"Becker's Scary Tales To Tell While Camping"

THE FIRST TALE: VOICES AT NIGHT
There was once a normal kid named Sherman. Sherman was an ordinary boy that would do anything a boy would do, one night, he went to bed, expecting a normal night as everyone would. His parents went downstairs to their rooms, and Sherman went upstairs to his room. At 9:00 PM, as he was reading a book in his bed, he smelt a terrible smell, like rotten flesh. He reached for his cologne when he heard a low and cracky voice, "Don't get out of bed." It said. Sherman instantly hid under the covers and covered himself with stuffed animals, probably as anyone would do. "I can still see you." The voice echoed. "Who are you?!" Sherman asked in a scared voice, tears running down his cheeks. The voicedidn't reply. Sherman fell to sleep, but as he did, a creature from below licked its lips. The second night, Sherman hid under the covers again. "You can't hide." The voice told Sherman. "Stop stalking me! Who are you?!" Shouted Sherman. The voice replied "Something with intentions." "What are your intentions?!" Sherman yelled. "Finding food." The voice simply replied. Sherman was about to step out of bed and run downstairs to his parents when a loud thump shook the house. Sherman's parents downstairs just shook it off and thought it was their neighbors having a party. "Stepping out of bed may be the last thing you do." The voice told Sherman. Sherman quickly hid under the covers again. As nights passed, the voice haunted Sherman even more, and a foul odor smelt worse day by day. One night, everything changed. Sherman was in bed hiding under his covers, he did that often now, when he suddenly got an idea. "Do you hate light?" Sherman asked. "I'm not going to answer that." Replied the voice. Instantly, Sherman turned on his light. A siren-like shriek burst from underneath the bed as blood poured out from under. Sherman didn't look under there, but he assumed the creature was well dead. Sherman’s dad ran upstairs to check on Sherman, even a father like him heard the shriek! When Sherman’s dad ran into Sherman’s room, all the blood and guts had suddenly disappeared. “What the hell was all that screaming? It did not sound like a human at all!” Yelled Sherman’s dad. Sherman pointed under the bed and told his dad the story of what happened, the thud, the voice, the smell. When Sherman’s dad looked under the bed, his skin turned pale, and he froze stiff. He stayed like that, in that position, without blinking, for an entire month. THE SECOND TALE: SHED ALL OVER
There was a kid named Sam. Sam was not an average kid. He was a lazy, chubby 13 year old that loved to watch TV in his spare time. On one particular night, his parents were doing "last minute shopping" leaving Sam alone in his house. He was watching a movie when he heard a loud thump in the kitchen, so he walked into there and found a skillet on the floor, with hair all over it. Sam wasn't scared one bit, he just thought it was a giant rat or something. That idiot walked back into the living room and turned on another movie. He was about 15 minutes in when he heard another thump, and it came from down the hallway. So Sam, now intrigued, got up and walked into the hallway, which was covered from the ceiling, wall, and floor with hair and fur. Sam heard another thump, but it was from his room this time, so he opened the door and found that his bed was flipped upside down, all of his stuff was broken, and there were claw marks on the walls. Sam was scared now, so he turned on the light and grabbed his father's walking stick (for protection). He looked around his room but found no answer to whatever may have caused this. So he went back out and found that there was drool all over the hallway. So Sam walked through, tried to avoid all that disgusting drool, and held the stick above his head, ready to swing it in-case he wasn't alone in his house. Then, the lights flickered, and turned off. Sam felt a tug on his leg, then he felt humanoid hands pull on him, and he was pulled into the back of the hallway. He threw the stick behind himself, which caused screaming and pain to whatever pulled him. Sam ran into the kitchen, when suddenly he heard a window break, and instantly his parents came home. The front door slammed shut.
"Sam?" his mother called from the entryway.
Sam stood frozen in the middle of the hallway, gripping the counter so hard his knuckles turned white. His heart pounded in his chest. "Sam, where are you?" his father asked.
Sam noticed something strange. His father never dragged his feet when he walked. Tonight, every step scraped against the floor. Sam cautiously peeked around the corner. His parents stood at the end of the hallway. For a moment, relief washed over him. Then he noticed the fur. Tiny strands of dark hair clung to his mother's sweater. More was tangled in his father's sleeves. His father's pant leg was torn, and there was a fresh red mark on his shin.
