My favourite story is "The Lion and the Mouse".
One day, a big lion is sleeping in the forest. A small mouse runs over him. The lion wakes up and catches the mouse.
The mouse is very scared and says, "Please let me go. One day I can help you." The lion laughs, but he lets the mouse go.
A few days later, the lion is caught in a net. He cannot escape. The mouse hears him and comes quickly. It bites the net and helps the lion get free.

My favourite story is "The Tortoise and the Hare".
One day, a fast hare laughs at a slow tortoise. The tortoise feels sad but says, "Let’s have a race." The hare agrees and laughs again.
The race begins. The hare runs very fast and soon is far ahead. He feels very confident and decides to rest under a tree. He falls asleep.
The tortoise walks slowly but does not stop. Step by step, it continues the race.
In the end, the tortoise passes the sleeping hare and reaches the finish line first.
This story teaches us that
we should not be proud
and that slow and steady wins the race.

Our favorite story is “The Story of the Donut”
Once upon a time there was an old woman and an old man. One day they decided to knead and bake a DONUT. After they had prepared it, they put it on the window to cool. The donut being faster jumped out of the window, leaving only a trace behind it. While doing so, it was caught by a bear who wanted to eat it, but the donut being cunning by nature and considering itself a mogul, sang a serenade to the bear and “took it out of the station”… and so on. You know the story. It reached the fox who, listening to the donut’s odes, put it on his nose and ATE IT.

One day, Zeus and Hermes disguised themselves as poor travelers and wandered through a village, asking for food and a place to rest. Every wealthy door was slammed in their faces. Finally, they reached a tiny, crumbling shack belonging to an elderly couple, Baucis and Philemon. Though they had almost nothing, they welcomed the strangers with open arms. They shared their last bit of wine, their only bread, and even tried to sacrifice their pet goose to feed their guests.
Touching their hearts with this kindness, Zeus revealed his true identity. He offered to grant them any wish. They didn't ask for gold or power. Instead, they asked to never be parted.
When they grew very old, Zeus turned them into two trees—an Oak and a Linden—growing from the same trunk. Their branches intertwined forever, whispering in the wind.

THE UGLY DUCKLING

The mother duck patiently waited for her eggs to hatch. When the time came, the ducklings began to emerge. But the last and largest egg wouldn't crack. Finally, the white shell of the egg cracked. The small head of a duckling, grayer and different from the others, appeared. Looking at the newborn, the mother duck said affectionately, "I hope it changes." Time passed, but the duckling's color was still gray. All the animals in the henhouse mocked it, calling it "the ugly ducklingThe poor duckling was so unhappy that it finally decided to go far away. It walked all day, and when night came, it was very tired and took a break. Hunger on one side, fear on the other... but since there was nothing it coulddo, it soon fell into a deep sleep. The next morning, it opened its eyes to the sound of water and realized it had spent the night by a small lake where wild ducks were having a wild time. It was preparing to introduce itself to these noisy friends when suddenly it was startled by the sound of a gunshot.
Without wasting any time, it ran away. Before long, the little duckling found itself on a farm. The old woman who owned the farm fed it and let it sleep by the fire, but the duckling left there too, hoping to find a lake.☐ He wandered aimlessly for days , searching for a lake. Finally, he reached the shore of a lake, learning to live alone. Day by day, the duckling grew bigger and bigger on the lakeshore. Without realizing it, his appearance changed. He sighed as he watched the swans pass by, admiring their noble bearing and beauty. In the spring, a flock of swans came to the lakeshore to build their nests. They approached to meet the ugly duckling, but he considered himself too ugly and coarseto be friend these graceful birds. Suddenly, he saw his reflection in the water."What is it !..." He realized he had transformed into a beautiful swan. He joined the flock of swans and lived happily ever after.
