This is Byte! Byte is a robot with Artificial Intelligence, or AI. Basically, AI is when we program computers to think like people do. It’s not a real brain, but it’s a very smart piece of software that helps Byte solve problems.

"Byte isn't born smart he has to train just like we do for sports. We feed him tons of data, like thousands of pictures of dogs. This helps him learn what a tail or a snout looks like so he can recognize any dog he sees!"

We have to be careful, though. If we only show Byte pictures of Golden Retrievers, he might think Poodles aren't dogs. This is called bias. It’s important to give AI fair information so it doesn't make unfair decisions.