Exactly where Sam had thrown the walking stick.
His stomach dropped. "Mom?" he whispered. His father looked down the hallway toward Sam's room.
"What happened here?" he asked.
The question sounded genuine. But neither parent seemed surprised by the claw marks. Neither asked about the fur. Neither asked about the drool smeared across the walls. And the story ends there, because there is not enough information to tell us what happened next. THE THIRD TALE: SOMETHING IN THE SOD
In 1860, during the time of settlers moving to American lands and building houses out of sod and other things, there was a man and his wife, they had built their sod house a year ago, and they were living a happy life. There was a village close to here, and the doctor's hut was less than a mile away. One night, the walls started moving and shaking—like jello—kind of. The two were in a deep sleep. Then something, humanoid, with pale white skin, leapt from the walls. It stalked the couple before selecting the one it should "use". The other day, the man's wife was acting very strange, her eyes were much longer, and when she talked, her mouth would stretch about half a meter. "I'm craving sugar." She said to her husband. "I thought you were allergic to sugar." Replied the man. "Perhaps I'd want to see if you'd notice." Replied the wife. The man gave his wife some sugar. "It's the last we have, I'll need to go down to the village today and get some more." Said the man. "Oh—go you little flea! Run off my darling!" Replied the wife. The man was puzzled, he knew his wife did not like talking about fleas, it gave her goosebumps, and she did not like to say 'darling' either, because it reminded her of the time she accidentally ran over a deer with her wagon. "How long have we been married?" Asked the man. "Long enough." Replied the wife. "What's our horse's name?" Asked the man. "The brown or black one?" Asked the wife. "We have one, and it is white." Replied the man. Later, that day, the man promised his wife he'd go down to get more sugar, but he actually went to the doctor's hut to get some help, and see what the heck was happening with his wife. "Your 'wife' is not your wife." Said the doctor. "What do you mean?" Asked the man. "From what I know," Said the doctor with a sigh, "Is that the thing you've been hanging out with all day is not your wife, it is a robber of the skin, a creature, and tonight, it will eat you in your sleep." The man's eyes widened. "How do I stop this thing??" He yelled. The doctor gave the man a bottle full of purple liquid. "Pretend to be asleep, when the skinwalker widens its mouth to eat you, throw the bottle into its mouth as quickly as you can!" The doctor told the man. "My loved ones were plundered by one long ago." The man obeyed. When he got home, he told his 'wife' or what he knew as a "Skinwalker" that they had run out of sugar at the market. "I'll ask the doctor" Replied the 'wife' in anger. She smiled without showing her teeth. The moment the door shut, the sound of footsteps disappeared. Instead, came The rapid scraping of hands and feet across the dirt. The man begged himself not to look outside the window. Since the doctor knew the wife was a skinwalker, only one walked out alive. About two hours later, the man heard knocking on his door, when he opened it, he saw the doctor. "I got the situation all taken care of, you have no more skinwalkers." Said the doctor. Almost instantly, the doctor's mouth stretched open, and his eyes turned hollow, the man knew this was not the doctor, but the skinwalker. The man threw the bottle into the skinwalker's mouth. "You shouldn't have done that" The skinwalker said repeatedly as it was melting into purple goo and its face warped into a cucumber-like shape. Eventually, there was no more skinwalker, only purple goo on the ground. The man was left terrified for the rest of his life. THE FOURTH TALE: THE LIVING MASK
There were two friends walking home from school one night, one was Amiir, and the other was Gordon. As they were walking down the street, Gordon asked Amiir something; "You wanna come over to my house for a sleepover?" But when Amiir turned around, no one was there. This terrified Amiir, but he continued walking home. Then he noticed a strange man ahead of him, with a creepy mask on. "Why are you stalking me?" Asked Amiir. The man stayed silent, but then slowly started walking towards Amiir with his hands at his sides. Amiir started screaming, and screaming until the man said "Shut up, bro." and took off his mask. It was Gordon! Amiir yelled at Gordon for terrifying him like that, then Gordon threw the mask on the ground and walked home. "Stupid mask..." Said Amiir as he walked into his garage. A few moments later, something rose from the ground, something flat, something rubber, something smiling.
Later, when Amiir was watching TV in his garage, and his dad was fast asleep on the couch, Amiir saw a smiling face in the garage window, that seemed to be staring at him. Amiir rubbed his eyes and looked again, but there was no face, so Amiir thought it was just his imagination.
