Ana: Fine too, thanks. What a beautiful day for a walk in the park.

Ana: I woke up at nine o'clock today, but from Monday to Friday I get up at seven o'clock , have a shower, and have breakfast at a quarter to eight.
Nicole: I wake up a little later, at half past seven. I have a shower, and after breakfast I brush my teeth. I must be quick, because I don’t want to be late for school.
Mário: At what time do you have to go to school?
Mário: I go to school at eight o’clock because it’s a little far from my house.
Ana: How nice that it’s Saturday and we can go for a walk, because during the week I always have too many things to do. I have to do my homework straight after lunch. Then I have dance at three o'clock and sports at half past four.
Mário: I also have a busy afternoon with homework, piano lessons, and basketball. I only get home around seven o’clock, just in time for dinner.
Nicole: My afternoons are like that too. I have lunch at school at one o'clock and do my homework in the library.
Then I have ballet and a computer class. I get home at half past six, have dinner, and then go to my room to read. At nine o'clock, I go to bed.

My Daily Routines
My days are usually quite busy with many different activities. I normally get up around half past eight, go to the bathroom, freshen up, get dressed, and then prepare breakfast — yoghurt or milk with coffee, cereal, fruit or toast — while listening to the radio. After that, I go for a walk for about an hour and a half, whenever the weather allows.
When I return home, I take a shower, check my emails and messages, and finish university work and other necessary tasks such as tidying up, shopping, or helping to prepare lunch.
On some days in the afternoon, I have classes at
Unisseixal, which are very structured. I also help family members when needed. In addition, I have two hours of swimming per week.
I usually have dinner at half past seven, and afterwards I watch the news, read, chat, relax, and try to go to bed by half past eleven.
Between Friday and Monday, my routines change quite a bit depending on my plans — shows, gatherings with family and friends, or short getaways.
I believe that having responsible routines is good for us.
