This book was written by the “Breathe Together” eTwinning project partners. Our project aims to help us understand nature, realize that we coexist, and show how we can live in harmony.

Once upon a time, in a colorful world full of forests, rivers, and animals, there was a small group of children who loved nature very much. They came from different places, but they all shared the same dream: to protect the Earth and live in harmony with it.
One sunny day, while they were walking in the forest, they noticed something unusual. The trees were quieter, the river was slower, and the animals looked worried. “What is happening to our beautiful world?” one of the children asked.
They decided to work together to find a solution. They listened to the wind, watched the birds, and followed the flowing river...

As they were following the river, they saw that the grass was pale, the birds were dizzy, the leaves of the trees were falling.
Suddenly, a little boy said:
Look here! What is this strange object in the grass? What has happened?
Küçük kız diğerlerine, "Bir şeyler yapmalıyız," dedi. "Bu nesnenin buraya ait olmadığını düşünüyorum."
They quickly headed to the strange object trying to lift it up....

When they lifted the object, they saw old plastic and rubbish under it. The children started to clean the area, and nature began to look alive again, as if it was thanking them.

However, they soon realized that the “strange object” they had moved was merely the shadow of a much greater silence. The forest did not simply need to be cleared; it required a spiritual renaissance.
As the sun sank below the horizon, casting its long amber fingers across the clearing, the ground beneath their feet began to tremble with a rhythmic, low-frequency vibration. It was not a machine, but a symbiotic heartbeat—the Earth was finally breathing again.

At that moment, thin blue cracks began to appear along the trunks of the trees. As the cracks widened, light spilled out from within, and the leaves shimmered like gold despite the darkness of night. The children stepped back in fear, but a soft sound rose from deep within the forest. It was not exactly a voice; it sounded like the whisper of wind, birds, and water all speaking together.
Suddenly, roots rose from beneath the ground and formed a giant circle in the middle of the clearing. Inside the circle, countless glowing seeds floated into the air. Within each seed was a memory from the past: vanished rivers, fallen trees, forgotten animals… The forest was revealing its own memories.
Then the largest seed opened. From it emerged a translucent creature resembling a deer, its antlers sparkling as if they were made of stardust. Wherever it stepped, flowers bloomed and dried branches came back to life. When one of the children reached out a hand, the creature touched its forehead, and at that instant they all saw the same vision:

Thanks to this vision, the children’s minds were imprinted not only with the Earth’s past but also with its future.
What they saw was a gigantic, shimmering tree. Its roots stretched into the depths of the oceans, while its branches reached the stars in the sky. The most fascinating part was that every leaf of this tree was nourished by a human hand and a beating animal heart. The children witnessed how humanity and nature could coexist within a vast and harmonious cycle without destroying one another. This was not merely a dream; it was a future they would have to build.

When the vision faded and they opened their eyes, the the stardust deer slowly dissolved into the air, leaving a single glowing seed in the palm of each child...
