 Prologue 

Once there was a couple of kids who were all siblings. The Eldest was Catlin , Middle being Charles (More commonly referred to as Charlie), And the youngest Callie. One day,when  their school had a school carnival, the three went missing.

   Chapter 1-

                        The Field Trip

Callie,Charlie,and Caitlin were excited to go on the school carnival field trip. What they didn't like was that the whole school was going! The three may be siblings and have the same blood,but fight each other constantly as if they were all enemies , So this probably wasn’t gonna end well.. “ You three must stick together ok? Don’t talk to strangers, and stay safe,and mostly, "Please, just for today,please,don’t fight.” Cora, their mother said,giving  the children a lecture on how to stay safe,and mostly,not just for safety,but because the children never got along. “ Yes Mother, As the eldest, I will protect my dearest siblings.” Caitlin said,then Charlie and Callie rolled their eyes. “Oh shut your big smart ah mouth” muttered Charlie. Cora gave her children a death stare. “Children , I mean it. Be good. Looks like the bus is here. Well, bye kids,

have fun!” . The kids raced out of the house and went to the school carnival. At home,Cora felt  relieved. It was not easy to take care of three children,who are always at each other's throats. But  at the same time,Cora was worried.She said it herself,the kids never got alongThere was music,lights,and games everywhere “WHOA, IT”S ZOMBIES VS. PLANTS! Bye ugly sisters going somewhere much cooler!” Charlie said and was going to walk over to the game station but Caitlin grabbed him. “Where do you think you're going? As the eldest I will make sure you stay safe, and therefore, not let you out of my sight ""yeah yeah, ok your dumb “As the Eldest “ speech is done so let go of me dork!” Charlie hated Caitlin. Well, he hated Callie too, but at least Callie could handle a joke unlike Catlin. Catlin then started to scold Charlie, and Callie had just enough of it. So, She started running towards the woods. “Callie No! Wait!!” screamed Catlin and

Charlie and started going after Callie.“DON'T GO THERE” Catlin screamed as she and Charlie chase Callie down into the woods, and when Callie was just about ready to jump down into a river , Caitlin grabbed Callie arm ‘let go OF ME “ Callie screamed. ‘‘NO look now we're in a forest with no maps so we’re LOST” Caitlin  cried,but Charlie just rolled his eye than said “ we don't need a dumb map” Caitlin looked at Charlie,ready to give her “As The Eldest” speech alongside one about safety,she stopped her thoughts.Yelling at Charlie is what made Callie run anyway.yelling even more wasn’t gonna help. Then, Catlin searched in her pocket looking for a map “well I  can't find one and it my job to protect you  so just follow my lead” Catlin looked around thoughtfully ,then ,out out of nowhere, started to yell for help. Charlie looked to Catlin ,about to yell at her that that was not gonna work,but kept his mouth shut.

 It’s not like he had any ideas. So,the siblings began to yell and yell,for hours,but no one could hear them. “They always say what gets you into trouble will get you out of it,but im not sure if thats true”Charlie sighed,for the first time,he was not saying any mean stuff nor yelling. Callie thought of making a fire and making a signal,but none of the siblings knew how to make a fire.And even if they did,they would most likely burn the whole forest down.Charlie thought of climbing a tree to see the carnival and get back before anyone noticed they were gone,but the trees were way too tall,and although Charlie is a great climber,he’s not a pro. As the day turned into night,and night became day,the children hit upon the cold,hard truth..They were lost.

..And,now,they were probably never going to feel the warmth of home ever again.....

Chapter 2-

                      Lost

“We all are lost because of you” Charlie blamed her. “ Stop blaming me!” Catlin yelled, “Blah blah just shut up  “ Charlie  also yelled back  “I am protecting you OK” Catlin cried “From what a monster? “ Charlie rolled his eyes  “ so we don't GET LOST "" WE ALREADY ARE DUMMY!” Charlie screeched back. Calle cried then ran off  yelling “NO IT’S BOTH OF YOUR FAULTS THIS IS WHY I RAN AWAY!” calle ran up a path leading to a big oak tree she sat there crying “NO  CALLE  STOP MAKING A BIG DEAL COME BACK NOW!” Catlin screams  “it IS  our fault just admit your wrong! you're not that smart you're really dumb just admit it!” Charlie said in anger  Catlin did not have time for her brother's words she ran and followed   the path Charlie caught up with and they walked following the path. Meanwhile the school was taking an attendant that noticed 3 kids were missing Mom found out and got 4 detectives to go looking. It was going to take a while until those 3 were found.While all this happened, Callie kept running and did not look back. That is until..she

