“Hi, I’m Jennifer. I love the beach because it helps me think, dream, and remember that learning never stops.”

For many years, I’ve worked in education. Helping children learn and grow has always been an important part of who I am.
Education has been my journey for many years. Along the way, I’ve learned that every experience helps shape who we become. Travel is one of my passions, and books are another. When we read, we can visit new places without ever leaving our seat.
At 57, I decided to return to graduate school. It felt like starting a new journey, but I believe it’s never too late to learn something new My current destination is graduate school, where I am studying Instructional Technology and Media Literacy. This program helps me design meaningful learning experiences for students and teachers. I have experience learning in online courses, which has helped me become organized, reflective, and open to collaboration. I value clear communication and shared ideas when working with others.

I have experience learning in online courses, which has helped me become organized, reflective, and open to collaboration. I value clear communication and shared ideas when working with others. In this course, I hope to strengthen my instructional design skills, learn from my peers, and apply what I learn directly to my work in the school library. My journey as a lifelong learner continues.

Today, I am a media specialist at Auburn Elementary School. My library is a place where stories, technology, and curiosity take students on new adventures. I work at an elementary school with Pre-K through 5th grade students, classroom teachers, administrators, and families. Together, we support learning through reading, inquiry, and technology
