Long ago, in South Sumatra, there lived a prince named Serunting. He was strong, brave, and very famous in his kingdom. Many people respected him because he had great power. He lived near a small village surrounded by forests and rivers.

In the village, there lived a kind girl named Siti and her younger brother Aria Tebing. They lived in a simple little house left by their parents. Every day, they worked together on their farm and helped each other happily. Even though they were poor, they always lived peacefully together.

The palace was big and beautiful, but Siti did not feel completely happy. Every day, she thought about her younger brother, Aria Tebing, who lived alone in the village. She missed talking and working with him. The prince noticed that Siti often looked quiet and sad.

Prince Serunting challenged Aria Tebing to a fight because he was very angry. Aria felt afraid because the prince was strong and powerful.