couldn’t see or hear Catlin and Charlie. “UGH THEY'RE FINALLY QUIET  WHEN I'M GONE !”  Then, Callie realized that she wasn't just lost. She was lost alone . “GRR” something said. “Umm” Callie was confused until she saw it. “Uh oh..” she said under her  breath. It was a bear. “Nice bear..” Callie said nervously , suddenly,the bear started to race towards her. “AHHH HELP!” Callie cried. “That sounds like Callie!” said Catlin and started to run alongside Charlie. WHEN the two finally caught up with Callie they saw the bear. “Charlie ,Callie, get behind ME!” Catlin shouted. “Oh brother..” muttered Charie “GET AWAY FROM MY FAMILY U UGLY THING!”  The bear stood on its two paws and roared.”Catlin,you made it worse!” Charlie said,mad. “OH how about you try calming a bear down!” Catlin lashed back. “Ok. I will!” “wait charlie i -” charlie started to walk up to the bear and said, "it's ok bear” They  making you mad?Yeah they make me mad  too." Charlie seemed to soothe the bear. “You want some food? Go get it!” Charlie grabbed something from his pockets and threw it onto the ground.distracting the bear, and giving a chance to run very fast, until They were only farther away from home,and closer into the depths of the forest.

   Chapter 3-

                                        The Old Lady

“ I'm so hungry and cold.” Complained Callie as she stomped her feet . “Oh,you want me to get that piece of candy back from the bear??” Charlie genuinely asked.”NO!” Said  Callie and Catlin(well, Caitlin said it in a much more scientific way,but overall she meant no). “Our main focus should be getting shelter and food. So I’m thinking-”  Caitlin was cut off by  Charlie when he suddenly shouted “Found one” said Charlie he found some berry , “ they might be poison let me check. "Catlin checked, they were safe to eat..but didn't taste very good.. “I don’t care , I'm hungry!” Callie said but as soon as she took a bite, she spite the berry out. “ UGH what is that??”  Charlie screeched, Then an old lady came out of nowhere and said “ they're called ‘spazz berries'. It tastes like hell but when you put them  in a pie they are delicious . they come from Noth” ” A Old lady  said walking out with a cane  Charlie and Callie ran behind Catlin’s back as Catlin said , “Uh speaking of where people/things come from, where’d you come from and who are you??”  “ A cottage.""A cottage where?” “There is no cottage here” said Catlin “yes there is a look.” Suddenly, where nothing was before, a cottage appeared.

"..That wasn't there before..” Callie said slowly “ HOW DARE YOU INSULT ME DISGUSTING CHILD” The old lady said, and seemed to Grow bigger and when she realize\ she had scared the kids she shrunk back down and said  “It's about to be dark soon come into my cottage”And let

the kids to the cottage as if  nothing had happened. “So, why are you out here?” the old lady asked . “We are lost.” Catlin simply said, no

 longer questioning the lady for she had gotten the children shelter. “ Oh , that is terrible! You should stay until we find your family again. My name is Mrs.Crow. What is yours?” So, the children did what there were asked and introduced  

themselves . “ I’m Callie. I’m 8 years old.” “ I’m Catlin, the eldest, being 13.” Charlie was about to roll his eyes , but decided to be polite and did nothing but say  his name. “ Charles.People call me Charlie.” Charlie said (And in case you didn’t know or read the prologue, Charlie’s real name is Charles)Mrs.Crow then saw that Charlie was still afraid. She decided to tell more of herself. “Dearies,I’m very sorry about my outrage. I get quite mad when people think I'm lying.You know?” Catlin and the others nodded. “Yes we understand,I too,do get-” Catlin had been cut off by Charlie’s piercing gaze. Catlin looked at Charlie as if today, “what?” Catlin followed his gaze to see a warm pie.She then suddenly remembered how hungry she was. Callie was looking at the brewed green tea. She then remembered how thirsty she was. When Mrs.Crow had seen what they were staring at ,she suddenly grabbed three plates and a plastic knife to cut the pie ,and got three cups of the green tea for

them. “Oh goddess me! I am terribly sorry for making you wait on the food  with all this talking!” Catlin just nodded and kept staring at the warm pie.     

