To people who have long reading stamina.

Hiiii, first I wanna say, Hi to everyone, this is a project that I’ve been working on for years and I’m deciding to share part 1-21 of this in draft 4, hope you enjoy! It is kinda cringe so it’s okay if you don’t like it, and I started working on this since age 8. Projects, *winks* and it’s unfinished so it’s not official and stuff.
Part 1: Darkening Awakening
In the school building, everyone was enjoying the start of a beautiful spring day. Students hummed and chattered in the halls, teachers worked on their lessons, and the school janitors walked around cheerfully. No one knew how today would be the last day of peace. Avalon was an 11 year old boy with golden brown hair. His chocolate brown eyes glimmered as he picked up his schoolbooks and breathed in the fresh minty scent of springtime. “Time for Class!” He heard his teachers say. Avalon put the last books in his schoolbag, reading the name titles. His friend, Abel waited for him. “Math, Science, Social Studies, Intermediate Spanish, Language, Art.”
“Avalon, hurry up!”
“Alright wait! I’m coming.”
Avalon beamed at Abel as he went into the gray lift and shared a glance.
“Bye!”
”See you at recess!”
Avalon checked his watch. 8:05AM. Avalon’s eyebrows scrunched up high. “Huh?” He stared at his timetable. Avalon blinked. He felt blood draining from his face. “PE, in the rooftop. 8:10AM.”
Avalon didn’t hesitate a single second. He dashed through the narrow white halls, sped to his lockers, his fingers fumbling for his key. At last! It slipped through his fingers, and he crashed down, trying to catch it. He unlocked his locker and traded his backpack for a small slim white bag, labeled PE Essentials. He ran towards the stairs and dashed up, panting for breath as he went up several flights. When he got to the rooftop, it was already 8:14, his hair was messed up, and his face was a sheen of hot red. Avalon’s lungs burned as he coughed and spluttered for breath. “I-i.. Forgot.” He told his PE Teacher, who was staring Avalon down, his
eyebrows narrowed and nostrils flaring. Avalon squirmed.
Part 2: Human In Disguise
Alea narrowed her eyes at Avalon as she watched him flinch and squirm next to Mr. Mark, the PE teacher. He’s pathetic. She thought. Why have I ever chose him? She thought. Humans lived in a strange place. They rage wars and go violent in times. Sometimes. They kill.
Alea felt someone staring at her, their eyes searing and burning. Alea turned around carefully, but all the students were laughing and giggling and chatting with each other. Alea gulped. She adjusted her red ponytail carefully, pretended to tie her silky blue shoelaces, and pulled out a shard of mirror from her pockets. Her eye drops didn’t fade yet, her eyes were still blue. Alea tucked the shard back in her pocket. “Focus, Alea.” She told herself. Her glance shifted from the students to Avalon. She murmured commands under her breath, and beckoned a nearby wind to carry it to
Avalon’s bedroom. Secrets were blown on the breeze and beckoned towards Avalon.
Part 3: Shimmering Sight
As soon as Avalon got into his bedroom, he swung his backpack onto his blue chair, then collasped on his four poster bed, decorated with little stitches of rockets and stars. A small, soft fluffy brown teddy bear was sitting on his bed. Avalon groaned as he slumped into his bed, crawled towards his pillow and flopped down on the bed like a soft feathery silk cloth. He lay there for a couple few minutes till he finally heard his mother’s silky sweet voice. “Avalon?” Her voice was pressed with worry and urgency. Avalon raised his head to look at his beautiful mother. His kind, sweet mother. “Yes?” He whispered, meeting his mother’s dark midnight blue eyes. She had clear skin, dark black wavy hair, and was named Lia. She reached to Avalon, placing warm and chocolate cookies on a wooden table next to his bed. She sat herself gently on Avalon’s bed
as Avalon reached for the cookies, grabbing one, and shoving one into his mouth. The cookies were enriched with heat, with a hint of marshmallow and sweet sugar puffs. He crunched in silence, trying to relax and avoid Lia’s gaze. “So.” She said. “About school, how was it?” Avalon shoved another cookie into his mouth, trying not to choke. “Good,” He finally said, forcing the word firmly as if nothing happened.
“Avalon, listen-“.
“I don’t want to talk about it.”
”Please, Avalon.”
”JUST SHUT UP!”
”Mr. Mark sent a gmail home.”
”oh.”
The rest of the conversation followed with silence. Total silence. The satisfying sounds of crunching the beautiful, delicious cookies were gone. Avalon’s insides turned sour, his breathing went tense.
Lia coughed, breaking the silence. “Well, I guess I’ll just leave you be.” She tucked Avalon into his blankets and kissed his cheeks. “Good Night,
Avalon”. She glanced at him with her blue eyes, the intensity of her stare was hot.” Still, Avalon just lay in his bed, and squeezed shut his eyes, mumbling a good night to his mother.” “Good night, Lia.” The lights that were glowing through the doorway dimmed, and the door was shut. Avalon hugged his teddy bear tight, his cheeks a red sheen of blush. He opened his eyes again, stared at the blank, pitch black darkness, his mind a mess. He squeezed them tight again, hoping that he would get to sleep.
Part 4: whispers on the wind
Avalon tossed and turned around, clutching his pillow, then moaned. He stared at the pitch black darkness. He clutched his teddy bear tighter. For some stupid reason, he couldn’t sleep. He was kept awake through the whole night by the sound of rushing wind. Avalon felt a prickle down his spine. Trembling, he turned over, closed his eyes, and focused on the whispering words that he felt. Hide. Avalon. Lia. Protect. From. Everlon.
Yes. Princess. Don’t. Tell. Adeline! Dead! Everlon. Monster.
Avalon gasped at the mention of Lia’s name, scrunched up his face, trying to decipher the words. could it be a secret message with harming intentions? If so, Avalon wasn’t letting that happen, determined, Avalon tried to fit the words like a jigsaw puzzle in his brain. Finally, after a long while, he fit it into what seemed like the order.
“Hide Avalon, Lia, Protect him from Everlon.” “Yes, princess.” “Don’t tell him.” “Adeline’s dead.” “Everlon! You’re a master!”
As if those words were summoned to him by fate, Avalon started to make out high pitched female screams, baritones, and Lia. His own mother’s. His own MOther’s voice. Lia. Avalon felt his heart shattering as more whispers were revealed on the wind. How could his mother do this to him? His legs wobbled even though he wasn’t standing up.
