Biz bu projede sadece bitki yetiştirmiyoruz; Her sayfada, kendi sınırlamalarının aşılmasının ve sürdürülen sessiz dil öğrenmenin gerçekleştirilebilir.

Farklı ellerden dökülen kelimeler, farklı şehirlerden gelen fikirler, yer altında birleşen o güçlü kökler gibi bize bağlıyor. Bu kitap bitti, sayfalar kapanacak belki; ama zihinlerimize ekleyeceğimiz o 'merak' ve 'dayanışma' temelleri, bir yaşam boyu gölgelendirecek dev çınarlara dönüşecek.

The Giant in the Palm of Your Hand: The Seed

Have you ever considered that when you hold a tiny, lifeless-looking, hard seed in your hand, you are actually holding the world's greatest miracle? That tiny shell, which appears silent and motionless from the outside, holds within it a vast forest, thousands of fruits, and most importantly, the "future."

The seed is like a time machine that nature has used for thousands of years. It remains dormant until the appropriate conditions arise, that is, until it comes into contact with the right soil, water, and temperature.  This waiting period can sometimes last a few weeks,

and at other times, hundreds of years. When it awakens, the delicate sprout emerging from within that hard shell displays a life force that will crack concrete and move huge rocks.

The small seed balls we held in our palms today are not merely made of soil and plants; they are our silent letters sent to the future. With every seed we planted in our schoolyard, we entrusted the shadow, the breath, and the abundance of the years to come to the soil.

Sıfır Atık; israfın önlenmesini, kaynakların daha verimli kullanılmasını ve atık miktarının en aza indirilmesini hedefleyen bir çevre yaklaşımıdır. Bu anlayış, yalnızca geri dönüşüm yapmakla sınırlı değildir; aynı zamanda tüketim alışkanlıklarını değiştirmeyi ve atık oluşmadan önce önlem almayı da kapsar.

Türkiye’de bu konuda önemli adımlardan biri, Sıfır Atık Projesi ile atılmıştır. Bu proje; bireylerin, kurumların ve toplumun genelinin çevreye karşı daha bilinçli hareket etmesini teşvik eder.

Every seed falls into the soil as a hope for the future. This is where its first arduous journey begins. It meets the soil without knowing if it will find the right moisture or if the right conditions will be met. Despite all the hardships it faces on its journey, it knows that if it takes root in that soil, the oxygen it produces in the future will bring joy to our lungs. As it grows green, it will fill everyone’s hearts with hope. It will be a beacon of light for a pristine world for future generations. The seed will be hope—for all humanity and for nature.

Ormanlar, çok sayıda ağacın ve canlıların bir arada yaşadığı doğal alanlardır. Ormanlarda ağaçlar, çiçekler, mantarlar, kuşlar, böcekler ve birçok hayvan yaşar. Ormanlar dünyamız için çok önemlidir. Çünkü temiz hava üretir, yağmur sularını toprağa ulaştırır ve canlılara yuva olur.

Ağaçların büyümesi küçük bir tohumla başlar. Tohumlar, bitkilerin ve ağaçların yeni nesiller oluşturmasını sağlar. Küçücük bir tohum zamanla büyüyerek büyük bir ağaca dönüşebilir.

Peki, ormanlarda tohumlar toprağa nasıl ulaşır?

Doğada bunun için birçok farklı yol vardır. Bazı tohumlar ise yağmur suları sayesinde taşınır. Akarsular ve yağmur suları tohumları toprağa ulaştırabilir.