Mrs.Crow  grabbed a load of berry pie “same berry but better” miss crow said than got a plate of pie.   A wave of comforting warmth spread through them as the first bite of warm berry pie touched their lips, the sticky sweetness cutting through the very  sweet  but bitter warm  taste of the brewed  green iced tea  . “This.. is amazing..” Callie said, amused. “How on earth did you make this?” Catlin asked, “I need to write it down.” she said, also amused. “I can’t reveal my mother’s secret. Sorry family secrets. All I can say is it had that spazzberry.” Mrs.Crow said,then guided the children into a room for sleep. “I hope you feel comfortable, I wasn't really prepared for a visitor.” Mrs.Crow said ,as the kids went on the beds. “Oh that is fine,thank you so much Mrs.Crow.” Catlin replied,and Mrs.Crow smiled and then left. “I have a bad feeling about her..” Charlie said,as he got up when Mrs.Crow left the room. “Charlie,be grateful.” Caitlin said and fell asleep. “Charlie,” Callie said softly. “I believe you. She seems so nice,but there's something about her

I can’t put my finger on..” Suddenly,when Callie finished,She  and Charlie heard a cackle . “The kids will be ready by tomorrow.Yes, they seem good . Maybe they even taste good..”

             Chapter 4-

                                                   Run and Hide

 7:44 am The Two kids started to wake up Catlin,as soon as they heard Mrs.Crow say that. “Hmm??” Caitlin said, tired . “Mrs.Crow is Evil! We need to go!” Callie cried.    All the kids ran until they reached the door “where do you thank your going now …” miss crow said she laughed an evil witch laugh. Charlie then stared  at Miss crow then yelled “come on  we have to leave now or whatever just run fast”They tried to pull open the heavy, iron-studded door, but it was no use; it didn't budge an inch.  “Uh oh it’s locked! Catlin yelled. Callie banging at the door “ let us go you  evil witch” Caille cried “ yeah you freck  were not food just let us go now” Charlie said  .”  not so fast kids.. Let play a game”   miss crow said quiet . catlin than cried likes she never before ” leave me and my d

sibling alone were just kids!”    “ I don’t like your tone missy!” Mrs.Crow said then seemed to get bigger “ let see what game hmm how about run and hide..” everyone nodded,or at least that’s what Mrs.Crow thought they did.In truth,they were actually shivering. “ i will give you 10 seconds  “ she yelled her eye looked like they turned red all kids ran outside the all hid behind a bush “10 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1, run or hide … “all kids started yelling  and running for their lives.All the kids were scared,But,they knew they needed a plan. “Run!!! “ Charlie said,not quiet,but not loud enough for Miss Crow to hear.”Hold on! We need a plan…An escape..” Catlin paused,looking around. “ A Vent.” Callie said,looking up,and as soon as she said that,the others hugged her. “Callie ,you're a genius!Come on,Help Me up so I can Grab you two.” And the 2 obeyed. Soon,with lots of tries,Catlin was up. “Callie you're the smallest,so Charlie’s gonna give you a boost. So then once you're up,we’ll grab you Charlie!" Charlie Paused. Then,he

started to nod,slowly. “But we need to be quick. Come on Callie,On my shoulders.” Charlie Grabbed Callie, And Catlin Grabbed Callie. Now,the Witch (Miss.Crow) was close. “HEHE I’M GETTING CLOSE!!” “Quick,Grab me!” Charlie yelled,so loud that Mrs.Crow could hear him. Callie and  Catlin pulled Charlie up, but it was no use. They tugged and tugged,and… “Got ya!” Callie cried, and pulled Charlie up. “NOOOOO” Cried Miss Crow, but she couldn’t get up. “In your face!” Catlin yelled,and the three ran further into the vents.  “ that vent won't get you very far”  as she bit her lips and than  tap the wall with her long curly fingernail .miss crow said  it was like miss crow had a plan. They crawl into the vents every little step felt like it was  closer to something or someone . “ umm now what do we go left or right?” Callie said staring at catlin and charles for a answer  both just stared back at Callie “ umm we didn't think about the whole plan yet…. “ as catlin just looked back behind her hands on the dusty vent

than she sneezed “wow it's dusty” caitlin said in a loud voice that eco .” yeah dumbo what are we gonna do now after we get out of this dusty place  we need food and water” cailie than had a plan “ you are both donkey , let just get food here..” callie pointed back to the beginning the  smell of  the nice brewed tea the smell of the fresh bread oh they'd missed that smelled but who knew what was in that food.” No, that is not safe” Catlin said but she still kept following knowing she said she would never leave her sibling alone she felt like rolling her eyes just like charlie but she hated the habit. If they went back now it was the old lady  would sure catch them  “come on we needs some food guys!” callie said

Chapter 5-

Where in the world are we?

