The grand old trees Are dressed in red, While little leaves Go off to bed.
They dance and twirl In chilly air, And leave a blanket Everywhere.
But we are warm, The fire is bright, The sleepy kitty Naps till night.
A cup of cocoa, A cozy chair, Grand Autumn’s warmth Is everywhere!
Grab your basket, partner, Come along with me! Look at all that fruit Hangin' from the tree!
Big and round and red, Crisp and mighty sweet, Snappin' off the branch For a cozy autumn treat.
We'll bake 'em in a pie, Or stew 'em in a pot, And drink some apple cider That's steamin' nice and hot!
The grandest prize of autumn, Shinin' in the sun, Workin' in the orchard Is tons of cozy fun!
A little bit sour? No, sweet as can be! The juicy green pear On the neighborin' tree.
The Apples and Pears Used to argue and fight, But under the autumn sun, Everything's right!
Shaped like a raindrop, Soft as a cloud, Makin' the orchard Mighty proud.
With cinnamon sprinkled And baked in a pan, They’re the coziest friends In the whole wide land!
Down in the dirt Where the vines twist and twine, The pumpkin and squashes Are looking mighty fine!
Big, round, and orange, And heavy to boot, The grandest ol' patch Of autumn time fruit!
Some squashes are yellow, Some bumpy and green, The coziest colors That you've ever seen.
They sit in the field As the chilly winds pass, Just snugglin' down In the tall autumn grass!
When the autumn wind blows chilly, And the summer petals fall, The brave little pansies Are the toughest of them all!
With purple and yellow, And velvet so bright, They smile at the frost From morning till night.
Little velvet faces, Lookin' up at the sky, Wavin' at the autumn clouds As they float on by.
They don't mind the cold, They don't mind the breeze, Just cozy little smiles Underneath the grand trees!
Growing in the gravel, Growing on the stone, The brave little Stonecrop Never stands alone!
With thick, cozy leaves And blossoms of pink, She’s tougher than the winter frost, Or anything you think!
While other petals shrivel up When chilly breezes blow, The Stonecrop holds her head up high To put on one last show.
A sturdy little sweetheart, A grand autumn prize, Smiling in the garden Underneath the cloudy skies!