Amiir is pretty dumb, just like Sam from a few stories earlier, so Amiir went to sleep after watching "Swapped". When Amiir woke up, it was still midnight, but he was on the roof! Amiir was very scared. "How the hell did I get up here?!" He yelled. Something flew above his head. "Must've been a bat." He said to himself. But the thing flew around him in circles. "Okay, this is kind of freaking me out." So he hit the thing with his hand and the perfect time, and it stopped flying, and it fell down the roof. "That..." Amiir paused for a moment, "felt like rubber!" He carefully climbed to the other side of the roof and looked on the ground, and on the ground, there was a smiling rubber mask. "That's the mask my friend scared me with." He whispered. "Bah, must've put a drone in it!" He said to brush his fear off himself. "But... Why am I on the roof?" "Because I put you there." Said a low and cracky voice. "Who said that?!" Shouted Amiir. "I am known by many names, маска, 面具, قناع, but, that's not important. You called me stupid." Replied the voice. "I wouldn't call some old man stupid, you've got the wrong person." Said Amiir. "Look at the ground again." Replied the low, cracky voice. Amiir crawled to the other side of the roof, looked at the ground, and there was a smiling rubber mask, but with eyeballs and teeth this time. It was staring directly at Amiir. Amiir's jaw dropped, and he rubbed his eyes. When he looked again, the mask was gone. Amiir thought he was hallucinating, since it was very late, then he heard a window crack, a gun fire, and the sound of a beer shattering on the ground. Amiir got down from the roof, and walked into the garage, where he found his dad wearing the mask. "Dad, that was not a funny prank." Said Amiir. "It was not a prank." Said his father, in the same, low, cracky voice. Amiir realized that the figure wasn't his dad, but the mask controlling him. "Get off my father, now!" Shouted Amiir. The mask opened its mouth and smiled, but without showing its teeth, then it got off the father and flew fastly towards Amirr, which made him flinch. When he opened his eyes, the mask was gone. This night terrified him, and he never went to sleep the same again. THE FIFTH AND LAST TALE: CARBY CABIN
Way back in the 1930s, there was a bearded american logger named Motaaz Carby. Motaaz didn't like the public, so he isolated himself and lived in the woods, he built a large log house. He didn't live alone, his brother, Wilson, lived there too. They lived there for years. One day, Motaaz decided to go fetch some maple syrup, and Wilson agreed to stay and take care of the house. So Motaaz went to get some maple syrup, and when he returned to the house, he found that his brother was laying dead on the floor with two long fang marks in his neck. Motaaz couldn't tell what it was, since everything looked nice and neat. Then he realized he built an attic while making the house, and he had never checked on it since. So he went up there, and the door was open, which was weird. It had been shut for years. Motaaz went in, inspected the room, then the door shut. And he would meet the same fate his brother had. When police came to inspect the house, they found the corpses were right next to the fireplace, the officers just blamed that Motaaz and Wilson were too lazy to keep the door shut, so a pack of wolves came in and bite them, but that was not true at all, and no one knew how they disappeared. Their house was still so nice, that the government turned it into a cabin people could rent for the night. Strange things happened in the cabin, and everyone who went in there would report strange things, and three people also went missing after going in. Police just rumoured that the people went to look for a better cabin. One time, a ranger, a farmer, and a hunter, all cousins, rented the cabin for the night, and when the ranger went into the attic, he didn't come out. The hunter, annoyed, opened the door, and collapsed, he was dead. The farmer reported this to the police, and they saw nothing wrong with the body, so they suspected a broken heart, like a divorce or something. Another time, a man and his dog rented the cabin, and the attic door was still wide open, the dog, excited to explore the place, looked in the attic, and jumped out the window. The man reported this to the authorities, but they ruled it as an "anti-dog spray" that Motaaz and Wilson sprayed years before dying. So now the cabin was a pet-free cabin. Then there was a crook, who wanted to rob the cabin of its antiques to sell and get money. So he went into the cabin, put lots of things in a trash bag, and when he went into the attic, something happened. The next day, everything was back where it was, and there was no proof a robber was ever there—besides the ski-mask by the fireplace. Years went by, and people were still reporting things, so a construction team bought the place and tore it down, while they were tearing it down, something kept from the attic, attacked four workers, and leapt into the forest.