Callie then walked back, trying to go inside and get food."ARE YOU DUMB, CALLIE?" Charlie said."I guess I am," Callie replied. She did not care. She knew that the chances of her getting caught were likely very real, but the chance of having a full stomach was also real. Callie wanted to eat and cared about surviving. The plan might have been reckless, maybe even stupid in the long run, but it offered them a chance at a real meal tonight—not just another handful of dried beans. It was a desperate gamble fueled by an empty stomach, and in that moment, desperation felt smarter than caution ever did… “YOUR GONNA GET YOUR SELF KILLED!” "CHARLIE, SHUT UP! STOP BEING SO STUBBORN!" “Am I wrong?” “NO! But..” While Caitlin and Charlie were fighting, Callie ran into the woods all alone, again! So then she grabbed

a few good-looking but bad-tasting berries and a big, fat mushroom. After that, Caitlin and Charlie followed her quietly, like a  spy or a ninja, but Callie accidentally stepped on something.BOOM! It was a twig. Then they fell out. It was not the forest anymore..Yes, we made it to a city... Now what? Charlie said in a hurry."Oh, look! A cave!" Caitlin said quietly, so Mrs. Crow wouldn't hear them in case she was near."I don't know. Do you think this is smar—" Before he knew it, Caitlin and Callie grabbed him tightly."You know Mrs. Crow was right there, dummy! Callie laughed a little and realized that something was off; it was hard to see from the dark cave. "Why didn't Mrs. Crow follow us here?" Callie shivered.Mrs. Crow was looking right at the cave, but then she ran away. Now they may have been safe, but why did Mrs. Crow  not come  into the cave? Maybe she was scared, or she just didn't see them there. It was hard to understand why.Then they went out to look for some food, so they entered a grocery store."Wait, maybe we can ask for help here. It also seems

like we are in a new town," Caitlin started, then looked around for people. It felt so weird to be missing for a week or two; they had not seen people before, other than Mrs. Crow and their siblings."EXCUSE ME! WE NEED HELP! WE ARE MISSING KIDS TRYING TO FIND OUR WAY HOME!" Charlie yelled in the empty grocery store.No one listened except a girl with a hat covering up her face, who came over. "Come over here, I can help you," she said, leading the kids outside of the store.The mystery person finally took off their hat and revealed themselves. It was someone they never would have seen coming…“ HAHA ohh.. You just fell right into my trap children.” she laugh with joy,ugly joy. Then they passed out.The morning sun didn't filter through the curtains,it slammed into their eyelids with a raw, blinding heat. When charle reached out to steady himself against the bedroom wall, his hand met only empty air, He sat up, his heart hammering against his ribs like a trapped bird. There was no roof no old dresser, no house—only a some grass and a bird(crow) up from a tree mocking them, a  blue sky where the ceiling should have been. Then catlin woke up to

her brother all scared and screaming “ really come on it  umm early” then she saw nothing but a crow who flew away  “ where are we “ caitlin worried . then in a panic then she noticed , there was no sight of callie anywhere. Now all there was was a laugh, an evil very evil laugh, a laugh that crackled ,sounded just like ms.crow. Beside Her,was a body, it was filled with cuts and scrapes and burnt marks top to bottom. When the siblings had finally realized who the person laying on the ground was,they suddenly broke down in tears. “CALLIE” Croaked Charlie. “Why-WHY!! Why..” Sobbed Catlin “Why her?” “I had to choose one didn't I?” Mrs.Crow had a ugly smirk on her face then spoke very softly,as if she was not trying to kill them. “Now dearies, I mean no harm.” “Yeah right! As if you're not trying to kill us!”Charlie yelled at Mrs.Crow.Mrs.Crow did not care at all,however,and continued. “You don’t have to make this hard.Just let me have you,and then,happy days. As if it never happened.I just need to poke you a little with a needle,not a big one.However,if you refuse,don’t expect anything good.”Charlie sighed and begged Mrs.Crow if they could say goodbye at the least. “As you wish” she answered with a grin.They all ran towards Callie as Mrs.Crow moved aside.

They suddenly start remarking every injury they saw.They immediately broke down in tears crying . “ please no don't leave me please”said Charlie  “I-I’m such a terrible sister you were always carrying and dragging the burden of our bickering.I should have been better”Catlin sobbed and sobbed,then when the siblings were done,Charlie ran towards Mrs.Crow so fast she could not see him.He picked up her axe,and slammed it into her throat.When he had realized she was dead,he simply grabbed a bucket load or dirt and hid her body.Finally,when he was done,he picked up her body, found a big bag as big as himself and put the young child inside to take home and bury. “Are you crazy?”Caitlin said,secretly amused. “What was I supposed to do let her kill us?” Catlin sighed and shook her head.“We shall never forget you.” For the first time,Charlie looked solemn and wise.When Charlie and Catlin had looked at Catlin’s burnt face they finally zipped up the bag.To this day,they do not see the kind lushes brown longed haired girl,but the burnt and bloody child who met

her terrible fate.
