1. Mathematical Reasoning and Algorithmic Thinking (Coding Focus)In the new curriculum, coding is defined not just as a technological tool, but as a core component of mathematical reasoning skills.
Relationship: The coding activities in our project directly align with the learning outcomes of "explaining mathematical expressions created using different symbols through coding" and "expressing mathematical situations in accordance with instructions."
Skill: Breaking a problem into smaller parts (analysis) and producing step-by-step solutions supports the high-level cognitive processes aimed at by the program.
2. Scientific Inquiry and Research (STEM Focus)Our STEM activities are linked to the "Scientific Inquiry" and "Scientific Modeling" objectives within the Science Area Skills of the curriculum.
Application: The curriculum expects children to design simple experiments about phenomena they are curious about and to develop models (prototypes) using their imagination.
Problem Solving: The STEM activities in our project serve the "Engineering Design Cycle" by encouraging children to propose creative solutions to real-life problems and explain these suggestions with reasoning.
3. Digital and Data LiteracyThe new "Maarif" model treats Digital Literacy—which enables students to correctly apply emerging technologies in daily life—as a "cross-curricular component."
Attainment: Using digital tools (coding robots, Web 2.0 tools, etc.) as learning materials within our project fulfills the curriculum goals of "managing digital materials" and "representing data through visuals."

Improving digital skills: Promote computational thinking, programming, and educational robotics to strengthen students’ digital competence from an early age
Teacher training and support: Equip teachers to integrate these technologies into daily classroom routines, providing open educational resources.
Eliminating the gender gap: Pay special attention to encouraging digital careers in STEM disciplines, promoting gender equality.
Promotion of technology subjects: Foster interest in robotics and programming from early childhood through secondary education.
Inclusion and personalization: Adapt teaching to the needs of each student through personalized learning platforms.

THEME 3- PERSONAL LIFE PHYSICAL APPEARANCE AND PERSONALITY
Students exchange information and ideas in written communication by sharing reconstructed meaningful knowledge and content with others
THEME 6- LIFE IN THE CITY& COUNTRY
Students skim the current content by looking very quickly and carefully at the surrounding visual.
THEME 7- LIFE IN THE WORLD AND NATURE
Students recognise significant relationships between pre-existing knowledge past experiences and clues to current content.
THEME 8- LIFE IN THE UNIVERSE & FUTURE
Students recall and activate significant pre-existing knowledge and past experiences that can be related to the current theme and content through careful exploration.
Connection with the Curriculum (4th Grade Primary School)
The project “My Coding Planet” can be connected with the 4th Grade curriculum through various subjects and skills.

Social and Digital Skills
Middle school coding outcomes, at the 5th-6th grade level, focus on fundamental algorithmic thinking, block-based programming (Scratch), problem-solving, variables, decision structures (if-then), and the use of loops. Students become familiar with hardware/software components, concretize code through robotics applications, and develop algorithmic/critical thinking skills, which are essential 21st-century abilities.
1. To become individuals who, as digital citizens, have a good understanding of technological concepts, systems, and processes,
2. To use information technologies effectively and appropriately,
3. To access, research, and use internet-based services,
4. To develop a general understanding and technical knowledge of computer science,
5. To acquire and develop problem-solving and computational thinking skills,
6. To be able to follow and evaluate the reasoning process,
7. To acquire collaborative work skills as part of the learning process, to benefit from social environments, and to share what they have learned,
8. To seek learning opportunities in the internet environment,
Develops Logical Thinking Skills: Coding improves problem-solving and logical thinking skills. Children learn fundamental skills such as understanding the logical flow and sequencing steps in a programming language.
Coding is a process that must be progressed through in stages. Each piece of code is a piece of a larger puzzle. Focusing on a problem and finding a solution in this process instills disciplined work habits. Moreover, the feeling of satisfaction you get at the end motivates you even more in your next project.
Tevfik İleri Anadolu Lisesi
The aim is for students to:
• Gain knowledge about programming languages and algorithm concepts and their development process;
• Create the steps to solve a problem and present it as an algorithm;
• Create a flowchart for a problem;
• Gain the knowledge to code the algorithm they designed using a programming language;
• Learn the basic concepts of programming;
• Develop programs containing loops and decision structures;
• List and correct errors in the designed algorithms and flowcharts;
• Explain advanced algorithm applications and their uses.

Develops Logical Thinking Skills: Coding improves problem-solving and logical thinking skills. Children learn fundamental skills such as understanding the logical flow and sequencing steps in a programming language.
Encourages Creative Thinking: Coding equips children with the ability to think creatively and generate original ideas. It encourages them to use their imagination by creating their own games or interactive stories.
Strengthens Problem-Solving Skills: Coding activities enable children to approach problems systematically. It develops analytical thinking skills to identify and correct errors.
Develops Collaboration and Communication Skills: Coding often involves group work. This allows children to develop their skills in working together, exchanging ideas, and solving problems collaboratively.
COLEGIO DE EDUCACION INFANTIL Y PRIMARIA CEIP San Cristóbal
Increases Interest in Technology: Children who receive coding education at a young age increase their interest in technology and nurture their curiosity in the field of computer science. This strengthens their ability to use technology effectively in the future.
Prepares for the Future: In today's rapidly advancing technological world, coding skills are becoming increasingly important. Children who acquire these skills at a young age increase their chances of success in their future education and careers.
