Hello everyone!

Our eTwinning project is about Waste Management and Recycling.

Our planet needs help! Every day tons of plastic, paper, glass and metal go to trash..but most of them can have a new life!  We decided to create awareness.  and green environment!We started our project by designing posters and a cool logo!

Through the WasteWise – Think Twice project, we increased our awareness of waste management and sustainable practices while creating interactive educational games. We improved our English communication skills by working collaboratively and expressing ideas in an international context. At the same time, we developed digital skills such as basic coding, game design, and problem-solving. The project also offered valuable intercultural experiences, strengthening teamwork, creativity, and critical thinking.

During the  project, we designed logos, posters, avatars, and educational materials, and we created Kahoot games and interactive activities. We actively participated in online meetings and won first place in a Kahoot competition. We also created a project board at school and proposed a documentary-style material focused on environmental issues. Together, we identified local environmental problems, suggested practical solutions, planted trees, and tested our subject-related knowledge, strengthening our environmental awareness, teamwork, and digital skills.

During the implementation of this project, we gained extensive knowledge about waste management and recycling. In addition, we had the opportunity to meet and collaborate with students from other countries, where we participated in various games and quizzes. These activities helped us develop our teamwork and communication skills, increase cultural awareness, and better understand the importance of environmental protection. Overall, this project contributed significantly to our personal development and encouraged us to take responsibility for a cleaner and more sustainable future.

Our eTwinning project is about waste management and recycling. We learned that recycling is very important for our planet. Every day, people throw away a lot of waste, but we can reuse many things. Our aim was to protect nature and create environmental awareness.

During the project, we did many fun activities with our partner schools. We designed posters, played games and learned how to recycle correctly. We enjoyed working together and sharing our ideas. This project helped us become more careful about the environment.

Our students had a great time in our eTwinning project. We worked with our partners and joined different activities about recycling and nature. Students learned how to reduce waste and protect the environment.

We also celebrated special days and created common products together. While having fun, students improved their teamwork and digital skills. At the end of the project, we felt proud of our work and our e-magazine.

Thinking twice before discarding waste is crucial. Every piece of waste we throw away leaves a trace on nature. Waste thrown away without being separated makes recycling more difficult and increases environmental pollution. Putting waste in the correct recycling bins, however, allows us to fulfill our responsibility towards nature. 

Furthermore, considering whether one really needs this reduces unnecessary consumption and helps create less waste.

In conclusion, recycling protects both the present and the future. Being mindful when disposing of waste is one of the simplest yet most effective steps towards a clean environment and a healthy future.

For the sake of your future, you should 
think twice before throwing away waste.

    Our students had a lot of fun in our project. We carried out enjoyable activities together with our partner schools. While having fun, the students increased their awareness of environmental issues and waste management.

    We carried out many fun and collabrative activities in our project. We planted tree on National Tree Day, played kahoot game simultaneously with our partner school, prepared a calender, wrote an acrostic, created a digital game and played it, and enriched our learning through these and similar enjoyable activities.

In our e-Twinning project, we established a permanent framework related to waste management and carried out many activities. Among these, the most meaningful for us was the tree planting activity, because we believe in contributing to the revitalization of nature rather than destroying it.

Melis:From my view it developed my Teamwork skills a lot and raised my awareness about waste management

Eslem:The Wastewise Think Twice project helped me understand the importance of reducing waste. It made me feel more responsible and hopeful for a sustainable future.

Enes:This project instilled in me a sense of responsibility. It also helped me learn about waste management.

Melike:Thanks to this project,I gained knowledge about waste management and also experienced taking responsibility and working efficiently within a team.

As Hacı Şöhret Demiröz High School of Science We are on the verge completing our project 'wastewise think twice' with this collaboratively prepared e-book.It was fun and fruitful period for us.The best part was learning teamwork and waste management.We improved our digital and language skills also.To raise awareness we have conducted a survey in our school and we asked some questions about their consumption habits.You can see the results on the pie charts.
