9 year old Milly started to get ready to head to Sunset Square to see her friends. Her favorite spot in all of town. She had gone their since she could remember and was so excited to walk around. She never expected this day to be one of the worst of her life.

I wonder what to wear?

After finding the perfect outfit Milly rode her bike to Sunset Square to meet up with her friends Kyle, Cindy and Luis. Milly wanted to go to Gabby's Sweet Shop first.  All she could think about was the candy she would eat. Then she heard something that shook her to her core.

Gabby, the store owner approached Milly and her friends. Her eyes looked tired and sad. Milly knew bad news was on its way. Gabby broke the news to Milly and her friends she could no longer afford her sweet shop. It would soon be bought and turned into a fast food restaurant.

I can't believe this!!

Milly and her friends went to their next favorite spot. A classic spot everyone who lives in Sunset Square loves, Bumblebee Books. It is where Milly's mom would take her to get a new book when she was first learning to read.

Milly froze. Tear down the square? The places that make Sunset Square her home were being destroyed right before her eyes. She could not believe someone would be capable of  doing this. They walked home feeling down and depressed.

This makes no sense!

The group of friends were walking out of the square in defeat when they heard a familiar voice on a phone call that changed everything.Victoria Clearwater, a developer that used to live in Sunset Square came back  from her company in the city to tear down Sunset Square.

I will have those old shops thrown out of this town. I am sure people would much prefer a McDonnies or a BurgerQueen anyway

The woman behind all the small businesses closing walked by completely unaware that she just walked by the four kids in Sunset Square who cared the most. Little did she know that these four friends would not stand for this. 

We need to come up with a plan to stop this! 

Lets go to my house and plan!

The four friends needed to come up with something fast. Before another one of Sunset Square's businesses shut down. What could they possibly do? The friends worked for hours, determined to protect the place they loved most. Finally, an idea hit Milly. An idea that would save Sunset Square.

Ideas people! We need Ideas!!

I have it!! We can protest against the new construction!!

The next day, Milly ran to the middle of Sunset Square as fast as she could. Kyle, Cindy, and Luis were right behind her. Milly wanted to get as many people as she could to join her and her friends. They handed out flyers at school, talked to neighbors, and visited shop owners. Soon, the whole town was buzzing.  

We need these businesses!!

They want to destroy Station Square!!
