FLORENCIA
Feeling of a new life
I feel like all I need to do is leave. Leave this country, discover new places, meet new people, and give myself the chance to write my own story from scratch. Sometimes, everything that’s happening in Colombia weighs too heavily on me, and I know for sure that what I need is out there, waiting for me.
There’s only one year left. Just a little longer, and I’ll be able to leave this chapter behind to start a new one, full of dreams, goals, and hope. I know I’ll be successful, that I’ll build a life full of love, joy, and healthy, genuine relationships. I imagine myself happy, fulfilled, at peace. And then I’ll also be able to give my family what they so deserve, to give them back a little of everything they’ve done for me.
This longing isn’t an escape; it’s a search. A search for the freest, most radiant version of myself.

CRISTÓBAL
One afternoon, I was walking around Medellín near El Poblado, listening to music and thinking about school. Suddenly, I saw Blessd and Kris R outside a recording studio. At first, I thought, “No way, this can’t be real!” but then Blessd smiled at me.
He asked, “Hey, did you ever sing in English?” I answered, “Not really, but I’m trying to learn.” Kris R laughed and said, “Well, today is your lucky day. Do you want to come with us to a concert?”
I was shocked, but I said yes immediately. On the way there, we stopped to buy some water because it was hot in the city. Blessd told me, “You’ll feel better after practicing a little.” I was nervous, and I said, “I don’t think I can do it,” but they told me, “We’re gonna help you.”
At the concert, the shining lights and cool shoes of the dancers looked amazing. My friend recorded everything, and it was probably the best night of my life. The next day, everyone at school was surprised when I told them the story.

MARIANA ATEHORTÚA
I´m sure my sister and me had the strangert trip ever. We were waiting at the metro station after training when a man dropped his bag near. My sister was getting nervous because we need to go fast, but i told her to relax.
Suddenly, a little dog jumped out of the bag and started running around the city platform. Everyone was laughing while the owner tried to catch it. Our Daddy helped us block the exit, and finally the dog stopped beside a shiny snack machine. The man say thanks to us and said he didn’t know how the dog could escape so easily. A worker announced that the nextday train would be delayed because of the rain was very hard

Beyond the Echo
Some folks think, yet they just agree,
Repeating old ideas mechanically.
I’m gonna say what worries me most:
We share opinions like a social post.
Questioning takes effort, time, and care,
But copying thoughts is a lighter bear.
A kid in class said, “What oughta we do?
If they all copy, I might too.”
We break the boxes of the status quo,
And listen to the truths we need to know.
If we stop blending into the crowd,
And dare to question ideas out loud,
The world could change someday, somehow,
If we think for ourselves and act right now.

LUCIANO
At the party Ramón couldn’t stop lookin´ at Luciana Guzmán. The music was gettin’ louder, people were dancin’, and he was already drinkin’ too much. “I can’t believe you came,” he said, smilin’ while holdin’ his cup of wa’er. Luciana laughed and told him, “Don’t get too drunk tonight.”
A couple o’ minutes later, Ramón was talkin’ faster, flirtin´ without even thinking about the consequences. You’re pretty,” he said, gettin’ closer while the lights kept flashin’. She teased him, saying, You’re maybe gonna regret this tomorrow.” Ramón didn’t care. The party was amazing, the DJ was hittin’ hard with the basses, and everybody was screamin’ over the music. Now, midnight arrived while they were standin’ outside under the cold air, Ramón smiled, he’s a beast flirting, and now he knows what’s next; Luciana pulled him closer, and they kissed

A trip in the airport
The city was loud and my car wasn't fast enough, but that wasn't gonna stop me. When I got there, there were busses in the door bloking the way, but that didn't stop me either, I needed to get in the plane. Making my way through the airport I saw a bunch of cameras around a store I had to cross, !ughh, so many obstacles!. After crossing the camera scandal, I had to find gate 24, wich was just a couple of meters away, and what where the chances?, a group of old ladies crossed in front of me. This was defenitly the trip it self!

LUPITA
MARTÍN
When I was like nine, I played for a soccer team called Semillas Siderenses. One Saturday, it started raining super hard right before our match, but nobody cared because we were kids and just wanted to play.
Five minutes into the game, my friend Mateo tried to do a skill move and completely slipped. Everybody started laughing, even the other team. The coach was yelling, but we honestly couldn’t stop. A few minutes later, I got the ball and thought I was Messi or something. I ran past one defender, then another, and right when I was about to shoot, I fell too.
I just stayed on the ground for a second while everybody laughed. Even some parents on the side were clapping and making jokes. One of my teammates came over and said, “Bro, what was that?” and honestly, I started laughing too.

SOFÍA GÓMEZ - THE CANDY HOUSE
Hansel and Gretel were lost in the forest. They were really hungry and tired. They walked a lot, when they saw a LITTLE house made of candy.

They walked to the NEXT DOOR and a old witch opened it slowly. She said, “Do you WANT TO come inside?” , The witch invited them to spend the night. And they enter without thinking.
Her voice sounded soft, but the witch was dangerous.

Done in another book.
The secret of the best Basque cheesecake in city is in my family's kitchen. They always say it's not just the perfect bake, but that green, crunchy touch of pistachios. Yesterday, I decided to replicate their masterpiece.
While mixing ingredients, I watched the clock waiting for sunset to post a story on Instagram. Taking it out, the aroma flooded the house. The surface was toasted, almost burnt, but the center remained incredibly creamy.
Right when they arrived, I cut the first slice. The contrast between absolute creaminess and the subtle crunch of the nut was magical. My friends devoured every piece in minutes, swearing it was a heavenly cake. At the end of the day, seeing the empty pan, I knew the traditional recipe had reached a new level. We're definitely baking another one next week

VIOLETA
I've been told that everything will pass, and that the situations I've had my mind for so long won't matter later in my life. But sometimes I'll catch myself thinkin' that maybe it won't be that way.
Still I don't mean that the only things I'll feel are sadness or happines. It's kinda dumb to think about everything so reducted, so polarized.
I also don't want this little text to look sad or anything, I wanted to reflect about feelings, 'cause maybe, after all, they're the only things that we'll actually be able to care about in the future, when everything's done.