Avalon trembled as he pulled himself away from his blankets slowly, the chilly night air frosting his face. His hands slowly reached for the cold doorknob, and he twisted it, opening the door with a creak. The first
thing he saw in the hall was a girl sitting, her flushed face in soft black curls. Avalon trembled as he whispered, “Lia.” His mother raised her head, alert and immediate, her gaze moving to Avalon, her expression turning icy cold. Avalon’s brows were raised, his face full of confusion, and then the realization dawned. Avalon sucked in a shaky breath. “You were lying to me the whole time, weren’t you?” Lia stared at him, her expression turning unreadable and she morphed into someone Avalon didn’t know. “Not lying, withholding, and given your current state, how about I tell you that I was ordered to do that?.” Lia stood up coldly, her shoulders ridged as she strutted down towards Avalon, her chin slightly pointed towards the ceiling. “I’m liabell,”she whispered. “Not Lia.” Avalon stared at her, his eyebrows scrunched up for a minute, and then Avalon’s eyes widened. “You’re not my mother?” He asked, his voice even soft. Lia laughed coldly. “No silly, I am, you’ve got it all figured out, haven’t you?” She asked, her voice dripping with venom.
Part 5: Knockdown
Lia sighed as she caressed the white walls, inching closer to Avalon with each step. Avalon flinched. Lia laughed as she shot a ray of light from her right pointer finger at Avalon. Avalon froze with panic, his gaze unsure. He pressed against the wall, turning around. At the last possible second, he ducked, and the ray of light hit the wall. He sighed. Phew! But just as his horror faded, he sees the wall evaporating into delicate little teardrops which fall onto the ground. “Lia.” Avalon said. But his mother’s gaze was still stony cold, as if Avalon had it all figured out. Lia laughed, cackling, and threw back her dark black hair. “You think you have it all figured out? Don’t you? Pity that those whispers reached you. I had plans for you for the future.” With every word, Lia seemed to loom taller and closer. inch by inch, Avalon backed away, his feet trembling and his eyes widening. Lia shot a ray of light again at Avalon, and this time:
“Now, now, cut that protesting, Avalon, you know it won’t work.” Lia’s lips
curled into a wicked, dark smile as she stepped closer so that Avalon and her were face to face. Avalon never knew how tall she was until now. Lia seemed to be the tower and Avalon seemed to be the mouse. “Who even are you?” Avalon whispered, staring into her stony eyes. “You’re not my mother, then who are you?” Lia sighed, caressing his skin. Avalon flinched at her touch, trying to squirm away even more. Her touch was icy cold to the skin. Furious, his eyes glistened as he shot his fingers against the ropes, as if it would help. Without realizing what he had done, a ray of light sliced through the ropes and directly pivoted towards Lia’s feet. Lia scrambled away from him as he broke free, her eyes wide and her lips pursed. Avalon glared at her, his eyes red and puffy. “How could you do this?” He asked. But all he got was silence. The soft, strange, dangerous, yet ethereal and satisfying silence. Part of him hoped that Lia wouldn’t answer, that she would just stay silent. But the other part of him was flaking down, tearing down and built in pent-up rage and sadness. It felt like an empty black hole was swirling inside him, where he was numb but in agony at the same time. Lia stared back at him, the spark of coldness
receding with glimmers of tenderness. But the glimmers of tenderness was soon replaced by coldness as Lia moved away. “One day, you’ll see our worth, why the dark will always win.” Then Lia fled, her dress shimmering as she ran. Avalon heard the click of her high heels and in a moment of pure panic, he shot his finger towards her. A ray of light suddenly surrounded Lia and formed a brilliant, glowing bubble, it seemed to radiate with beautiful, warm energy. Lia glared at him, but before they could react, a high pitched voice interrupted them, Lia spun around, and a woman with red curls stared, wide-eyed at them, “Avalon?
Part 6: The Princess of Elements
“Princess of Elements.” Lia seemed to sneer the word as she backed away
quicker and quicker.
Avalon stared at the strange woman. She had long red curls circling around her waist, pale, dewy skin, brilliant amber eyes glowing with a bright intensity, and her rose red lips were pursed in a frown. She wore a delicate, tight fitting red dress adorned with pearls and accessories. Who is she? Avalon thought and thought, his mind buzzing around in a circle. The woman seemed familiar. Her voice suddenly snapped him out of his daze. Oh! The whispers on the wind!“You’re not going anywhere soon. We need to talk.” The woman said to Lia. With that, she snapped her fingers and a ray of light stretched across the house like a rubber band, then settled down onto the ground and formed a shield around them? That seemed like the right word to describe it. But the woman wasn’t done, she squeezed and squeezed until the trio were all together.
Avalon gasped. “Let me go! It’s her you want!” Lia shot him a side eye but the woman didn’t budge. “I’m sorry, Avalon, but this conversation concerns you.” Avalon wailed and moaned as he punched the shield. In a moment of pure desperation, he went quiet and remembered his magic!
So he pointed his finger at the shield, not knowing what was going to happen. A ray of light came from his finger and shot at the shield, but it ricocheted back into the space, Avalon dodged the ray of light and he panted for breath. The woman stared at him in shock, her amber eyes widening. “How in the world are you able to do that?” Avalon shrugged, still trembling and he tried to back away.
The woman approached him with pleading eyes, but Avalon still couldn’t trust her. She was closing in until Lia stood in her way and looked her in the eye.
“He did it naturally. I think it was his instincts kicking in.”
The “princess of elements” frowned as Lia explained. “But why on earth would that happen?” She said, glaring at Lia with a dangerous expression. Lia laughed and tossed her hair back. “Oh Alea, grow up and learn a thing or two.” Alea waved her hand and a bolt of lightening appeared, and her shoulders went stiff. “How dare you-“
Avalon immediately perked up before they could say another word. “Woah chill girls, no offense, but you have a flaring temper”, he nodded
to Alea and waved his hand at her lightening bolt, “but what on earth is going on?”
Alea shot him a peculiar look and scrunched up her brows. “Lia didn’t tell you?” She asked.
“Actually, I think it was you who told Lia not to tell in that whisper thingy.”
He said.
The realization suddenly dawned on Alea and she was about to explain but then they were distracted by a noise. They both turned around and saw Lia snapping her fingers and creating a spark of light. She smirked. “Sis, I told you not to mess with me. Just doing my job and showing you.” Avalon’s eyes widened when she said sis. Emphasis on the sis. He jerked away and glared at Alea. “Don’t tell me that this jerk is your sister.” Alea’s gaze softened and she turned away, staring at the ground but then she clapped her hands and snapped her fingers, imprisoning Lia inside a green orb and she closed her eyes. In a flash of light Lia was gone and all that remained was the fire. She snapped her fingers and the fire extinguished. Avalon gaped at her in horror. “What have you done to Lia?”
