka w Bysławiu/Poland
The sun had just risen over Maple Grove when a new student arrived at the school gates. Her name was Lila, and she carried a painted backpack covered in patterns no one had ever seen before. Some students whispered curiously, others stared a bit too long, but Lila simply smiled and walked toward the entrance. She hoped that this place would be different from her last school—a place where people might try to understand her instead of judging her by what made her unique.
Inside the hallway, a small group of students gathered around her, unsure of what to say. Then Tom, known for his calm nature, stepped forward.

“You’re new here,” he said gently. Then suddenly a voice from behind called out, interrupting the moment. Everyone turned, not yet knowing that this was only the beginning of an unexpected adventure ...

Just then, the bell rang, and everyone around Lila headed toward class. As they entered, their teacher, Miss Clara, couldn't take her eyes off the bag behind Lila.

It looked like a small rainbow sitting on Lila's chair, and Miss Clara smiled.
"Lila", she said warmly, "your backpack is wonderful! It makes our classroom look happier already!"
At that moment, a tiny tap-tap sound came from inside it. "Oh my! Is your backpack trying to say hello to us?" Miss Clara joked.
"It ... sometimes makes noises", Lila said.
"That's right", Miss Clara replied with a big smile."Every one of us brings something special to this class. Maybe your backpack is special too!"

The students leaned closer ... Whatever was inside that backpack, they knew it wasn't scary - just unusual! And maybe even fun.
No one had any idea that the day was about to get even more surprising ...

Lila was trying to open her textbook when the scratch-scratch turned into a little POP!
Out of the backpack jumped the fluffiest thing ever: a hamster plush toy! It was wearing a tiny scarf, matching Lila's bag. It sat there, totally still, looking normal. "Oh, I'm so sorry!" Lila whispered, turning red as she tried to hide it.
John, the class clown, giggled: "Is that your baby toy?"
Lila looked down, feeling really sad and uncomfortable. The hamster stayed completely still.
Then, Tom spoke up. "It’s a cool toy, Lila. Don't let John bother you." Miss Clara nodded. "Be kind, John."

Lila was relieved by their support, and a big, happy smile spread across her face.
And that's when the magic happened!
The little plush hamster suddenly wiggled its nose and its eyes popped open! It blinked and made a tiny SQUEAK of pure joy.
The hamster was ALIVE! It jumped onto the desk, full of wonder and happiness.
We all gasped. This was only the beginning!

Everyone wanted to touch the hamster but she was very scared and started to run around the classroom. Some children laughed, some shouted but only Lila sat still.
Miss Clara was calm and asked all the children to go back to their tables. When the children were sitting on their chairs, Lila called out: " Pippi, come here!"

The hamster quickly but very carefully ran to Lila’s hands. When the girl held Pippi, she started to glow like a rainbow — the same colours as her school bag. Everyone in the class was shocked and started to whisper. Then Pippi ran to Miss Clara, who started to change into pink. Tom was orange, Jenny blue, Max green, Mary yellow, but only John was grey.

The classroom fell silent as everyone stared at John, who now stood completely grey—like all his colours had quietly slipped away. John swallowed hard and looked at the floor. For the first time that day, he didn’t feel like laughing or teasing.
Pippi, still shining softly in Lila’s hands, turned her tiny head toward him.

Then, with a gentle whoosh, she leapt down and scampered across the desks until she reached John.
She touched his hand with her little glowing paw.
Suddenly, a warm light wrapped around him.
Grey shifted into soft blue… then hopeful green… then bright yellow.
John gasped.
“I… I didn’t know I had colours too,” he whispered.

The classroom was quiet. John’s colours slowly returned. Pippi’s rainbow light made the room warm and calm. The children were not scared anymore.
John looked different now and the class felt closer to him. Pippi sat in Lila’s hands, glowing softly. The other children stood around them.
They all understood that everyone has special colours inside.
Lila felt happy. This school finally felt like a good place for her.

And then Pippi’s light began to change again, soft and bright, as if something new was about to happen…

Pippi's glow filled the room once more, sending tiny rainbow sparks drifting through the air.She hoped to the door
and traced a bright arrow on the floor.
Above the doorway ,glowing letters appeared:
"Discover Your True Colours."

Miss Clara smiled.
" It seems Pippi wants to show us something."
The class gathered behind Lila.
Pippi squeaked, her colours shining brighter than ever.
And together, they stepped toward whatever adventure waited next.

Maybe he needs Pippi and Lila to find his true colors again. Who knows?

Pippi’s sparkling lights swirled around the classroom, forming a shimmering rainbow path that curved toward the old storage room no one ever used. As the children followed, the door creaked open on its own, revealing a hidden staircase leading downward—glowing with the same colours as Pippi’s fur.

Lila stepped onto the glowing rainbow path, Pippi snug in her arms. The colors swirled around the old storage room, lighting every corner. One by one, the children followed, hearts racing.
At the end, the lights formed a pulsing circle. Pippi leapt into the center, glowing brighter than ever. A soft hum filled the air, and a whisper drifted through the room:

“To discover what lies within, you must step forward together…”
Hand in hand, they moved into the circle, unsure what awaited them, but ready for the adventure ahead.

The moment they stepped into the circle, the lights gently rose, and the room arround them slowlybegan to changed. The old, dusty storage room was no longer there. Instead, a wide space appeared, its walls covered with moving colours. The colours flowed in waves, and a different shade glowed beneath each child’s step.
Pippi jumped into the air and let out another little squeak!. This time, the lights began to swirl around the children. Each of them saw their own reflection, as if looking into an invisible mirror. But in this mirror, it wasn’t just their faces they saw — it was the feelings hidden inside them.

The students realised that their unique behaviours make the world more colourful.
"Children, each of you is good at something else. You are like puzzle pieces. Only together you can make beautiful things!" said Miss Clara.

John saw his reflection in the mirror and wasn't satisfied. He wanted to change, to be kind and sympathetic to his colleagues. He realized that together we could do more. By collaborating, we could create beautiful things and new adventures.

John wanted to run away quickly, but accidentally bumped into a bookcase...
An old, dusty, damaged book fell to the floor, hitting Pippi.
Pippi disappeared...
The book fell open and the children read the sentence:
"Good deeds can help a friend return".
