Introduction
California quails are known for their sharp feathered plumes. They are plume birds that can be found foraging around the ground.
Habitat The California quail lives primarily along the Pacific Coast of North America, with a natural range extending from southern Oregon to Baja California.

Food California quails are herbivorous ground foragers. They roughly eat 70% vegetarian materials, mainly seeds and leaves.

Adaptations
They can run rapidly rather than fly to escape threats.