Part 7: Alea’s offer
“What have you done to Lia?” Alea knew that this was going to be a blow for Avalon, but she expected something much more. Maybe begging, crying, punching, fighting, stomping away, any of those but she didn’t think that he would just ask a question. She was really well-prepared and had a big speech, but Avalon was looking at her as if she was dangerous, as if she were a .. monster. .She looked away so Avalon couldn’t see the guilt in her eyes, but Avalon still drilled into her eyes. “-Look at my eyes!” He commanded. “However small than they might be, I couldn’t care less, look at them! See it!” Alea couldn’t resist and had to peel her own eyes open. She sighed as she stared into Avalon’s chocolate brown eyes. “Liabell Inferinla, she’s your mother right?” Avalon flinched as if she had just struck him with a mace. “Inferinla? She always told me that our last
name was William.” Alea slowly put her pale, smooth hand on Avalon’s shoulder. “We aren’t human, we are elementals.” Avalon just stared at her for a moment, and then his face grew hard and dead serious, his shoulders turned stiff. Then he burst out laughing hysterically and he clutched his stomach. “What the hell is that?” He asked, not sure what to feel. Alea stared at him, trying to mantain her calm, but inside, she was a raging tornado of frustration and anger, a bonfire from the deepest pits of hell. She blew out a breath of the anger she had been holding. “Okay. I’m actually frustrated right now, so we are going to do it the short way.” She gazed up at the sky, her amber eyes glassy and foggy, as if she were in another faraway place. “Elemental’s are human-shaped beings with unique capabilities to control the elements, and they existed far, far longer than the humans have.” She paused, her voice shaky and ancient as she reached up to the sky to gather a shimmering piece of stardust to show Avalon. He stared at her with mixed awe and wonder in his eyes, his jaw dropping open. “Elementals are on a different dimension, and there’s a villain named Everlon.” Avalon snorted but when he saw the hesitation
in Alea’s gaze, he frowned, his eyebrows arching and he scratched his head. Alea turned her gaze to him and stared at him like he had two heads. “Sorry, nervous habit.” He said sheepishly. Alea went back to her explaining. “Anyways, we existed long before humans did, and everyone was living in peace and harmony until the age of villains, starting with Morana and continuing for decades, until our current villain Everlon and they totally broke the peace and harmony called Star Sight.” She took a deep breath, cause she knew what she was going to say next would shock Avalon. “And we need your help to do it.” She held her breath as she waited for Avalon to shout, tremble, maybe even throw things at her, but you know what he did? He fainted.
Part 8: The Portal’s Glimmer
Avalon?” Alea slapped his cheeks. Tugged at his cheeks too, but Avalon stayed unconscious. She then decided to give him a good kick. Hesitating,
she dragged his body deeper into the shadows and took a deep breath. Then she pulled her feet and kicked Avalon in his stomach. He immediately straightened, clutching his stomach as he put up one shaky finger. “I think I was having a dream, where a princess apparently from another dimension approached me for help-“. He immediately stopped when he saw Alea and looked down at his stomach and back at her. Alea groaned and used her long pink nails to pinch him. He winced as a mark was left on his right shoulder. “Look, this is not a dream. And neither am I. I know this is hard to take in, but you have to understand that the world is in danger.” Her eyes flashed as she stared at Avalon’s chocolate brown glow. Avalon bit his lip as he considered her warning. He didn’t want to believe it, it was too good to be true. Probably a scammer. A side of him said. Besides, I don’t want an adventure anyway. But a teeny tiny voice in’s his head tugged at him, the one which always made him feel left out. That he didn’t fit in with the humans. That he was destined for greatness, in a different way. So he took Alea’s hand, sending jolts of heat through his body. Alea stared at him with shock, but her amber eyes hardened as
she drew her finger across the air. Sparkling trails of light flew around and soon, a shimmering golden portal appeared in front of them. Transparent golden crystals adorned the portal, and multicolored brilliant auras twinkled around. Taking a deep breath, Avalon jumped in and his world started to spin.
He found himself screaming for help as he fell and fell deeper. Blackish thorns pricked at every inch of his body, and he felt like his lungs were on fire. The thorns stuck deep into his skin, cutting down and deeper. “ALEA! HELP ME!” His response was nothing. Then a flurry of white feathers surrounded him and gently pushed the thorns out of his body. A word was whispered. Pure. Then the surroundings around Avalon changed in instant. His eyes widened and he scratched his head again, feeling pure bliss as if he was in heaven. He inhaled the honey-sweet tangs in the air, lapping gently with his tongue as he closed his eyes. But again, all of a sudden, he was out of the portal and next to Alea, glowing in the light of
the morning sun as he plummeted from the sky. “ARE YOU CRAZY?” He shouted. “YOU THOUGHT THIS WAS SAFE. I’M NEVER GOING TO TRUST YOU AGAIN. GOODBYE, THIS HOLY-REEKING PLACE OF SUN—“. But he was cut off by Alea. She just smiled at him, like a wise mentor to an apprentice. “Avalon, trust your instincts, and watch how I do it.” She closed her eyes, her red curls gracefully sweeping down, her long eyelashes visible as she spun in the air and twirled her finger. Her amber eyes blazed like molten gold as rays of light caught her face. Then she landed on a cloud and she gazed up at Avalon. “Now you try. Don’t be afraid. And I’ll catch you if you fall.”
Part 9: Break of the Fall
“AH!” He screamed as he continued plummeting towards the ground. “I
SHOULD HAVE NEVER TRUSTED YOU! YOU WANT TO KILL ME.” But as Alea glanced at him with an unmatched, confident intensity, he closed his eyes and searched for the voice in his head. He was desperate not to die, so he searched for his foolish, reckless, yet most adventurous voice, defying every single instinct to continue falling. Magic. The voice said, and without thinking, Avalon shot his finger at the ground, thinking of his favorite food. He braced for landing but he landed on a soft, honey-drizzled pancake with whipped cream. Alea gasped at his landing and chuckled. “Not the best, but you’re still learning. Good job.” Avalon stuffed his face with the gigantic honey-drizzled topped with whipped cream pancake, satisfying his stomach. “I need a break after that.” Suddenly, a stone whizzed through the air, narrowly missing Avalon and he turned around to see men and women booing him. “This is who?” They shouted. “To whom have we lost too, and why is there a child in the times of danger!” Alea’s eyes became fiery as she turned to the men and women, and a hush swept over the crowd. A man went to the front. “Princess of Elements,” he sayed when kneeling deeply. “Please, forgive
us, we did not recognize you.” Alea turned her gaze to him and gave him a small nod as an acknowledgment of respect, and then switched back to defending Avalon. “So wise and beautiful.” People murmured, but Alea waited for dead silence until she started speaking.
