INTRODUCTION
Back at Westford College, it had been 10 months since the last adventure. Brielle was studying a new case in the college. They had brought back both the Crown Jewel and the Crown Sapphire to the old college. But one important piece to the collection was missing... The Crown Ruby. This gem specifically had fascinated Brielle, after all it was the one they lacked. Just a month previous, Wilson and Marcus returned from their missions. After prepping for her journey, she called up the entire crew, Wilson, Marcus, Olive, Matias, Riley, Bowen, Alayna, Zofia, Lenae, Eldon, Clay, and Taysom.

it was a brisk and beautiful morning. we had headed to the airport, and Brielle had yet another adventure for us, down in Egypt. I had always wanted to visit there, it would definitely be a fun experience! anyways, as soon as we got there, almost like clockwork, Eldon was late. After a while of waiting to board our Boeing 737 Eldon finally showed up. "Hey Guys!" He said. "i'm right on time!""Nice try". Brielle
said. "Next time I won't hesitate to leave, you geezer."" Well sheesh". Eldon said back. "And who are you calling a geezer?" Brielle and Eldon weren't exactly the dream team or anything like that, but I always wonder why after all this Brielle is still so harsh with him. after boarding, we took off immediately. we were on a time crunch with a 35-hour flight ahead of us. "Delta Juliet indigo, this is Charlie beta foxtrot Romeo preparing for take off."
brielle said. "Ok guys". Brielle said on the intercom. "we're stopping for fuel in Dallas, Texas. Eta 5 hours." Eldon sat next to me, as usual, and about an hour after our flight he fell asleep with his airplane pillow on. He was leaning and snoring right up against me, and it was getting pretty uncomfortable, so I scooted to the left. as I expected, he plopped right over, and immediately woke up. "Huh...Hah!". He said. "Oh...Uh sorry about that He he..." Long flights were
such a special part of these adventures. There's just something about being on a private plane with your best friends and acquaintances other than a regular flight. at about 9:30pm, Brielle got out of the captain's seat and headed towards me. "we've got a long flight ahead of us." She said. "This adventure was something I always knew would come... After all, It's the jewel my brother went missing trying to find." "Do you ever wonder what happened to
him?" I asked. "I have no idea. I haven't heard from him in 5 years." Brielle then continued "I wanted to think that he's still out there, looking for it." After a long conversation, i Decided to hit the hay.

That morning, we woke up and were not even an hour away from Giza, Egypt. After just a short 15 minutes, we landed, and in perhaps one of the hottest locations we ever visited. "I just can't wait to climb up one of the pyramids!" Eldon said. " you know it's illegal, right?" Brielle replied. After heading out the airport, we immediately rented some camels for transportation. Right away, Eldon was back to his shenanigans. all of a sudden he started teaching his "anti-cramp routine" to the local camels. "Eldon..." Brielle said. "What are you doing!!""I've got to outsource my anti-cramp routine to the local livestock. I'm sure they've got stiff
backs with all the riding and stuff." Out of nowhere, The camel's eyes faced Eldon and spat right at him! "Gross! Yuck! Phh... disgusting! I'm not riding this thing! "Well, thats too bad" Brielle said, "and after all you were totally asking for it if you ask me." After climbing onto our camels, we rode through the desert. However, instead of the Utah desert with cactuses, mountains, ridges and trees, It just looked like a barren wasteland with mountains of orange sand. With the occasional palm tree, of course. Eldon, like usual, had complications. His saddle didn't seem to be tight enough, and at one point, he flipped upside down! Brielle, being the way she was allowed him to ride there for a while, but Olive and
Clay hopped off and helped him out. We continued to ride through the desert, on our way to what was known to the locals as the "Pyramid of Zharr", where the Crown Ruby was stored. Inside the very top of the pyramid was the Ruby Tomb. As it got later into the night, it became dark fast. The weather got really cold too, and we set up a basic shelter fast. based on our map, the nearest oasis was still 15 miles away, and we still had 63 miles left to ride so we had to conserve our water that night. Our worry was also on a rogue group of bandits, who had searched for the pyramid for years, however, local government had kept the map well hidden

