Thank you to my mom and my dad for supporting me in everything I do.
This would never have been made without the help of Mrs. Terhune AND Alysa Liu, who helped me be happier and develop determination.

MISSION TO MARS: Who I Am as a Member of the Team: 14-15pg

HI! I am the Andromeda Galaxy, in your local group by where you live, in the Milky Way! By the way, I am taller than the mily way by a 100,000 light years in diameter!!

Hmph. HI! I'm the Milky Way, and i am similar to Andromeda, my neighbor. But, we have the same mass.
How does the Milky Way compare to the Andromeda Galaxy in size and weight?
The Andromeda and Milky Way galaxies are very similar. They both have stars, and Andromeda is our neighbor in space. As sci news put it, “Andromeda Galaxy has a mass of 800 billion solar masses, on par with the Milky Way.” Andromeda has about the same mass as the Milky Way, which is really big at 800 billion solar masses. But Andromeda is bigger in diameter. As sci news shows, “Andromeda is 200,000 light-years in diameter, while the Milky Way is only 100,000 light-years in diameter.” The Milky Way is smaller than the Andromeda galaxy, with a difference of 100,000 light-years in diameter. They are also barred spirals and are really pretty in the sky. So the galaxies are very similar, more than different.

This picture has two types of bone density. The one on the right is bad, and the one on the left is ok.

This picture shows earth's gravity, the reason why our legs are so strong.

What are the causes and effects of space living and travel?
Some of the effects on the body in space. As bcm.edu puts it, “On Earth, we’re exposed to a relatively minimal amount of radiation on any given day– but in space, astronauts are exposed to about 100 times that. Astronauts get exposed to radiation 100 times on their normal day, then the radiation we get on our earthly normal day, so that means you are more exposed to radiation in space. Your bones get damaged in space. bcm.edu says, “Without the need to carry the load of Earth’s gravity, the bones in the lower part of your body (legs, hips, and spine) are doing less work. The decrease in load-bearing results in your bones losing their density.” Without earth’s gravity, Our bones lose calcium, which means losing density. Your lower bones are doing less work in microgravity, so it means when you come back from space, you might not be able to walk. Space is really dangerous.

This is Lisa Marie Nowak, and she was a pilot in 2005.She flew in space aboard Space Shuttle Discovery during the STS-121 mission in July 2006.
How many types of astronauts are there, and what do they do?
Astronauts train and prepare for space. First, they train the candidates, and the new astronauts get their mission and are paired with skilled astronauts for more training. There are 2 categories: pilots and mission specialists, where they do different things. As nasa.gov says, once the candidate training period is complete, new astronauts are given their missionassignment and grouped with experienced astronauts to continue training. The two types ofastronauts – pilots and mission specialists – perform different functions: pilot astronauts are assigned to fly the shuttle and command missions, and mission specialists are the flight engineersassigned to conduct spacewalks, perform robotics tasks andconduct scientific research.” Pilots are made to fly the shuttle and direct missions. The mission specialists are the flight engineers, and they go into the vacuum in space, fix robots, and do science.

This rover is Persevrence, one of NASA's rovers that is on mars.

This is Sojourner, one of the rovers that were scent to inspect mars.