“This is your savior, your future, for everyone, behold, Avalon Star Inferinla has returned.” After that, most people gasped and fell to their knees, cheering, but some people grumbled and muttered insults under their breath about Avalon. Avalon scratched his head and Alea had to muffle her mouth not to giggle. “Avalon… look formal!” She said between laughs and then she straightened up, smoothed her short skirt and Avalon stuffed another piece of the pancake into his mouth and turned to the people. “Hello, pals! Want to try?” Alea’s jaw dropped open and she slapped her head but she stayed in her spot as she watched the citizens curiosity overwhelm them. When they put it to their mouths, they suddenly started squealing: “What is this magic!?” or “Good heavens! Why have I never tasted this before?” or “such an exquisite dish” or “so delicious!” and many things like that. Avalon turned to Alea, his eyebrows
scrunched up as he jumped off of the gigantic, fluffy pancake. Alea looked away and at him and she cleared her throat. “Elementals don’t really eat pancakes. Well, um, If you aren’t placed in high status those treats are hidden from you, er yeah, and you can’t afford those treats.” Avalon stared at her in shock. Then he pumped his fists into the air. “This is outrageous! Those treats should be allowed to everyone! Status discrimination!” Alea giggled a bit as she took Avalon’s hand, not in a romantic way, it was in a mentor-apprentice way. (Note from narrator: I MEAN IT’S OBVIOUSLY NOT ROMANTIC AVALON IS 11 AND ALEA IS LIKE, 23.) “Now we need to go to Elementa’s castle. Follow me.”
Part 10: Flashback
Avalon and Alea had trekked for hours, and they finally stopped to rest as Avalon panted. “Why. Can’t. You use your powers to create a portal for us.” Alea replied, gulping in sweet amounts of air as she did.
“Leren’s castle has an enchantment, on this whole mountain, so you.. can’t use.. your abilities to reach it GULP! To prevent .. intruders.” Avalon collapsed on the rocky ground, his head luckily landing on a pile of soft grass. “Then I’d better rest.” Alea sighed. “How about I go to the nearby river to get you some water? And then we go?” Avalon closed his eyes, his voice soft. “That sounds good. And more pancakes if we must.” Alea groaned as she went to the river. She stuck her hand into it, and the moment she touched it, an icy bolt shot down her spine and her body. It’s cold. She thought. She scooped up a handful of the precious, glimmering water in the sun. And then she searched around, quickly making a cup made of stone to store it in. As she turned to give it to Avalon, she bumped into a tree and froze, dropping the cup, the icy water gushing out like a waterfall. But Alea stumbled back as she stared at the tree. The fine, traced lines and the dark bark was familiar. The jade green leaves shining like unusual jewels. And the faint dark mark he had left on the tree.
14-year-old Alea was sitting by the cool, flowing stream of water,
splashing the sparkling drops, mesmerized. “Mother, this is so cool!” Adeline smiled, as she braided Young Alea’s hair. They both looked so alike, the only very noticeable differences was that Adeline’s eyes were ice blue and Alea’s warm amber, and Alea’s cheeks were plumper. “Sweetheart, your mother needs to do some business. I’ll be right back.” Alea nodded, being good. A while passed and she calmly lapped at the brilliant, clear icy blue water and her gaze went to the sky. She started fidgeting and decided to go look for her mother. But just after she got her feet out of the water, she was tackle-hugged to the ground. “Who’s there? I know Elemental Martial Arts, I warn you-“. But she gasped and giggled when she saw who just tackle-hugged her. “Everlon.” He was a cute boy, in HER opinion with spiky brown, golden-tipped hair and ice blue eyes, filled with warmth in them. He wore an emerald-green
earth-controller suit, kind of like heavy, bulky armor but not that heavy and bulky. “I passed, Alea! I passed the Advanced Earth exam as the youngest in my class!” Alea laughed along, and she found herself staring into his icy blue eyes as she saw her soulmate. She always felt complete
and more confident and relaxed near Everlon, and he stared back. “What are you looking at?” He teased. Alea felt her cheeks blush pink. But then she remembered her mother and her lessons. “I have things to do, Everlon, we can play again another time.” She expected Everlon to budge, but he didn’t. He just stared at her and pinned her down. After an uneasy while, she sighed. “Look, I know this is not easy, but I have things to do.” She budged against Everlon with all her might, and finally collapsed in his grip. Everlon’s gaze hardened, his icy blue eyes turning into frosty intensity as he stared her down, dead serious. “Don’t lie to me, Alea. Where did you put the dark wand?” She pursed her lips, genuinely confused. “Look, this is not funny!” She yelled. But Everlon held his ground. “Is it a toy or something? We can find it together.” She said in her most genuine, gentle and sweet voice. But something distracted her. Everlon was holding up a trail of darkness and young alea paled as it clicked. “N-no.” She whispered. “You? You can’t be them. I-i-impossible.” Everlon shoved her even harder to the ground. “Now you know. So tell me. Or you’ll die.” He held the trail of darkness menacingly at he
throat.Young alea sighed and she bit her lip, her eyes glassy as she stared into Everlon’s eyes. “I can’t, Everlon. I can’t.” And her eyes hardened and she kicked him in the stomach. His eyes darkened as he shot a powerful ray of darkness at Alea, but it wasn’t at Alea and she flew around to see what was happening. Her mother was back, and the spell was shot at her. All young alea remembered after was stumbling into the icy river, and the last thing she saw was the icy blue gazes of both people she loved, one she hated and one of her blood. Then she blacked out.
“No, Everlon, I will tell you! You can harm me, kill me, anything, but don’t harm my mother!” She woke up to a dumbfounded and worried face with chocolate brown eyes. It was Avalon, his golden-brown own hair spiked up and messy as he stared at Alea in worry. “Thank god you’re awake, I was beginning to think something did something to you.” Alea brushed him off as she straightened, perhaps too quickly. “I’m fine, I’m fine, it’s just old memories.” Alea could see his eyebrows scrunched up, but he didn’t press further and he let her lean on him for support. As they closed the final distance between them and Elementa’s castle, Alea’s amber eyes
were misty, for she only now knew that Avalon was the one, the one and truly one to restore star sight.
