The Olympics were held in Berlin, the capital of Germany. The stadium was huge and decorated with Nazi flags and symbols. Everywhere you looked the posters showed Germany as a strong united and almost picture perfect country, but we all know that that wasn't the reality of it, there was much darker plans behind all of it.

Who?

 The host of the games was Adolf Hitler, the leader of Nazi Germany, who wanted to show off his country’s power. Among the athletes was Jesse Owens, an African American track star from the United States, whose speed and courage would soon steal the spotlight.

Hitler wanted the Olympics to show the world that Germany was strong and united under Nazi rule. He used propaganda like posters, speeches, films, and even the games themselves to spread his message. The Nazis tried to control what people saw and believed. But Owens success showed that no amount of propaganda could hide the truth about human equality and courage.
