is for Arctic Sovereignty!

The Arctic is like a big snowball on top of the Earth! It's cold, but lots of countries like Canada, Russia, and the USA all think parts of it belong to them. It's like arguing over who owns the biggest pile of snow in the playground. This is a big challenge because the ice is melting due to climate change, making new shipping routes.

is for Bid-Rent Theory!
Imagine you want to build a lemonade stand. If you build it right in the busiest middle of town (CBD), you pay a lot of money for that spot! But if you move a little further away to the quiet suburbs, the spot costs less. That's why big cities have tall skyscrapers in the middle and smaller houses further out!

is for Culture!

Culture is the special way a group of people lives! Like Artifacts are things we can see and touch like our food, clothes, and tools. But the biggest part is hidden underwater! That includes our beliefs called Mentifacts and our rules or family structures called Sociofacts.

is for Demographic Transition Model!

This is like a special growth chart for countries! It shows how countries change from having lots of babies and lots of unalives like in old times, Stage 1 to having fewer babies and few deaths like Canada, Stage 4. It even helps us predict if a country's population will grow or shrink!

.
is for Emigration!

If you pack your bags and move out of your country to live somewhere else, you are emigrating! It's leaving from your home country. People might emigrate for better jobs or because they need to be safe.

is for Fault Line!

Imagine a giant crack in the ground where two huge tectonic plates meet. That crack is called a fault line! When the plates slide past each other at a fault line, they can get stuck and then BOOM!the ground shakes. That's an earthquake!

is for GPS!

GPS stands for Global Positioning System. It uses satellites floating in space to talk to our phones. It tells us where we are on Earth! This is called our Absolute Location. Because of GPS, we can find where our friend's house is on your phone.

is for High Density

In big cities, lots of people want to live in the same small space. To make room, we build up instead of out. This is High Density! Instead of one house on a big piece of land, we build a tall apartment building where hundreds of families can live. It helps keep the city compact and livable.