Part 11: Forever Hall
Avalon and Alea had finally reached Elementa’s castle. The moment Avalon layed eyes on it, he gasped, his eyes widening, his voice cracky. The castle was an exqusitie masterpiece, formed with clear, pale blue crystals in the shape of a gigantic crystal. Massive, semi-sided circle shaped windows stuck to the castle in several areas, covered with misty glittering dark blue curtains. The entrance was open with a curtain adorned with precious dangling crystals and beautiful pink petals. Four rows of guards lined the sides, wearing crystal blue armor as they clutched their crystal spears. As Alea and Avalon moved across, the bowed silently and deeply. Alea nodded and ushered for Avalon to move faster. “This, this, I must be dreaming.” Avalon said, rubbing his eyes.
“Walk quickly and stay quiet. No time right now.” Avalon nodded and clamped his mouth shut as he admired the massive palace walls, color-stained glass windows, and the soft flowers hanging from the ceiling. After walking for a while in tense silence, they bumped into a lady with dark brown hair neatly tied into a crystal-flower-adorned braid, wearing a tight dress, black, polished boots with dark-blue crystal laces, and fierce red eyes blazing with the intensity of a thousand suns. Her skin was dark(note from narrator:I’M NOT BEING RACIST), and her lips were a flawless, glossy red. She smiled playfully, a twinkle in her eye as Alea and Avalon approached. “Hello! I’m sherina, deputy guard, follow me down the grand hall! But please beware, for wispy trails do call after all.” Avalon scratched his head again as Alea and Sherina exchanged glances. They giggled to each other and calmly continued walking on the soft, velvety red carpet. Avalon went back to marveling at the spectacular beauty. The pillars were tall, made out of crystal and carved with elegant patterns, one noticeable one a symbol of fire. Beautifully crafted marble statues and paintings were displayed on the ways, showing off apparently
important people in Infara. Lastly, delicate stone baskets were lined on the top of the ceiling, filled with pink petals gently showering down. Avalon touched one with the tip of his finger and his jaw dropped as he examined it.
Flawless beauty, but with hints of lemon and cherry scents.
“You can eat it, you know.”
He turned around to see Sherina at the back of him along with Alea, and Sherina held one petal softly and put it into her mouth. Avalon’s eyes widened as he dropped the petal too into his mouth and he literally melted on the spot. It tasted like bittersweet memories, the perfect amount of sugar and sourness, with hints of tiny salt, flavorful. He couldn’t find any word good enough to describe it except,, “magical.” Suddenly, he was pulled into reality with the sounds of giggling and he whipped around, not secretly. He saw Sherina whispering into Alea’s ear and his own ears perked up to see what they were giggling about.
“Did you try the new dish? I heard the village mayor did and he and the dish ended up becoming the laugh stock of Ravenkeet!”
“Wow. So much has happened when I was away in the human world, I need to try the dish, if it is even as bad as it tastes.”
Suddenly, when they saw Avalon, they froze and Avalon smiled. “It’s okay I just heard a noise and I turned around to check.” With that, he turned around again, his back to them, and he bit his lip, trying to hide the jealousy in his eyes. I’m too clumsy and untrained. But I really want to see Alea proud. They walked for a while with silence hung in the air. Finally, after what seemed like an eternity of walking, and what seemed like his limit, they finally stopped at a gigantic, aqua-blue door locked with heavy crystal chains. Avalon collapsed on the ground and counted minutes until he had sucked in his needed share of breaths, and immediately sprang up to open the door, grunting as he pulled and pushed at it, but it wouldn’t) budge. He even tried shooting spells at it, but he paused when he remembered that the castle was protected by an anti-magic spell, meaning magic was not an option. “Um, miss sherina? How do we open
this door?” He blinked eagerly, waiting for a response but Sherina started howling, laughing when he asked the question. Even Alea couldn’t hide a snicker. “It says the key word on the scroll, read it.” When Avalon turned around again, he saw an ancient scroll but there was one problem. He couldn’t read the language of Elementals! “Um. I think I may have made an accident so I’ll just sit here-.” But Sherina grabbed his hand swiftly and turned him to the ancient scroll, and Alea tried to gently push Sherina back but Sherina winked at her and she rolled her eyes. “Sherina. Let. Him. Go.” Sherina begrudgingly gave in and asked Avalon the question he was dreading. “Do you know how to read? Elemental language?” Alea looked at him with fake curiosity, knowing his answer and whispered. “Just say the truth.” Finally, Avalon did something super weird. “you are a dinkus.” And with that, Sherina blinked and started cackling and howling. “He doesn’t know how to read! Avalon doesn’t know how to read!” As much as Alea tried to resist, she let slip a giggle and Avalon stomped in frustration. “Are you going to help me or not?” Sherina tried to use fake coughs to disguise her laughter. “Well, *cough*, it says, *cough*, Lady
Isterie, *cough*., There. Hap—HA-ppy how?”
“Oh.”
Avalon’s cheeks turned red and he slowly stepped to the back of Sherina, allowing her to take the lead. She smiled cheerily as the wide door creaked open, and she bowed, letting Alea and Avalon pass. “Oh one more thing.” She said, turning to Avalon. “Beware, for harsh storms stray beyond, not so far away, and today, shall you meet the lord, bow, don’t give a sword.” Before Avalon could ask her what she meant, the door shut with a slam and Sherina was on the other side.
Part 12: Lord of Stone
The instant Avalon layed eyes on him, he could see what Sherina had
meant. A tall man with stone cold dark eyes, snowy white breeches, curly yellow hair, wearing a tiger-orange jacket laced elegantly with decorative white and silver frills trimmed around stared at them. He huffed as he slid on a long, dark blue cloak elegantly decorated with patterns of golden plants and fiddled with his beaded necklace.
“So you’re the one who’s supposed to save Infara.” Lord Instle said, his raven-black shiny shoes clicking on the floor as he inched closer.
