Chapter 1: The Mysterious Robot and the Unfinished Bridge

      One sunny morning, Mert was sighing over his challenging tablet assignment: "How will this knowledge we learn at school actually benefit us in real life?" he thought,Just then, the tablet screen lit up, and a cute, metallic blue robot appeared before him. This was Robot Bridge, the hero of our project!

       "Hello Mert! Knowledge transforms into a giant bridge when shared" the robot said. Just then, a path of light appeared in the room but stopped halfway. Robot Bridge smiled: ""This bridge is unfinished. For it to continue, children from different countries must connect and share their knowledge." Pointing at the computer screen, it was now time for Mert to reach out to his friends in Europe.

       Mert quickly opened the video call, and one by one, children from other countries appeared on the screen: Ana from Romania, Lukas from Lithuania, Zofia from Poland, and Eleni from Greece.

-"Hello!" said Ana, smiling. "How can we help you?"

-"I need to make a 30 cm long bridge using natural materials and some geometric shapes. How can I do that?"

    We made a small bridge out of wooden sticks at school! I think I can help you with a drawing. It includes triangles and rectangles, and wood is a natural material. What do you think?"

"That sounds like a good idea. What measuring tool can I use?"

"—You can use a ruler for a bridge like this," said Lukas. "That way you can measure the wooden sticks to be exactly 30 cm long."Just then, Eleni spoke excitedly:

"—Wait! I just received a coded message!"

Mert leaned closer to the screen, curious. The message read:

"TRIANGLE + RECTANGLE = SECRET PATH"

"—That must be a code!" said Zofia. "Maybe if we make the bridge in the right shape, we can find the secret answer."

The children carefully examined the message. Ana smiled and said:

"—The triangles strengthen the bridge, and the rectangles form the base. The secret code could be 'balance'!"

Mert excitedly took notes. Now he could both build the bridge and decipher the secret message.

     Mert looked at his friends and smiled. At that moment, children from different countries started sharing their ideas. Some spoke Turkish, some Romanian, and others Greek or English. Even though their languages were different, they tried to understand one another with kind words, drawings, and gestures.

     Maria drew a small bridge on paper and pointed at the missing parts. Ali carefully explained the idea using simple English words. Lukas used hand movements to show where the pieces should go. Soon, everyone began smiling and working together.

Eleni happily said, “We may speak different languages, but teamwork is our common language!”

       The children listened to each other patiently and helped whenever someone did not understand. Step by step, the bridge became stronger. Mert realized something important:

“Empathy is the moment when children who speak different languages smile at each other and help one another understand.”"Thanks to their kindness, respect, and teamwork, the construction of the secret bridge was continuing rapidly, and the children were sharing the joy of this wonderful collaboration together."
