《堂吉訶德：做夢的騎士》

這個改編的繪本故事保留了原著的幽默感與荒謬性，但將核心主題轉向探討：勇氣、夢想、觀點與角度（「堅持夢想」與「現實與理想的差距」）。

從前，在西班牙的一個村莊裏，住著一位名叫阿隆索的老先生。 他平日不是在吃飯，就是在看書。如果他還不睡覺，那他一定仍在看書。 他讀的不是普通的書，而是關於騎士、惡龍與魔法的冒險故事。 讀著讀著，他開始分不清白天與黑夜；讀著讀著，他漸漸相信書裏所講的一切都是真的。

Once upon a time in Spain, there lived an old man named Alonso. He was either eating or reading. If he wasn't sleeping, he was definitely reading. He didn't read normal books. He read adventure stories about knights, dragons, and magic. He read so much that he forgot the difference between day and night. He read so much that he believed everything in the books was true.

「這個世界太混亂了，需要英雄！」 他翻出曾祖父留下的生鏽盔甲，戴上破舊的頭盔。 他將那匹瘦弱的老馬命名為「羅西南多」，將自己改名為「堂吉訶德」。 就在今天，他決定不再當個無聊的老頭，他要成為一名除暴安良的遊俠騎士！

"The world is too messy. It needs a hero!" He found his great-grandfather's rusty  armor and put on a helmet made of cardboard. He named his skinny old horse "Rocinante" and changed his own name to "Don Quixote." Today, he decided he would no longer be a boring old man. He would become a Knight-errant (a wandering knight) who fights for justice!

英雄可不能沒有隨從， 於是堂吉訶德找來了鄰居桑丘——一個老實、貪吃，還有點胖嘟嘟的農夫。 「桑丘，跟著我去冒險吧！等我打敗了巨人，就送你一座海島，讓你當國王！」 桑丘抓了抓頭，心想：「雖然聽起來怪怪的，但當國王好像還不錯。」 於是他們一瘦一胖，一馬一驢，就此踏上了征途。

A hero cannot be without a follower. Don Quixote found his neighbor, Sancho Panza—an honest, chubby farmer who loved to eat. "Sancho, come on an adventure with me! After I defeat the giants, I will give you an island to be its King!" Sancho scratched his head and thought, "That sounds weird, but being a King sounds nice." So, one thin man and one fat man, one horse and one donkey, began their journey.

他們來到了平原，風呼呼地吹著。 堂吉訶德突然拉住韁繩，大喊：「桑丘，你看！那就是邪惡的巨人集團！他們揮舞著巨大的手臂，正等著我去消滅他們！」 桑丘揉揉眼睛，說：「老爺，那裏沒有巨人啊！那只是幾座風車，正在轉動的是扇葉吧！」

They came to a wide, windy plain. Don Quixote suddenly stopped his horse and shouted, "Sancho! Look! That is an army of evil giants! They are waving their huge arms, waiting for me to destroy them!" Sancho squinted his eyes in confusion. "Master, there are no giants there. Those are just windmills. The things moving are just the fan blades."

「那是魔法！那是偽裝！」 堂吉訶德聽不進勸告，他夾緊馬肚，大喝一聲： 「受死吧！邪惡的巨人，正義的騎士來了！」 瘦弱的老馬羅西南多雖然害怕，但還是跟著主人衝了出去。

"That is magic! That is a disguise!" Don Quixote didn't listen. He kicked his horse and shouted: "Prepare to die! Evil giants, the knight of justice is here!" Although the skinny horse, Rocinante, was scared, he ran forward with his master.

「呯......噹......」 風車不會疼，但騎士會。 旋轉的扇葉勾住了長矛，將堂吉訶德像布娃娃一樣甩上半空，然後他重重地摔在地上。 塵土飛揚，這場「大戰」不到一分鐘便結束了。

CLANG! Windmills don't feel pain, but knights do. The spinning blade caught the long spear. It tossed Don Quixote into the air like a ragdoll, and he fell heavily to the ground. Dust filled the air. This "Great Battle" was over in less than a minute.

「老爺！我就說是風車吧！」桑丘著急地喊。 堂吉訶德忍著痛，爬起來說： 「桑丘，你太天真了。這是邪惡魔法師的詭計！他在最後一刻把巨人變成了風車，就是為了搶走我的勝利！」 桑丘嘆了一口氣，遞給堂吉訶德一塊麪包：「好吧，先把肚子填飽再說吧，我們未來的海島國王。」

這是邪惡魔法師的詭計！

"Master! I told you they were windmills!" Sancho shouted worriedly. Don Quixote stood up in pain but said firmly: "Sancho, you are too naive. This is the trick of an evil sorcerer! He turned the giants into windmills at the last second just to steal my victory!" Sancho sighed and handed him a piece of bread. "Alright, fill your stomach first, future Island King."

 This is the trick of an evil sorcerer! 

他們繼續流浪。 有人笑堂吉訶德是瘋子，有人說他是傻瓜。 堂吉訶德把羊群看成軍隊，把客棧看成城堡，把洗臉盆當成黃金頭盔。 他一次次跌倒，又一次次爬起來。

They continued to wander. Some people laughed and called him a madman. Some called him a fool. Don Quixote saw a flock of sheep as an army. He saw inns as castles. He even treated a barber's washbasin as a golden helmet. He fell down again and again, but he stood up again and again.

很久以後，老騎士累了，他回到了家鄉。 這一次，他真的醒了。他不再是堂吉訶德，他是好人阿隆索。 「桑丘，原諒我！這裏沒有海島，也沒有魔法。」他輕聲說。 桑丘卻哭著說：「不，老爺！別醒過來，我們還要騎馬去冒險，去打敗真正的壞蛋啊！」

A long time later, the old knight was tired and returned to his hometown. This time, he really woke up. He was no longer Don Quixote; he was the kind Alonso. "Sancho, forgive me. There is no island, and there is no magic," he said softly. But Sancho cried, "No, Master! Don't wake up! Let's ride our horses and go on an adventure! Let's go fight the real bad guys!"
