CROATIA

The Traveling Sun
One morning, the sky felt a little strange. It wasn’t dark… but it wasn’t very bright either. “Something’s missing,” the clouds whispered.
Down below, in a classroom, some children were busy cutting paper. Snip, snip, snip. They cut long yellow rays,
straight, wavy, zigzag, each one different.

Then they painted a big circle, swirling red, orange, and yellow together. Spreading light across their paper. Carefully, they glued the rays around a glowing circle. A little crooked, a little uneven..
“Let’s make a SUN!” one child said.
When they finished, they stepped back.
For a moment… nothing happened. Then one ray moved. Then another. The colors began to glow.
The sun slowly lifted from the paper. “I think I’m needed somewhere else,” it said.
Far away, in another country,
the days had been quiet and grey.
The sun didn’t visit very often there.
So the little sun gathered its rays
and floated out the window.
It travelled over mountains, rivers, and cities,
carrying the warmth of the children who made it.
Finally, it arrived at a new classroom...

GREECE

(We created our Sun using our handprints as bright sunrays, surrounding a paper plate we painted yellow )

The Sun travelled over rivers, mountains, and cities, carrying light and warmth.
Now it arrives in Greece, where a new story begins…
"Hello, my dear friends… I am the Sun. Each day I travel across the endless sky,
on a golden path that never says goodbye, from distant corners, far away,
I come to light a brand new day.Now I shine above Greece so bright,
with blue seas dancing in my light, over lands of beauty, old and wise,
where ancient stories softly rise...
The children lift their eyes to the Attic Sky.
The Sun glows above them… almost alive.
“It is not just the Sun,” they whisper.
"It has a story.”
And so, like the ancients, they begin to imagine...
“A golden being who travels the sky,” they say.
“And his sister, Eos, who brings the morning light.”
In their minds, the sky fills with color—pink, gold, and soft fire!
The sunrise becomes a story!

Helios and Eos
The God of Sun and the Goddess of the Dawn .
Bringing Helios and Eos to Life... from Shapes to Stories
(First, the children traced the bodies of their classmates on large paper.
Then, with colors and imagination, they brought them to life as Helios the God of Sun and Eos the goddess of the dawn ).

Houses, the sea, and ancient temples
begin to glow.
Helios travels across the Sky, painting it with soft colors. For a moment, the sun lingers over Greece, warm and bright.
Then, slowly, drawn by a whisper of light in the distance, he continues his journey… beyond the horizon, toward another land, another glory—where new friends are waiting for his light to continue the story!

Αs the Sun rises over Athens, golden light gently awakens the city.
LITHUANIA
Then the sun wanted to visit the children living in Lithuania, who loved the sun and its warmth.

Early in the morning, the sun began to rise, illuminating the faces of all the children. It gently caressed each child’s face with its golden rays, inviting them to play outside. Finally, one child said that it was time to create their own sun—one that would accompany them every day, even when the sky was pouring with rain.

In Lithuania, spring often arrives slowly, so we eagerly await warmth and sunshine. Longer days and the first warm rays remind us that soon we will spend more time outdoors, enjoying nature and light.

"After Romania, the Sun reached Turkey, where its light never fades. The children, who were waiting with great curiosity, first read books and conducted scientific research. Then, to greet their friend in the sky, they prepared a giant, shining sun using finger paints."