After moments of inspection, Alea firmly stood in Instle’s way. “This has to stop. We are here not for your pleasure, but for the meeting with the Empress.” Instle grunted as he sank back in his chair red, velvety throne-like chair. “Very well. Are you sure this boy?” He sneered the word, directing it at Avalon and he continued. “Are you sure this 11 yr old boy is capable of such a task? He hasn’t shown any abilities, no?” Avalon cut in. “I summoned a pancake. A fat, honey-drizzled gigantic pancake.” Lord Instle howled like a werewolf. “A pancake? My, my, how will the dark ever survive the wrath of a pancake? You see, that is pointless.” Avalon could feel the oil and sting in his sarcastic voice, and he blushed, but his jaw
tightened and he was about to activate his abilities but Alea held his hand and took a deep breath. Before Alea could cut in, Instle directed his stony cold gaze to her, never unwavering, and Avalon swore he felt the temperature rising until Instle spoke. “He must be enrolled in the very best school, only if he proves his power there, I shall re-consider.” Alea glared at Instle. “He’s enrolled at Leren’s Castle. Besides, mind your own elements and give us some peace.” Instle paused for moments and then he slid out his pale white hand and nodded to the chairs. “Sit.” He said, his voice as cold and steely as stone. Avalon tried to bow but then stopped himself just in time. That would be embarrassing. The chair he sat in was golden with a red pillow, incrusted with golden patterns and leaves. Avalon could swear on his life that the temperature instantly dropped the moment he sat, and he started shivering. Meanwhile, Alea was still pacing. Then Instle tried to whip up a conversation with Avalon. “Have you wondered why Alea ever chose you?” Avalon found his curiosity striking up, and he slowly looked up at Instle, ready to smash him, his fists balled and shaky, and he almost tripped but he paused in
his steps. Something wasn’t right. He wasn’t as skilled as others, and even his grades in school were average. He frowned, his jaw tightening, his mind swirling as he stood still, frozen in time. Doubt flickered and he flopped right back on his seat. “Why me? I’m a , I’m a, useless, ordinary schoolboy.” Instle smirked. “Exactly. So-“. Suddenly, there was the sounds of a trumpet and confetti was blown in the air and both males turned to see Alea red and fuming, pointing her finger at Instle’s chest but she was also stopped by the sound. A guard marched in first, with royals and nobles behind him and he recited a scroll out loud. “ Lady Audralia Arabell Serena Istal Viola, Lord David narrow, Lord Conrad Ivian, Liabell Feria Inferinla, and Empress Staria, Staria Ishal Ivia Isterie, Lady of Hope, Queen of Peace, at last arrives! Get ready, for it is the Empress and her royal court!”
Part 13: She’s a traitor!
Avalon stood up, his cheeks flushed and his jaw dropped open as he saw the wave The Empress and her Royal Court walking in. They were led by Sherina, who was apparently, Serena, wearing her same guard outfit and she twirled her curls playfully as the sun shined on her dark skin. Following up was Lord who had dark brown eyes, who wore manly blue robes laced with golden laces and crystal buttons were sewed on his robe. He brushed his neat, fine spiky brown hair. Following up was Lord Conrad Ivian, who titled his chin high up and regally, showing off his athletic body shape, dressed in blue robes as well, and he had blonde wispy bangs. Avalon scratched his head, and mostly everyone’s attention turned to him and he saw Alea’s face and quickly put his hands down. Then came the part that would change everything. Awkward excitement hung in the air and Avalon peeked over, and the revelation put him to his knees, the blood drained from his face, and his knuckles turned white. The first thing he noticed was the resemblance of their nose bridges, cheeks, and bone structure. A girl with soft black curls styled in a high ponytail entered the room, her bone structure sharp and her eyes blue.
She wore a wispy, beautiful pearl-incrusted blue gown with layers of silk and fabric. Diamond earrings hung from her ears, and she stared at everyone in the room coldly until her eyes were about to lay on Avalon. Then Avalon ducked beneath a chair just in time, so she didn’t see him.
Avalon shook, his body trembling as he forced himself not to shout with every ounce of willpower in his body.
That’s Lia. He thought. Lia. He peered to see if any of the other council members had reactions, but apart from him and Alea’s horrified glances, everyone else was normal, and Avalon was about to muster his courage to stand up on a chair and spoil the truth of Lia. Lia. Liabell. Or whatever. But then the a girl flung the door and walked up to the room, with a silver tiara, her brown hair in a tight, stylistic bun, her deep aqua-blue eyes staring into the soul of everyone as she scanned the room and spotted Avalon beneath the chair. Avalon assumed that that was the empress as he narrowed his eyes and nodded. Is this a dress party? What they should be doing is to put that traitor in her rightful place. He gulped as the Empress called him. “What are you doing under that chair?” She
said, her voice booming and holding authority. “Come up.” Avalon slowly came up and sat on his chair, feeling everyone’s eyes on him and Lia’s blue eyes flashing with desapir and horror, and everyone stared at Avalon as he not-so-gracefully bumped his head on the chair, tripped again and rose, dusting his pants. He pointed his shaky finger at Lia. “She’s a traitor!”
“Traitor!”
”Traitor!
Lord Instle eyed Avalon with his same oily, cold manner. Sherina stared at him in shock and Lord Conrad and Lord David just clinked their iced-lemonade blue-colored drinks and downed them in a gulp.
Avalon’s stinging accusation hang in the room, echoing over and over again until there was dead silence.
The Empress sighed and spoke to Avalon. “There is no reason to believe that Liabell is a traitor, but we aren’t monsters. We deliver justice and if you have evidence, by all means, spill the beans.”
Avalon’s eyes widened as his hands trembled, and he forced them still as
he took a deep breath. There was no time left to waste. He had to get back to his normal life as soon as possible, and this was step 1.
“So Lia, Liabell, whoever, did not tell me what the information was about here, I CAN understand okay? But she turned into a crazy maniac and tried to kill me. Had not Alea showed up, I bet she would have killed me and the story you could have been discussing could have been MY STORY.” Lia stared at him with a strange look as she pointed her chin regally at the sky. “I do not recognize this boy.” She declared, her voice firm. Avalon snorted. “Don’t be so stupid. The resemblance is, well.” Avalon did NOT want to say the word but he could tell from the eyes of the council that they agreed with him. Empress Staria sighed. “But have you collected actual proof? A fragment of dangerous magic or proof? For I mean people can tell it’s truthful with their own eyes.” Avalon sighed and the room went quiet. Empress Staria waited, turned her head around, and when she was certain he didn’t have proof, she took a deep breath and was about to continue until Alea interrupted. “I saw it.” Her face was dark and her amber eyes? Molten, burning, embers of fire rising
and flickering. “Liabell indeed tried to harm Avalon, and Avalon is a 11-yr old child. And Lia used dark magic.” Empress Staria frowned as she beckoned her royal court closer, along with Lia, whom’s eyes were cold and dark as steel and she slipped one secret smirk to Avalon, enraging him and folded his arms, his nostrils flaring but Alea held him back. “All we can do now is wait.” Avalon stared at her, his eyes glassy and realized she was right and he sat back. After a while, the royal court sat into their seats and Empress Staria did her announcements. “We believe that the boy has been hexed with a spell from Everlon, for Liabell ensures us she didn’t do it and allowed us to search her memories, and none include harming Avalon. As for you, Princess of Elements,”. Empress Staria turned to Alea, her eyes flaring and Alea stood up respectfully and gracefully, without bumping into anything or tripping. “We discussed and we have our suspicions of you, so we sentence you to trial awaiting in the Elementor’s Eledawn.” Then Lord Instle, Sherina, and the guards guarding the doors gasped and Sherina led it.
