Game Name: Τυφλόμυγα/Blind Man’s Buff
Setting (Indoor / Outdoor / Digital): Indoors (classroom center) or Outdoors (playground). Note: The area must be spacious and free of obstacles to ensure safety.
Materials:
A scarf or fabric (to use as a blindfold).
Music (optional, for starting/stopping the round).
HOW TO PLAY?
The children form a large circle. One child is selected to be the "Blind Man" and is blindfolded with the scarf. The child is gently spun around 3 times while the rest of the group counts: "One, two, three!" The other children move around the "Blind Man" shouting "Here I am!" or "Catch me!" When the "Blind Man" tags a child, they must guess who it is by touching their face/clothes (simplified version) or by asking "Who are you?", to which the caught child replies "It's me!" (using a funny or disguised voice). If the guess is correct, they switch roles.
Children’s Experience / Observations
The children showed great enthusiasm, particularly with the elements of mystery and tactile exploration. Some children were hesitant to have their eyes covered, so they were allowed to simply close their eyes without the blindfold or play in pairs (with a "helper"). High physical activity and laughter were observed, while they developed spatial awareness without the use of sight.
HOW THE CHILDREN EXPERIENCE THE FLOW?
The children achieved a state of flow through a combination of sensory focus and anticipation:
Heightened Hearing: Because their vision was limited, they were forced to focus entirely on their hearing to locate their classmates' voices. This intense concentration kept them immersed in the activity.
Suspense: The thrill of "will I get caught?" or "who did I catch?" kept their interest high, preventing distractions.
Instant Feedback: The success of the action (catching someone or escaping) provided immediate joy and validation, encouraging them to keep playing.

Then it was announced that we would play a game together from those days. The children joined in with joy and delight, as if reviving a beautiful memory from a bygone era.