it was a cold night, and that morning we didn't waste any time. After all, we had a long journey ahead of us. If we were on level ground, It would have been faster for us to just walk to the pyramid, However, the camels were much better at navigating through the sand. we planned to stop at the oasis, and after about 15 miles, we arrived. It was a lot smaller than we hoped it would be, with about three trees and not much water. But it helped anyway. After filling up our water jugs and harvesting coconuts, we
headed back towards the pyramid. It would take more than a whole other day to get there, and we wanted to arrive sooner than later. After making it to just 7 miles away, we stopped and called it a day. Late that night, all of a sudden, Eldon had woken up me, wilson, Matias, Marcus, Clay, and Taysom. "Hey guys, lets play a prank!". Eldon said. "Ooh this is going to be fun!" Taysom said. "On who?""On the girls!"Eldon said in a mischievous voice. "I'm not sure that's such a great idea". Wilson said. "Oh come on, it'll be funny! Who's with me!". Eldon said. Clay, Taysom, and Matias
raised their hand. Me and Wilson didn't see any value in it. And Marcus was too tired to answer. He kneeled there stone-faced with his eyes drooping. Then, Eldon, Clay, Taysom and Matias headed out the tent. I couldn't quite tell what they were up to, but I know they were up to no good.
4. Lenae
I awoke to the noise of the boys in our tent. It was still late at night, and I wasn't awake enough to say anything to them. But Eldon was holding a bunch of bananas, Clay had a tub of ice cream, Taysom had some syrups, and Matias held a container of sprinkles. "Let's make a banana split on Brielle's head!" Eldon said. "Yeah, and lets tie a camel by their tent so it eats it off her face!" Taysom said. "Even better!" Eldon added. They got straight to work placing bananas, ice cream, chocolate, strawberry and Carmel syrup, and sprinkles on her face. Then, Taysom rounded up the camels by the tent. they started to smell the aroma of banana split and headed towards Brielles face! Eldon and the rest were out of there immediately. And the camels went right to work eating and licking the "Banana split" right off her face. Just seconds later, Brielle let out a scream of frustration. She stormed out of the tent and straight towards the boys tent. After we had all got settled on our camels, we
headed straight to the pyramid. Brielle had made Eldon, Clay, Taysom and Matias ride the camels that had gotten sick from eating all the ice cream, and had to stop every 5 minutes to throw up. This time the ride was a lot shorter, being only about an hour away from the pyramid. However, halfway through we noticed a problem. Eldon was gone! "Where's Eldon?" Clay asked. "Not again". Matias remarked. "We'll search for him when we get back from the pyramid. We head into the pyramid tonight." Nobody argued with Brielle, knowing how angry she was after the little stunt they pulled last night. After all, Eldon was a grown man, he should be able to find his way back. "But that could be a long time". Olive said. "How's he supposed to know how to get back?""It doesn't matter" Brielle said in her grumpy voice. When she's mad, you can definetly tell her grumpy voice from her regular one. It's pretty grumpy. Anyways, after an hour we made it to the pyramid. it was very tall, with each block at least 5 feet tall. There was no door or any sort of entrance in sight.
5. Marcus
After a lot of travel, we finally arrived. However, finding an entrance was a lot harder than we thought it would be. We spent over an hour just looking for anything. Until we found a suspicious looking combination lock with hieroglyphs on it. Brielle pulled a notebook out of her backpack. She looked at each of the hieroglyphs and translated them into English until she decoded the message. Then, once all the dials were in the right spot, a light shone down from the arch above us. The message said "turn your eye to the light".
Brielle looked up. Around the light was a circle with a handle on it and from all the sides were triangles... almost like the sun but the triangles were too far apart to be the sun. Then, Brielle turned the handle causing the triangles to move closer to the circle, making a sun. Then, all of a sudden the door opened. In front of us was a long hallway littered with what looked similar to bear traps. We stepped carefully through the hallway until we reached a fork in the road. There was a left, middle, and right hallway. "Okay" Brielle said. "Me, Wilson, and Marcus will go left. Olive,
Matias, and Riley, you take the middle. The rest of you, go right". So me, Brielle and Wilson headed down the left hallway. We didn't have to walk long. Wilson didn't realize the pit of spikes he was about to fall in, but luckily Brielle caught him by the backpack before he dropped 30 feet. "That was a close one". I said. "We can't afford to have anymore near-mishaps." Brielle said. "Be more careful". Then, we heard footsteps behind us. and lights starting to come closer. Then, three figures in dress clothes and wearing bowler hats walked into the room. The middle one,
seemingly the leader had blond hair and a blond curly mustache. "What do we have here?" he said. "I don't suppose you know how to get past this pit, Mr. mustache?" Brielle said. "It's Beckham." He said. "Mr. Beckham, and as far as that goes I don't know.""Well, I'm here for the Crown Ruby.""Oh really..." He said. "Well we're here for the treasure. what do you say, I don't know... we work together to find it and split it, 50/50?"" I don't know..." Brielle said. "We only just met you.""Oh, you can trust me... I am an explorer, after all." And with that, We tried to figure out how to make
across. "I've got an idea" Wilson said. Wilson started pulling his shoelaces out. "What are you doing?" I said. He tied his two shoelaces together and tied a slip knot at the end. Then he swung the rope and threw it to a wooden post at the other side. Then he swung across the gap and climbed up the sheer cliff on the other side. We then all proceeded to cross to the other side.
6. Matias
We went down the middle hallway, not knowing what would come next.
As we walked by, all of a sudden a giant log attached to chains swung down. We immediately dropped to the ground to escape the impending danger. As we brushed off nearly being plowed over, we continued following the path. In front of us was a closed door, with a pedestal beside it. On the pedestal was a stone button. When we pushed it, all of a sudden the door opened. We walked through it, not expecting it to shut behind us. Just then, spikes stored in the
wall slid into place and the two walls to the side of us started slowly closing in. Me, Olive and Riley started looking for a way out of there. On the wall next to the door in front of us was three metal levers. Above them, written in Egyptian hieroglyphs was a sign that read:"Choose wisely or choose death". I assumed if we chose the wrong lever, something bad would happen. "We don't have time for that". Olive said. "Matias, Riley help me break those levers off.
Maybe we can use them as a brace against the wall." The levers were old and rusted, and required being pulled upward to activate it, enabling us to put all our weight over each of them, breaking the levers off and holding them in position to stop the wall. As the wall moved closer, It finally stopped when it made contact with the metal levers. Then, the metal started bending."It's not going to work!".I said. "Wait" Olive said. "Lets use the lever to open the