“Please, Empress, reconsider! This is the princess you are talking about!
“Empress, forgive me, and I usually do not speak up, but I fear that you might have gone too far.”
”What?”
“we can punish her!”
“Punishment she shall receive, but not from you!” The Empress thundered, her voice like lightning bolts, with a tiny bit of cracks in them.
“Do you remember at the very first time when her task was to fight Morana? And she needed accomplices?”
Sherina frowned and she continued.
“She was just a 13 yr old! Surely you can have sympathy for young girls!”
”The rhyming is infuriating me, Sherina. I said await trial and we are not confirming it yet. One more time, and you are banned from the council.”
Alea gave Sherina a pleading look, and she shut up. Lord Conrad and Lord David observed, their hands trembling a bit but they continued respecting the Empress.
“You remember when her team failed to restore Star Sight after Everlon destroyed it? And now we are pining our hopes on young children. Meanwhile, we shall send Avalon to Leren’s castle to start his studies. He’s going to need it—.”
”Can I say something?”
Everyone’s eyes turned to the hoarse, quiet, bleak voice and Avalon was standing again, stumbling as he stood, looking at the ground. “I’m.. Not sure I really want to go. And I might not be the one.”
“Nonsense!” Empress Staria said, and she rose from her throne.
“Guards, take the Princess for trial now, and Avalon, you are going to be sent to Leren’s Castle, by the demand of the council. Surely you cannot refuse a direct order? Or will I have to force you?”
Avalon scratched his head and Alea hissed in his ear.
“Empress Staria is a mind manipulator, don’t get on her bad side.”
Hearing that, Avalon shivered out of fright as tingles jolted down his spine and he straightened.
The empress arched one beautiful eyebrow and Avalon bit his tongue to
hide his shock as she tilted her chin high regally. “Yes, Empress.” He said, and he scratched his head one last time to annoy her.
Alea immediately got up and put her hands on Avalon’s shoulders, her eyes flickering with intensity. “Do it for me, Avalon. Do it for the thousands of innocents and your friends. And don’t blame the empress. She’s had a rough life, and she’s just another tired woman who’s trying to support Elementa the best she can. You can’t change the past, but you can change the future. Remember this.” She whispered quietly. Avalon muffled his tears as he hugged her one last time. Not caring if he was making a scene, he squeezed Alea as tight as he could as the guards hooked their arms on Alea and dragged her away. His heart pounded in his chest and he rose, knowing he could only hope Alea was okay, and her words echoed in his mind.
You can’t change the past, but you can change the future. Rising to his knees, he faced the Empress. “When do I leave?”
Part 14: Betrayal
Alea pursed her lips as Lia shook her dyed-black hair and took off her blue contact lenses. Her eyes were actually an amber like Alea’s, and Alea hated how it reminded her of herself. “Well, sis, you’re in a trial. Good luck.” Lia smirked and Alea sighed, heavy-hearted. “You were always jealous of me, Liabell, but I never thought you’d stoop this low.” Lia replied back with a cool, calm tone. “And I always thought you would stop being a chicken but nope. If there’s anything that life has taught me, princesses always end up chickens.” Alea’s eyes burned as she calculated plans in her mind, swirling. “You really don’t care, do you?”
“No.”
”Why not? The dark isn’t always the right answer.”
”and the light isn’t always the right answer either. Look at you, trying to be so noble and summoning me to the elementor’s eledawn, but I somehow escape and the Empress puts blame on you. Life is unfair, and
grow up, sis. You’re the older sister, you should know better.”
”And here I was thinking why you did that. He’s Avalon, your son, and you still join the dark.”
Lia shot a ray of yellow light from her finger at Alea’s mouth, and Alea tries to dodge, forgetting the chains holding her but luckily dodges, while breaking her elbow bones and she groans in agony. Lia’s upper lip curls into a slow smirk. “Well played, sis, well played, and you don’t have any proof.”
“You can’t deny it either!”
”Oh I know, but I’ll do my duty, and it surely it won’t hurt to have some fun?”
She walked closer to Alea and twisted Alea’s arm, making Alea jump and grit her teeth. “You’re stronger than I thought” Lia says, her eyes cold and calculating as she paces around the room, her eyes deep and focused.
Alea raised her chained fists and strikes at Lia, but then Lia dodged and punched her in the face. Then everything went black, and the last thing she saw was Lia creating a dark portal.
Part 15: Getting Into Leren’s Castle
What have I done? He thought, his hands trembling as he reached for his bag. He sat on velvety cushions in a crystal carriage, but all he could think of was that horrible meeting. How Empress Sherina had condemned Alea to the Elementor’s Eledawn, even though he didn’t know what that meant. His hands shook and his bag slipped from his hands, dropping onto the floor and bumping into another pair of black shoes in front of him.
“Oh I’m so so-“.
“Watch where you’re going! Jerk!”
Avalon fumbled for words and his cheeks became red as he realized one, he bumped into someone on his first day, two, they were rude, three, he was a total outsider, and four, he had apparently bumped into one of the most beautiful girl he had ever seen, apart from Alea. She glared at him
with cat-like yellowish emerald slits, and her dark silky black hair was pulled into two ponytails and clipped with emerald jade, crescent moon shaped pins. Her cheeks were pale, and her hands were placed on her red skirt, leading down to her high hiked black leggings, her fingers long and flexible. He got the bag and placed it in the emerald jade machine for security checks, and walked over and received his bag in an instant. As he walked around the white pillars and massive halls, he trembled, feeling out of place in the school as he tried to blend in with the other students, who seemed to have a familiarity with the place already.
Blend in. He thought, taking deep, shaky breaths.
Do it for Alea. Remember her words. You can’t change the past, but you can change the future.
