WHERE IS ROBI?
Tuna, Lily, and Eda are good friends. They live in Ankara, the capital of Turkiye. They study at Atatürk Lower Secondary School. They are in Year 5. They are in the same class and they often spend time together. They eat together at lunch time, play together during breaks, and often help each other with their schoolwork.
Tuna is a curious boy. He likes asking questions about everything. He is interested in science and technology. He loves building things and drawing plans. He always asks, "How does it work?" and enjoys robotic coding. He spends many hours working on his computer.
Lily is a clever and hardworking girl. She is careful with her homework and keeps her school bag tidy. She likes learning new languages and always says, "Practice makes perfect!". She enjoys reading English books in her free time.

EDA TUNA LİLY

Eda is funny and energetic. Her favourite lessons are Art and Physical Education because she loves being active. She enjoys painting, drawing, and playing games. You can always hear her saying, "Let's have fun!". She is also very kind and helpful to her classmates.
They are different in many ways. They don't have the same hobbies and interests, but they get on well with each other. They enjoy spending time together, talking and laughing. Their friendship is strong.

It is a beautiful Monday morning. The weather is sunny and the school garden is full of students. Many students are outside before the lesson. Some students sit on the benches and chat with their friends. Others play fun games in the playground. Tuna arrives at school and meets his friends, Eda and Lily, in the garden. He carries a big box in his hands. The box looks heavy. Tuna is very excited and he smiles happily.
"Good morning girls! Are you ready for the big day?" he says.
Eda and Lily look at him in surprise. "Hi, Tuna. Ready for what? Oh, is it your birthday? What's in the box?" asks Eda.

What's in that box?

"Come on! It's not my birthday. Don't you remember? We have an Information Tecnology lesson today and this is my project. I can't wait to show it to you. What time is it?" says Tuna. Eda looks at her watch and answers:
"It's half past eight. Oh, let's hurry up! The lesson starts at twenty to nine."
"You are right! It's time to go to the classroom then. We musn't be late!" says Lily. She hates being late for lessons.
They start walking fast towards the school building. They reach the classroom just in time. The students take their seats and the IT teacher comes into the classroom.
"Good morning, class!" says the teacher.
"Good morning, Mrs. Kaya." shout the students alltogether.

Mrs. Kaya looks at them and speaks:
"Today, Tuna will show us his project. Please listen to him carefully. Don't forget to raise your hand before you speak. Let's get started!"
"Hello, everyone! Here is my robot. It is my IT project. It can walk and talk," says Tuna.
He places the big box on the teacher's desk. He opens it gently and starts the robot. Its eyes blink and it turns around in front of the smart board.
All the students get surprised and they watch the robot carefully.
"Hi! I'm Robi. I like school, learning and ice cream!" says the robot.
"Haha! We like robots that serve ice cream," jokes Eda.

Hi! I am Robi!

"Wow! That's amazing. It speaks English," says Lily.
"Yeah, I'm from Türkiye but I can speak English." says the robot.
"Your robot is so cool, Tuna," says Eda.
"Thanks. I want to use it in our Tecnology and Drama clubs."
"Well done, Tuna. This is very creative," says Mrs. Kaya.
The bell rings, and it is time for a break now. The students enjoy playing football and volleyball during break time.
"Hey, let's take the robot to the sports field. We can play games together. Do you like sports, Robi?" asks Eda.
"I love sports! Physical Education is my favourite lesson," replies the robot.
"Be careful. There are many students in the sports field. You mustn't run too fast.
No turbo mode!" warns Lily.

No turbo mode!
OK!
"That's OK. Follow me, Robi! Line up, nice and straight!" says Tuna and waves his hand.
Tuna, Lily, and Eda arrive at the sport field. They look around, but they can't see the robot.
Tuna shouts,
"Where is Robi? Oh, no! Is it lost?"
They turn back to check the corridors, but they can't find it anywhere.
"Maybe it is in the classroom," says Eda.
"Let's go and find it!" says Lily.

WHERE IS ROBİ?
Three friends return to the classroom, but the robot isn't there. Tuna is very unhappy. Lily is excited because she sees a note on the board. It is a message from Robi. She reads it slowly,
"I'm not lost, I'm fine. I'm near the books for some quiet time."
"Books? Hold on! Is it in the library?" asks Tuna.
"I can't believe this! Let's go and see," answers Lily.
The children leave the classroom and run to the library. Eda warns Tuna and Lily,
"Shhh! Be quiet! We can't make noise here."
I'M NOT LOST,
I'M FINE.
I'M NEAR
THE BOOKS
FOR
SOME QUIET
TİME.
They go into the library slowly. There are many bookshelves and desks around. Some students are reading books. The librarian is at her desk, but Robi isn't there.
This time, Eda finds another note on the noticeboard and reads it quietly. It's a new message from Robi,
"No more reading, It's time to eat. Where the friends and food all meet?"
"Haha! Your robot is hungry, Tuna," says Eda.
"It must be kidding!"
"Sure. It can speak English and also make jokes. Let's go on," says Lily.
Tuna, Lily, and Eda go to the canteen next. There are many tables and chairs around, but they can't see the robot.
