Once upon a time, there were three little kittens: Mary, Olive, and Dylan. Mary was white and sleepy all the time. Olive was a fluffy, orange tabby that liked to play. Dylan was an intelligent, brown tabby and loved to eat tuna. The three little kittens left home because they were old enough to go on their own. Mother Cat said, “Watch out for the Big Bad Snake because he likes kittens for lunch. So build a strong house to keep yourself safe.” They used to live in a backyard, but now the kittens moved to a big porch.

Mary was lazy because she was sleepy. She found some tuna wet food. She used it to make her house, and then she had a long nap. Suddenly, the big bad snake came. Mary was very scared. “Little kitten, little kitten, let me in," said the snake. The kitten said, “No, not by the fur of my furry, fur, fur.” “Then I’ll give you a bite and slither out of sight,“ said the snake. He bit the house, it broke in half and it collapsed. 

Mary ran away as quickly as she could because the big bad snake was on her tail. The house was broken so Mary was sad and ran to Olive’s house.

Olive found a scarf and snuggled with it. She decided to make her house out of it. She used four chopsticks and the scarf. Mary was running toward her and told her all about what happened. Then the big bad snake came and said, “Little kitten, little kitten, let me in.” “No, not by the fur of my furry, fur, fur,” said Olive. “Then I’ll give you a bite and slither out of sight," said the snake. The snake bit the house and he ripped it apart. Mary and Olive ran to Dylan‘s house.

    Dylan found some cardboard and lots of it so he made his house with three layers of cardboard. He used strong glue to stick it together and there you go. Dylan listened to Mother Cat and made a strong house to be safe in.