Avalon clung on to those words so tightly as he clutched his white schoolbag and he forced himself to look around. There were several spiraling staircases and gigantic murals of people and paintings hung on the walls. Precious fruits and jewels hung on to smooth, intricately-patterned vines, and fluttery, transparent curtains traced around the
glass windows. He walked and walked, following the other students, aching with a numbness as he stared at the floor, and he was soon led to a grand hall, dark and massive with rows of red seats, where all students gathered. Avalon didn’t think. Just sat on a chair as he stared at the spotlight, where a tall lady with white hair and sharp facial structure stood. Avalon gulped, and scratched his head. He turned around to see if anyone was gawking at him, and he sure saw someone’s shocked face and instantly regretted it. The blood drained from his face as he squinted closer. It was someone with black hair and marble blue eyes. For a moment, both boys stared at each other and Avalon was the first to break the silence.
“Abel?”
Part 16: The Sorting
Both boys stared at each other, pinching themselves to make sure they
weren’t dreaming. Then Avalon shook, his heart pounding.
Please be a dream, please be a dream. But it wasn’t. And the cold waves of reality sunk in, chilling to the bone and deep in his skin. Roblox. Minecraft. YouTube. Schooling subjects. PE. Basketball. The interests they shared, all shattered suspiciously.
“Avalon, I know what you are thinking but let me-“.
“No, no, no, no.”
”Please, Avalon-“.
“Do you know how it feels like, Abel? To have your best friend betray you? IT’S ENOUGH! It’s torture when you have been betrayed by your own mother, then you figure out that you have been lied to your whole life, and then it turns out that your best friend is a liar too! How many times have you spilled my secrets? And did you just befriend me because I was supposedly the one to restore star sight? Under The Princess of Elements order? Just leave me alone already for heaven’s sake, man. Is your name even Abel? Are you actually Chinese? Do you even like Christmas?.”
Abel reached for Avalon’s hand but he yanked it away, and he looked back at Abel, his eyes flashing as he saw the glints of desperation in Abel’s gaze.
“I never want to see you again.” Then Avalon stood up, pushing past rows of people until he found a new empty seat. Tears spilled down his eyes but he couldn’t care less. He just wanted to be as far away from Abel as possible and he ended up sitting next to the girl with yellowish emerald eyes again and she gave him a death glare. He tried to stand up to search for another empty seat, but the girl yanked him back. “Too late. The sorting is on.”
Then the tall lady with white hair adjusted her glasses as she got up to the stage, and all the lights went dark, the only light being the spotlight on the stage.
“Welcome, fellow students, to Leren’s Castle, where prodigies are created, where you could achieve unlimited goals and where you educate yourself for the greater good, or the greater bad.” The lady chuckled and cleared her throat.
Everyone stared at the lady with bated breath.
“But before we can start our journey, we have a tradition. At every start of the year, newcomers will be sorted into your groups depending on levels of purity, goodness, and wickedness, and your abilities, which will dive deep into your body and soul and search for your sources. Let the sorting began.”
The lady kept calling names to the front and they remained in the spotlight, and she closed her eyes and slipped out a slender crystal wand, and she waved it, and trails of sparkles flew around the new students, flashing mainly the color black, pink, yellow, or green. Sometimes it would flash dark red, the color of blood and lust, or blue, the color of calmness and peace. Typically, it would go like this:
“Thomas Archer!”
A blonde guy with blue eyes came up, and mostly colors of pink flashed around. A bit of blue flashed around with yellow, and the elder declared.
“Thomas Archer, Hero Heart!”
The girl next to Avalon whispered to his dumbstruck face.
“Hero Heart is for the puny softies, where the heroes go, Ray Wing is the second goodie shoes house, and poisoned lyrics is dark, and The Dark Shadows is where the true masters go. Just helping you out.”
Avalon stared at her, shocked as she gave him a catlike wink.
“By the looks of you, it seems like..You’re not going to be a master.”
Then it was her turn.
“Ming Aralia!”
She walked to the front effortlessly as she eyed the wand and she stood in the spotlight, closing her catlike pupils, her black hair hanging, smooth and silky. Avalon felt himself blush, and he gritted his teeth. Get a grip, man! Why is she so hot? Argh. Then the colors of black and dark green swirled around her, and she smiled as she thought things she thought pleasant. Then there was one second of flashing yellow and pink, but it disappeared as soon as it came and she frowned.
“Ming Aralia, Poisoned lyrics!”
Avalon smacked himself.
Why didn’t I see that coming?
Soon, most of the students were sorted into their houses, and only Avalon’s name wasn’t called out. Avalon clenched his fists as he shook.
“Avalon Inferia!” Avalon walked up to the spotlight, trembling as he felt everyone’s gazes on him, and the confident catlike slits. He trembled as he thought of Alea again.
Then he took a deep breath as the elder lifted her wand and trails of colors flew around him, swirling like the rainbow.
Unlike the others, all the colors of all houses kept swirling around him, clouding, confusing everyone and it turned into a whirlwind, swirling forever. The audience gaped, dumbstruck but then the elder whispered a spell to help him and Avalon thought of Alea again. You can’t change the past, but you can change the future.
Then finally, clouds of smoke surrounded Avalon and they were struck away by flickering light red colors.
The elder frowned as she squinted at Avalon, and she took out her crystal wand, tapped Avalon lightly on the head with it, and said.
“Hero Heart.”
Avalon heard a collective wave of gasps in the audience, and he tried to ask the elder.
“Excuse me, miss.”
”Young man, I am quite busy right now. Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to go.”
And Avalon was left with no option for explanation. Except two people. One who he hated, and one who he hated even more. He gritted his teeth as he thought.
Empress Staria. Or Abel.
Part 17: An Impossible Task
Avalon fiddled with his thumbs as he was sorted into his stream class and dorm list for Hero Heart. At the first day, they were just doing introductions and tours, they received crystal blue watches, and they were listening to teachers explain and give out hints of what they were going to learn, but all Avalon could hear was blah blah blah.
His dorm list included some weird boys named:
Thomas Archer(the guy who was sorted at the start)
Bawl Lin
Neon Flash
Flaunt William
Rohn Dal
Avalon looked at the scroll, and then he switched his gaze to his normal stream class, which had Thomas Archer, two girls named Ruby and Rula, and apparently Abel, then someone named Diana, and Lawn.
Sweat beaded on his skin as he continued thinking. It felt like an eternity and an impossible task.
If I choose the Empress, she knows the most information, but she was
